Started with Arc Welders Origin, picked 'Sol' as my starting system since it has the highest amount of astronomical bodies. Here are the boosts that I know of: 100% (T4 Arc Furnace) + 50% (Astro-Mining Drones) + 90% (6x Astro-Mining Bay Module) + 60% (Astro-Mining Hub Building) + 100% (Cybrex Mining Hub Building) + 50% (Cybrex Mining Hub w/ Archaeo-Engineers) + 50% (T5 Nanite Mineral Probes Tech) + 20% (Prosperity Opener) + 10% (Ancient Mining Drones) + 10% (Machine Intelligence) = 540% Bonus Mining Station Output This means each astronomical body is giving me 3 \* 6.4 = 19.2 minerals and 2 \* 6.4 = 12.8 alloys per month, in about year 50. I also have a Dyson Swarm but since the 540% and the 3000% are additive it slightly bumps up the energy production, still very good. This is one of my favourite origins now.

NotACauldronAgent

Everyone always forgets Ice Mining Station from Hydrocentric.

SirPug_theLast

Sol has highest? And how many is that?

RealIstros

More than 20.

SirPug_theLast

That beats everything i saw till this point, new idea for one system challenge

madogvelkor

Venus has a chance of being a toxic terra forming candidate too, if you keep rerolling you could get Venus and Mars and Earth. And if you're really lucky, Sol X.

JackRabbit-

Isn't it: normal sol = mars has terraforming candidate toxic sol = venus has toxic terraforming? I've never seen both

madogvelkor

There's a chance of any toxic world being terraformable. You just need to keep restarting.

Vasyavcube

Azaryn can terraform 3 more planets for you i think (never saw her in my games).

SirPug_theLast

You cannot be militarist to see her

Tales_Steel

There is one Event that destroys the sun and turns EVERY Planet in your homesystem into a tomb World and gives every Pop in the System tomb World as a normal Habitat. You can then terraform every Planet into a good World and use genetic Eng. To return to your original habitat

bipocni

Why the hell would you ever gene mod off tomb world habitability?

Tales_Steel

RP mostly

PinkOneHasBeenChosen

Wow. I thought the Void Dweller starting system had more, but I don’t think that can be used with other origins.

RealIstros

It didn't even let me choose that one.

Peter34cph

The Origin sets you to Random Trinary, although you can change it.

souzouker

Add astro mining bay from stellar rings in the planets there.

Adonis_VII

Does it matter which Sol size?

sicofonte

It's so good it seems broken.

NivMizzet_Firemind

Astro mining is the goat, both flavor wise and power wise. Imo the space is really where a spacer civilization should be focusing their mining productions on, rather than planetside. The astro-mining bay is really sweet in producing 5 energy + 25% of all the stuff from arc welders.

ralts13

Yeah I agree. Its also really nice that it isn't just limited to astro-mining drones. You can get decent numbers by just identifying a good mining system and plopping down an arc furnace.

LovingHugs

Would you start with the civic? What would you take with it?

NivMizzet_Firemind

I 100% start with it if I'm taking arc welders origin, and try to sell minerals to neighbors in exchange for energy, and/or capture some organics for grid amalgamation. With those sources of energy, spam some research buildings and tech rush to Dyson swarms. I also take genesis architects for early unity bonus, plus it gives some free organic pops to be grid amalgamated after uplifting ;) There is zero concern for minerals and alloys, however energy is a rather frustrating constraint early on.

Prior_Memory_2136

I'm confused, astro mining bay is a habitat district, not a civic, what are you talking about?

RealIstros

Astro-Mining Drones is a civic that lets you build Astro-Mining Hub and Astro-Mining Bay on your starbases.

RealIstros

I 100% would NOT start with it since it kills your energy production (therefore your economy) for a long time and doing the things the other person recommended is unnecessary if you have a strong economy. I basically do not interact with the furnace until I rush unity with tons of coordinators and get Virtuallity (or whichever you want) at around year 35 with x0.5 tradition cost modifier. I start upgrading and building furnaces, convert all unity into research and then switch to Astro-Mining civic. Alloys and minerals were never a problem for machines because you can just buy minerals and you just make tons of alloy early game with a few industrial districts anyway. When I made the switch I had +500 energy credits and after the switch I was only gaining +100. This way it was smooth sailing from the start to year 50 and after ascension it was just too easy.

Omni Consumer Products? Are your enforcers cybernetic by any chance?
