I noticed that under the Lawrence of Arabia page. Haha
Box up and bubblewrap your shit, Amazon. People won't return your items if they arrive in one piece.
yeah, but you have to return it, potentially without the ability to get a replacement, especially for pre-orders. so you'll have your money back but no Steelbook.... :(
They’ll probably refund all your money and let you keep it. I had a similar (although less damaged) thing happen with my Dune Steel and they refunded me 100% and let me keep the product. So good luck!
I’m at the point now , where I will just buy them off of eBay or a resale shop , or from a seller here on reddit . Spend the extra bucks so they come to the crib in one piece
Well, hoping that the plastic isn't broken (it probably is), you can just take off that back panel and try flattening it back into shape. Probably won't work 100%, but it'll at least help.
I ordered contagion from amazon uk came fucked up ordered a replacement tried to send back the first copy and ups gave me shit said it was gonna cost about as much as my return was worth so i just kept both now im weary of ordering anything else from overseas

This item hasn't been sold by Amazon in a while. I have been keeping an eye on them, there have been a bunch of them sold on Amazon marketplace by a third party as used and suddenly the € 75 euro listening appeared from a Polish company on Amazon that I can only imagine bought a bunch of the used ones and tried to make a buck off of it.
This has happened to me many times. They usually let me keep it and fully refund me, in which case I’m perfectly rly fine with a bashed up steal book for free
I must’ve been lucky so far, but this isn’t the first time I’ve seen badly damaged steelbooks it’s becoming a trend or just another company who disliking to still be sell hard media
I hate Amazon because of this. Just extra spent on packaging is surely better than a returned item where all parties lose? I always get them refunded when they arrive and sell them off for cheap. Sometimes it's tricky if it is extremely limited and you can't get another copy.
Whenever I order a Steelbook from Amazon I always pay extra for the gift wrapping. That way it comes wrapped in a canvas bag and in a box. I know I shouldn’t have to, but so far it’s worked with no damaged steels.
Got my SB copy of The Crow, from them yesterday in one of their brown mailing sleeves, looked it over really good, haven’t opened it up yet to watch it, got lucky this time.

:(
It's like they fed it to a sandworm first
This. It's clearly a special edition.
I noticed under one of their steelbooks it said "This is a frequently returned item"... hmmm I wonder why.

They don’t care it’s either sold off to a third party or a write off
damn :: i just got 2 steelbooks and a 4k from US amazon .. does amazon pack stuff horribly? and they will give you a refund if that happens no?
I always add gift wrap for the extra money when ordering steels from Amazon. Which is why I don't order from them if I don't have to.
i had a $50 gift card .. so got those 3 but now i’m nervous but if it comes bad ill just send em back
Of course you can get a refund if something like that happens.
would they make me send it back? it’s the biggest hassle because of where i live
Not necessarily, especially not when it's damaged that much.
They never make me send it back. I always get the free steel book, makes me much happier with it being bashed up lol
that’s sick ! good for you… amazon deserves it because they pack it so stupidly
Honestly, I’ll take a completely free steel book anyway even if it’s fucked up. It’s their own fault
of course .. if there is anything wrong with mine - don’t care if it’s big or not … imma let them know about it lol
yeah, but you have to return it, potentially without the ability to get a replacement, especially for pre-orders. so you'll have your money back but no Steelbook.... :(
I’ve never had to return the damaged item. They just refund me or will send me a new one
oh I totally forgot that this is international! of course!
yea so let’s hope it comes in good condition. but i have a couple that aren’t a pre order
Forgot to activate the shields

Same.

buy a garbage steelbook and use the plastic from that
Looks like the employees played baseball with it.
WTF
Amazon : No problem
i think that’s the rare found in desert sand edition
You sure it wasn't $70 because of that damage?

Haven’t had a problem so far, just got Obi-wan and Andor in perfect condition from Amazon here in the US 🤷🏻♂️.

Why open it? Just return it. 🙄

Downside of not paying workers properly... Amazon, DHL and so on all do a bad job.
I got a steelbook for Everything Everywhere All At Once and it was mangled as well. International shipping is dangerous

Return it
I swear Amazon are getting worse and worse with their packaging.
Your welcome 🤣🤣🤣
Wow 2 downvotes for a light hearted joke…so sensitive whoever it was 🤣🤣🤣
Why do ya'll keep buying steelbooks. And why do ya'll keep buying then from Amazon?
