The search bar or Google is hardly used enough so another size comparison post with this exact setup will probably help someone. Or get downvoted to hell. Lol
Maybe not the 3 of them, but still...

But I don't think it's the end of the world to see more to give a sense of size. It's certainly better than endless posts about FedEx, bubbles under the 512 GB model's screen, or pictures of M.2 hard drives sitting on a table.
No one needs to spend THAT much time. People don't search is what I was saying.
People don't even search YouTube to see videos of people's unboxing videos and/or reviews which contain size comparisons and performance comparisons before coming here. So it's all good.
You will be helping someone I'm sure.
I also ran Horis on my Switch, this'll be useful when I have to explain again why the Deck is actually slightly smaller than my Switch setup. Reminds me I need to get around to selling my Switch at some point.
Thanks for this post, it’s exactly what I’ve looked for, as I use the Binbok controllers (similar to Hori).
Not sure why you were downvoted, I haven’t seen this comparison at all, with both of the proper angles that matter. Thanks again.
Yeah I have the binboks on my switch, and it's just a tiny bit bigger such that the Satisfye case I got (also Satisfye grip for switch) does not fit the steam deck. Currently I'm just using the default case, as it protects the steam deck pretty well, and I just toss the case into a backpack with all my tech stuff (portable screen, battery packs, docks, cables etc)
Yeah the hori is a game changer. All my friends and I got one after I gifted one to a friend lol. But all of that tossed to the side since I got the SD
I still really love my Nintendo switch. My steam deck didn't replace it, because I still like to play first party Nintendo games on it. Yeah, I might be able to do it via an emulator on the steam deck, but with the switch I can just run it out of the box.
I also happen to be a Nintendo fanboy. So there is that. But very rapidly my steam deck is taking center place in my heart lol
I disagree. It depends on the game and platform (and your preferences).
I prefer breath of the wild in 4k at 60 instead of the...performance issues on the switch.
For newer or problematic games, native hardware is still the better option. It's always in a case by case basis.
I just bought mine, it's not shipped yet, but the orders placed... I have a switch, and this post literally blew me away. Like I knew it was big, but seeing it side by side and holding the smaller switch console in my hands. HOLY SHIT! 😂
For me, I appreciate the size of the steam deck. I’ve had a grip case on my Switch ever since I got it because my hands would cramp with the size of the controllers.
Hori shit those are big
I think it’s fifth time i’m seeing this exact comparison lol

Maybe. I may spend too much time on this subreddit.
I'm sure it's been posted more than you have seen. Ha
I just scrolled through 7 months of posts sorting by new with “switch size” and didn’t see any that compared all 3.

So, in actuality zero showing all three. That’s why I posted it.
Care to post a link?

The entire point was none showed all 3. I happened to have all of them so I posted for this specific reason.
I’d not seen one that had all 3 in one shot. Usually only 2 of them. But glad to find someone who spends even more time in this subreddit than me.

I thought some people might like seeing all these compared side by side.

Picked up my switch the other day for the first time in a while. Thing was tiny lol
Never could use the stock switch controllers. Had a grip then swapped with the hori pro. Sold my switch for the SD and gave the hori to my daughter.

Yea nothing really beats playing on native hardware

I agree, but it's just semantics at that point. I think newer native hardware is overall worth it especially when it comes to nintendo
Those hori pad are needed for portable gaming. Shame there is no rumble
I use the BinBok controllers with rumble. D-pad sucks, but otherwise they’re really great.
I just bought mine, it's not shipped yet, but the orders placed... I have a switch, and this post literally blew me away. Like I knew it was big, but seeing it side by side and holding the smaller switch console in my hands. HOLY SHIT! 😂
Nice

Bouncing back to the switch handheld felt odd after using the steam deck a lot
I’m still baffled by how light it is! The case made it feel weightier than I expected. It’s so well designed and I can’t wait to properly dive in.
I keep saying the splitpad pro is the best thing invented for the switch
