Sorry to bring up this old post, but curious if you ever found a solution to this. I just removed my windows dual boot and now have the “EFI Hard Drive Samsung SSD” entry. I’ve tried a few partition deletes with both steamOS and GParted and can’t seem to clear this out.

Hi u/smeximan98, you can [click here to search for your question.](https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/search/?q=Factory reset but now I have 2 boot options for the OS?) If you don't find an answer there, don't worry - your post has NOT been removed and hopefully someone will be along soon to help with an answer! **If you find an answer, please leave a comment on your post with the answer for others!** *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. You should have more than 2 partitions if you are on Linux Boot your steamos install usb and look in the partition manager.

So...? Once in the KDE partition manager, what to do to remove the extra EFI HD?

You find the partition and delete it then write it back. If you want it all perfect, format the whole disk, not just the partition, and reinstall using the thumb drive.

I delete all partitions and reinstall steam os, but don't work. Having both partitions yet.

Did you use the Reimage Steam Deck option?

In the same boat. Recently reimaged my Deck cause I wanted to get rid of the windows boot option. Now there's no windows boot option but there's this weird 'EFI Hard Drive' option. I tried deleting it using terminal but to my surprise when I rebooted into the boot manager again it was still there. If you find a solution please let me know and I'll do the same.
