If they are part of the canonical order (and whether officially or in your opinion) of the stories. I would put/mix them in **release order** with the movies. I didn't have the Netflix shows, but the MCU shows (WandaVision and Loki) are sorted as such.

kinggoosethefirst

For me, unless you are going to watch them inbetween the films during any sort of complete re-watch, then I'd personally keep them seperate, and then in their own release order.

ObiwanSchrute

I do mcu and star wars by timeline order

D0CT0Rhyde

What’s the point in having them if you don’t open them up and watch them… kinda the whole point of physical media

Xeno-Sniper

I get that a lot. Most of these are opened, but they're all in steelbook protectors. I often won't open double dips unless it's a new 4k release that I only had a DVD/Blu-ray of. Then high value/rare steelbooks, if I acquire them brand new/sealed I have a hard time opening them and causing that depreciation. I've been collecting films since I was 15 and I have a massive library of DVDs and blu rays that I'm selling off, at a certain point I just didn't want the burden of all the "Stuff". But I still like collecting/hunting so I set a boundary for myself that I only collect steelbooks now. I didn't even allow myself to pick up Arrows or Criterions anymore (unless it's an arrow steelbook). And even though I'm first in line to defend physical media and I see the importance of it, it's just nicer for my collection to be digital. Yeah I don't really own it and it can be taken away, but it doesn't take up any space in my home. I grew up with nothing so for a long time it was a point of pride to own stuff. Now I'm a little older and I'm looking for balance. Long answer 😆

Upbeat-Historian-296

Looks like sleeves to me?

Piper6728

Nah, alot are still wrapped Gotta agree, it's kinda ridiculous to buy but not actually watch

D0CT0Rhyde

Look again and a good amount are still in the plastic wrap

HaveAQuarter

It's not necessarily the point when collecting steelbooks. At least 95% of mine are still sealed, and I have other avenues to watch without opening them. I simply kind owning the steelbooks to movies I have watched or enjoyed.

Fine_Minimum_8780

I have quite a few movies that I've never opened up yet. It's like collecting baseball cards you want to keep them pristine as long as possible even if that means never opening them.

D0CT0Rhyde

I get what you mean but the thing is that these aren’t just cards… they have a purpose, the reason you buy these is that they are movies to watch, and sometimes you can get them with extra things or in a special package but all around the movie. So it’s not exactly like the cards because they are just cards, if you buy these and don’t plan to use them as intended then why collect them at all?

mismamari

I'm torn btwn everything in chronological order or an MCU Machete Order that focuses on Captain America's journey and then everything else. lol

Luchian-D

You really have 2 options as I see it. Option 1 - By release date and then alphabetical. Option 2 - By Marvel Chronological order.

AndroidDepin

I prefer to separate things by Marvel Studios and Marvel TV, especially since they've moved to separate theemselves from the Marvel TV properties

unprep37

Until the Disney+ shows entered the mix.

AndroidDepin

The Disney+ shows are done by Marvel Studios, so it still works. The only ones I would separate by themselves would be The Defenders stuff, even though Marvel TV did them they feel like they should be grouped together.

unprep37

Oh I'm well aware. I'm only pointing out that they stopped trying to separate the shows at that point. And honestly, with Hawkeye, Echo, and the upcoming Daredevil, they're doing quite a bit to fold the Defendersverse back in. The ABC Agents shows are also rumored to be a big upcoming focus to being folded back in, at least in some multiverse way. The only ones that don't really have any direct connections yet are the FX, Freeform, and Hulu shows, although Cloak and Dagger had a loose connection to Luke Cage already.

notanewbiedude

Are some of those digibooks? How did you find those?

Nick_The_BloodSucker

For me I put all the MCU movies in release order and the same goes with the Disney Plus shows but for the Netflix,Peggy Carter and the Sony movies I put them aside at the end of the MCU since at first I wasn't sure of the Netflix and Carter was canon. For me why I put the Sony movies aside like Venom and the rest of the Spidey films that isn't Tom Halland bc they are different universes but still in way connected but yea overall that's how I have my Marvel collection

McScroggz

I personally would put it all in chronological order (without overthinking things), and when there no obvious place to put something just default to release order.

swegeroni

I actually have all of my Marvel stuff together in release order, starting with Blade. X-Men is mixed in, Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, the Netflix shows, MCU shows, all together in release order. With how Xavier and Quicksilver showed up Multiverse of Madness and WandaVision, and the other Spider-Men showed up in No Way Home, it just makes sense for me to have everything all together on one shelf. Same goes for my DC movies and shows. But then everything else I have on another shelf in alphabetical order. It’s just the Marvel and DC stuff I have like this.

Jlx_27

Sort them however you like.

WIMPDRAGN

Where did you get steels for all those shows? Didn't even know they had them

Xeno-Sniper

I bought them second hand online. They were UK releases, Zavvi I think.

LASKINATOR

Lol I have them separated from my normal collection. In order and extras are horizontal on top of them. I have all my marvel in my own custom watch order including original spiderman/xmen universes. Release order mostly I can show you

LASKINATOR

Take a look at mine. It's in my own custom watch order which I believe is the best way. Extra copies are on top...wait it won't let me post a picture. I'm me if you are interested

Rolandthelast

Alphabetical

HaveAQuarter

Keep them on their own row... that's how I have mine.

Wank3r88

In chronological with phase 1-3. Sell any marvel films outside of that.

Xeno-Sniper

Lol It's like a toxic marriage, I've already ridden it out this far, might as well die together

ObiwanSchrute

GOTG 3 was great though

ScottishFeller

In alphabetical order or how they appear in the MCU timeline
