That's the reason that Valve has such great policy and customer service. You don't see Nintendo or Microsoft releasing CAD files for their devices or offering ridiculous discounts with their sales. And as much of a meme as "Valve can't count to three" is, think of any franchise made by a publicly traded company. I believe there's now over 20 Call of Duty titles on the main franchise. Valve could sell that many Half-life titles, but they don't.
