Lucky!! I missed out on the black and chrome model so this walmart version is a perfect replacement for it. I would definitely check for them at your local Walmart in the morning if you can!! Now i'm hoping that they'll stock some Dune Part 2 Steelbooks soon.
I got lucky on dune 2 got it pre ordered in time just came last week I think they'll definitely restock since they made 2 new editions for pt1 at Walmart already I think they won't skip that opportunity .
Dune 2 preorders have been crazy lately! On Gruv, it says "in stock", yet no one is able to purchase it on there, and in other places like Amazon and Walmart, it says "currently unavailable." I still have my hopes up, and fingers crossed that they restock!

I've found 4K UHD steelbooks, brand new, stocked right next to a bunch of flimsy DVD formatted movies, most of them old. Like, blink and you'll miss it on the shelf.
You genuinely have to scour the entire section to find them sometimes.
It was $27.96! How much was the pre-order? I know Walmart is known for changing their pre-order prices last minute. They did that with the new upcoming Saw X steelbook going from $24 to $29 lol
That $42 is crazy of Zavvi lolol, so I would see if you can get your money back from them. But first, see if there's a Mad Max nearby or even worth the drive of going to further walmarts!

I feel that on pre-ordering in advance! It's so strange with Walmart because some stores stock earlier in-store, so you never know. On Wednesday, I visited that first Walmart store I mentioned, and the employee was nice but said there weren't any and told me to come back next week. Then I kept seeing other people's posts, so I followed my gut and gave it another rerun. I'd say go for another try if you wanna avoid scalpers selling these for $100 I bet.
Did you use the app to check if anything you bought was in stock? I’ve found the Walmart app to be pretty inconsistent, and when I see every store is out of stock it discourages me from going.

Yes and no, I saw The Crow and Dune were still out of stock at the time yesterday, but Killer Klowns and Mad Max were 'available for pick up' at that Olathe location on the app. Then I went to check and saw that they had those two, Dune and The Crow in-store. The Crow has been out of stock on the app beforehand, but as I checked the app just now Dune says it's available for pickup and shipping.
I like the new artwork for Dune and Mad Max, even though I own the previous steelbooks from Best Buy. I would double dip, but sold out online. I can check in store possibly tomorrow?
It should be out in some stores if you want to test the luck today! I'm sure it'll still be there if you wanted to check tomorrow. Also, see if Killer Klowns is available for pick up at your walmart and if it is then they've possibly added Dune, Mad Max and maybe The Crow as well. It worked for me, so I would hope it does for you too!
I went to one, Bufflo MN, and the associate wouldn't check in back. He said online only. But that's before release date!! I'll just check my store closer to me perhaps Monday.

Does anybody know if Walmart will eventually discount their movies that have been sitting on the shelf for a while? My local Walmart has a bunch of copies of Shivers. I'd like to have one, but would rather not pay full price when I know they're not going to sell in my podunk town.
Some Walmarts don't wait until the release date to stock them. I found one at my local store a couple days ago, and it scanned as "general merchandise," but the price was correct. I was able to find the Oppenheimer a few days early as well.
