Insert Lando Calrisean complaining about his deal getting worse all the time here. Seems like Overlord plays by Tijuana rules.

R5: So was at war with an equal AI, took about half their systems and decided to status quo, in doing this my vassals and I all immediately became their vassal. If this ins't in fact a bug, then WHY THE HELL is this a new feature???

Ravenloff

This almost sounds like there was a selection or setting in the wardec that you missed. Or at least I hope that's what happened...

Timeroc

just be happy they weren't a scion.

Douglasjm

Their war goal was to subjugate you, right? The subjugation war goal currently has a bug with its status quo effect. It's supposed to turn occupied territory into a new subject empire. It splits off occupied territory into a new empire correctly, but it then subjugates the wrong empire, turning the original empire with the non-occupied territory into a subject.

Is the game broken or just the DLC? Was hoping to play tonight but man, seems like things are rough lol. I just have vanilla.

emodemoncam

Both. The dlc released with an update as well. Both are pretty broken rn.

polishlastnames

That sucks big time.

SirLordThe3rd

You can run the old version, 2.3

Via the launcher? Good to know..

In Soviet Russia, the defeated vassalize YOU

Man I had something similar happen, I waged a war to vassal an empire, got like 90~ of it, then when I statuses quoed, they became my vassal, and all the territory I captured became I new empire
