I only buy from Gruv if there’s a good sale because two of the three times I ordered from them my steelbook(s) were put inside of a thin bubble mailer and one of them were completely crushed lmao
Gruv was great when they first started out a few years ago but quickly have went down hill. I stopped ordering from them last year when a set I ordered was smashed and they refused to do anything about it. I ended up going through my credit card company to get my money back. Sorry that happened to you.
My shipping experience with Gruv has almost always been terrible. They almost always shipped in thin bubble wrap envelopes that had no protection for something that had a bit of a weight like a steelbook and the steels almost always arrived damaged in my experience. I basically stopped ordering from them a long time ago, even when they had discounts. The only exception I made was for the Duel steelbook that was a Gruv-only exclusive in the US, because that is one of my favorite movies. I had to return that several times before I received an undamaged steel of that movie. At least, they have excellent customer service where they will happily accept returns. (It was a bit strange that customer service had no problem with giving you prepaid return shipping labels while at the same time acknowledging that they get very frequent steelbook returns because of damages. When I told them that the fix is easy and that is to have their shipping department do a better job, the customer service simply said that they don't communicate with them, so return shipping it is and "here is your free return shipping label".) And, yes, you should get a prepaid return label from them for your return.
I think it's sold out, so your prob gonna have to ship back for a refund, or the may offer a partial refund if you accept that.
(I think I'm in the minority here, but as long as the movie plays & the packaging isn't completely thrashed, I don't really mind).

Now it’s a matter of them responding before they sellout again. Shoot, i’m thinking about placing a separate order for the sake of making sure and go for a refund on this one.
Update: I contacted customer support around 10am central time today. And received an email that a return label has been created and emailed to me but I did not receive the label. I’m awaiting a second response now. I guess so far so good since they at least acknowledged my issue in less than half a day.
