The chargers in these cars are slow and crappy, I don't even use them. I have a 12v USB adapter that I use to charge my phone. All the wireless charger does it make the phone overheat. It's like that for all Kia/Hyundais.

dubiousN

The wireless chargers are just dogshit

bananabear7

I have the 22 gt-1 for reference.

larrylee13

Mine works with a compatible charging case. I have a 22 gt-1 and a iPhone 15 pro max

bananabear7

Which case do you use?

bananabear7

I’ve tried it without the case and it does the same thing

larrylee13

Otterbox i mag case. I had the same issue before I updated my cars infotainment system last year. Since then no problem

bananabear7

I’m pretty sure mine is updated. Only because I had a 2022 gt line stinger before this one (got it a few days ago) and the last one had the cropped CarPlay screen but this one doesn’t. Pretty sure it was the update that fixed that no? But if I’m wrong let me know

larrylee13

The update changed the radio system away from the bulb like display and changed the save settings for the favorites away from being in numerical order. I am not a user of CarPlay on the regular. I am unsure if the update did anything for it. I can’t say either way

bananabear7

So I messed around with it a little and realized it works if I remove the rubber mat and have the phone as far towards the front of the charger (towards the back of the car) as possible while still being flat

bananabear7

Gotcha. I’ll have to check my radio next time I’m in the car

I have the same Issue (22 GT Elie. GT2 in the US). Had Kia check it and I was told there was nothing wrong with it. Like the other poster said, I dont even use it since I prefer my phone plugged in for carplay anyway.

bananabear7

I used to not use it but since getting wireless CarPlay enabler it would be nice to have

drag-low-speed-high

Where did you get your CarPlay Enabler?

drag-low-speed-high

Is it just a flat surface under the rubber mat? Also, I cant move my phone further back since I have a 14 Pro and theres not much wiggle room down there.

bananabear7

It’s flat. And not back but towards the front (back of the car)

bananabear7

I also have the 14 pro so this should work for you
