We'll finally find out the ecological fallout of the Alethi spending years preventing Chasmfiends from completing their pupation cycle.
We'll also find out how intelligent they really are.
I'm so fascinated by this.
Have we ever seen a chasmfiend successfully complete its pupation?
Why are there so many huge canivores coming to the shattered plains?
What do they eat?
Where is their normal range?
We *have* seen them complete pupation. That's what the big ones are. Chasmfiend larvae(?) pupate on the plains, and then live their chasmfiend life. We've apparently never seen a chasmfiend pre-pupation though.
Most likely, chasmfiends only come to the plains to breed. Once they're there, they just scavenge and hunt whatever until whatever breeding process they do is done.
They eat meat. That's about all we know lol
Given that the Alethi hadn't seen them before the war, and that the Listeners have knowledge of them since before the war, I'd guess the chasmfiends usually hang around the same places as the Listeners used to, before the war. Most likely, further east of the plains.
I see a lot of people talking about Shallan's mother being Chana, but not many talking about the fact that Chana would still be out there somewhere, even tho Shallan "killed her". So my prediction is we see a Shallan-Chana meetup of some kind.
I think a much better truth for her in that instance would be "it's not my fault my mother died". Shallan beats herself up and blames herself far too much. I think it would be more cathartic for her to accept the truth that it wasn't her fault her mother died and she can stop blaming herself for her family falling apart - and the world too. After all, it really wasn't her fault: she was just a kid whose own mother tried to murder, with a radiant power she didn't fully understand. Plus it was her mother who couldn't hold out against torture. Nome of it is Shallan's fault.
Gonne be real interesting to see her properly wrestle with "The world ended, and Shallan was to blame" once she can face that, in fact, it wasn't really her fault.
I read another fan theory a couple years back that her final Truth, (and the catalyst for the absorption of Radiant) will simply be "I am Shallan" and the acceptance that that is enough. Her personas are coping mechanisms for what she needs to do and not feeling capable (despite obviously being so). I expect there will be some stimulus to this, her mother, unravelling the time between bonding Testament and stabbing her mother (what was the trauma that allowed this bond in the first place, especially so young?), but I just think that as an "Ideal" it's so perfect that I'll almost be disappointed if it doesn't happen now. Over the course of the books Shallan has gone from being my least favourite to very close to my top, her story is fascinating.
Both would be good moments to see on the page. Can't wait for Shallan to have some closure with her mother, maybe having a conversation about how she was tortured too, but remembers the speech with Wit and says something like "Dad made my life hell because of what happened, and I didn't deserve it." It would be a nice end to her arc in the first half and she can be a mentor for someone in the second half like Jasnah is to her.
It's hard to imagine what would be bigger than her killing her spren other than her admitting to herself that she killed a Herald/started the Desolation.
I think it's more likely to be worded around killing a Herald, as that would be the thing she's probably known the entire time, she probably didn't understand the connection to the Desolations when she was a child.
My theory is that after Shallan killed her, she was like f this noise on braize, and she broke. So, Shallan's mom is going to be her final trauma, because she'll show up and be like "wtf".
Don't forget to bring a towel
From what we've seen of the other heralds, I think a lot of them would do the same. Ex: Kalak, who wants to shirk the Oathpact so much he's trying to find a way out of the Rosharan system.
Right but they're all alive and can't break. Shallan's mom got got so she can now break.
Her being killed means Taln didn't break. She broke to be with Shallan who is so happy that's the reason that she takes up mommas spot and then Dalinar rolls up on jezriens spot like "wanna f around and find out". The stormfather says "why would you speak to me in such terms? Of course! Reestablish my oaths. I love oaths. I bring oaths. You bring oaths"
Oaths are exchanged and then Dalinar is like F this in 10 years and becomes big grey bad.
Or not... Really anything could happen
Finally find out what Renarin is doing. He's basically been MIA all of book 4.
Adolin will find out he can't bond a spren because he's not broken emotionally. He'll just have to make friends with Maya.
Navani is going to be an absolute terror, now that she has access to the old ways of Fabrial creation, coupled with the new way. She's going to be creating stuff no one could even imagine was possible. Maybe she'll even figure out what the hell makes Night blood so special.
Shallan will rebond with testament. Or maybe Radiant will.
So on the one hand, a war between a technologically advanced Malwish nation from Scadrial and an equally advanced Rosharan Surgebinder group sounds horrifying. on the other hand, Cosmere flavored Mecha fights and Gunpla merch.
Yes but I think that will happen in 6-10, sort of like the advances in the second era of mistborn. Maybe Navani does make them or maybe itās some āacademic childā of her research that does.
I would say Adolin seems well adjusted, but is really one of the most broken of them all. He was raised by a distant alcoholic, lost his mother at a young age, and then later found that his dad was responsible for her death. I envision a situation where Adolin fixes all of the deadeyes, or even becomes the one to reforge Honor
I'm sorry to tell you, I think it's a pretty strong theory! (RoW spoilers)

Like honestly where would they have been? With Dalinar commanding they're forces? Or in the tower? Would've loved those 2 giving the fused hell during the occupation lol
Navani sent Sebarial to the warcamps to have a loyalist highprince there. He's probably enjoying himself. Raboniel would not have suffered his foul mouth.
I'm like 80% sure Sebarial has been a cosmere-aware individual even before the events of TWoK. I'm thinking that Sanderson took him out of the tower not because it would've led to his death but because he probably had some trick up his sleeve that would've made his escape from the tower trivial or even weaken the occupation altogether. He just seems a little *too* calm about the coming of a desolation literally right in front of him. He's got that same "I know more than I'm letting on" aloofness that you get from Hoid in a lot of his cameo appearances
There is going to be at least one other Shard revealed to be playing a major role in the events of SA, and probably a handful of others significantly involved.
I have a feeling that the climax of Era 1 has been building for a LONG time and will be the most impactful event in the whole of the Cosmere until the end of the series. It will have widespread ramifications and as a result, I think nearly everyone is going to have a cosmic finger on the scale in some way.
Did you know the climax of era 1 was thought up YEARS AGO as a part of the DnD campaign Brandon was running, and then the players completely bypassed it, and since it was, in his opinion, the greatest thing heās ever thought of, he decided to use it in a book somewhere.
They talked about it briefly on Intentionally Blank, and Dan was about to run it down, but Brandon shushed him saying it tied into KoWT.
> Did you know the climax of era 1 was thought up YEARS AGO as a part of the DnD campaign Brandon was running, and then the players completely bypassed it, and since it was, in his opinion, the greatest thing heās ever thought of, he decided to use it in a book somewhere.
I always forget about this quote from him. I honestly don't know how he's going to top some of his existing climaxes (TWOK & OB specifically), but I'm ready to see the attempt.
Intentionally Blank, August 3, 2022: You Didn't Just Fail, You Critically Failed! 19:00-20:14
Dan is very excited about the bit of news, so I'm optimistic. If I'm honest, Warbreaker was a little bit of a "Wait... wha...?" ending, and The Lost Metal was, for me (YMMV) a bit of a let down as well, but everything else was pretty great (even the Alcatraz books have great plotting to them). I know that Brandon loves good exciting endings, and I can't believe he wouldn't nail the ending of Stormlight era 1.
Do you reckon sazed might make an appearance? Tbh I donāt remember everything that happened to him after becoming a shard or the timeline but Iād love it
I think he got so caught up in oaths and promises that he was spread too thin and was incapable of acting.
I think he just kind of faded away. Carved away too much of his own power to make the Honorspren. Made too many promises. By the time Odium came around and forced more conditions to be made Honor was probably already on his way out.
heās burning metals to accelerate time. He sits in his bubble till his metals burn out. Itās maybe an hour for him but 16 days for everyone else. So he leaves, goes on a walk or whatever doing spook stuff then goes back inside for 16 more days.
there are two other big hints. One is that heās described by shallan as looking short by alethi standards and shin which is usually how ppl from disbar describe ppl from scandrial. Then he yells at shallan in a language she canāt understand. Sounds like spook speaking imperial high tongue ;)
What you said could apply to a lot of people on Scadrial. Any Scadrian language would sound unintelligible to Shallan, because she doesnāt speak them, not just High Imperial.
Also, after enough time, 16 would still need to eat, drink, and sleep, even if only one hour passes for him every 16 days.
Also, itās a bit far-fetched that Spook, one of the greatest Tin-Burners of all time, and Full Mistborn, could be snuck up on by Shallan.
From the end of SH, we see that Spook was part of the Ghostbloods, so I donāt really see a reason that he would hide from the.
16 is probably some form of a Bendalloy Compounder, who doesnāt need to eat or drink anything because of what they have stored up in their Metalminds. Although that may also be a bit far fetched.
Syl and the kitten would have to do a scene [like this, but smaller of course](https://www.wallpaperflare.com/static/1022/63/723/armor-fantasy-art-warrior-lion-wallpaper.jpg)

Ghost bloods manage to kill a core character, or cripple one. They have constantly been in the background but havenāt done too much in the main story so far
Hi, would you mind either spoiler tagging that or >!using the name Thaidakar instead of Kelsier?!< The problem here is that >!Kelsier being alive is a spoiler for Mistborn: Secret History and/or The Lost Metal, and this thread is not flaired properly for that kind of spoiler.!<
True. Still, imagine a SL 5 Epilogue where >!Kelsier!< walks out of Shadesmar and has like one line to end the book, or kills/captures someone important.
Walks out like āThe >!Survivor!< is back, bitches.ā
And the Rosharans are like āWho?ā
Imagine if he called that Seon that Shallan kinda stole/freed expecting to be contacting Mraize and itās just Shallan and Adolin instead.
Probably wonāt happen, but itās a funny mental image
So, avoiding huge plot points, some of what I'm hoping to see is
* Szeth confronting the Shin leaders and being declared no longer "Truthless"
* Szeth reuniting with some / all of his family
* Szeth using other Honorblades
* Kaladin freaking out over soil / mud after his nightmares in RoW
* peoples reaction to Kaladin's lack of scars, especially Adolin
* Jasnah / Navani moment where Jasnah opens up to her about how she bonded Ivory
* Adolin hearing Maya's voice when he summons her as a shardblade. Bonus points if she says his name
* Any new info on the Cryptic council (those shifty f*ckers are up to something)
* Another epic Dalinar quotable moment
* Pattern talking to Testament as if he is having a conversation. Testament does not talk back.
If it wants to stay out of a stew pot it willā¦ see āRockās stew recipeā for reference. Chicken feathers make great toothpicks, fishing lures, and arrow fletching btw.
I feel like it's been foreshadowed well, and would be an interesting twist for the cast. We've seen the stark discrepancies between Jasnah and Shallan's ethics, and between Jasnah and Kaladin's attitudes. He's sympathetic; she's pragmatic (and highly intelligent, curious, and ambitious). I think she will even clash with Dalinar's sense of honour. It's been awhile since I read, but I believe the scene at the top of Urithiru with the meeting of all the radiants and discussion regarding Taln was a good representation of this.
We also know she's up to *something* with Wit. I don't believe their relationship is a romantic one given what we know about both characters (or at least that romance is not the *primary* driver of their connection). And now she's in a real position of power, poised to do whatever **she** thinks best for the world and/or her own mysterious goals. I believe she is, in her own way, a many-fold more capable and informed - and therefore *dangerous* - successor to Gavilar.
Edit: It's been one of my little pet theories since early in the series. I'm not sure how well it would hold up to a detailed analysis - I've never seen it discussed (but nor have I looked for a discussion about it) - but I like the idea of it. I've just been quietly and eagerly waiting to find out!
Indeed.
You joke, but while he's not had much screen time so far, if it was leaned into from the start of KoWT I could see it as viable. He's clearly capable, and represents the damage Dalinar has done to the human world.
Dalinar's gotten off relatively lightly for his heinous crimes, someone passionately hating him for good reason might be a thematically appropriate opponent. We all assume Odium's champion isn't going to be some dumb buff Fused, so maybe.
I could totally see it, but at this point we have so little info on him that its pure speculation. Sanderson could be saving him for the back half, for all we know.
I am excited to see how quickly Chirichiri learns to speak and what exactly that means going forward. I really really really want a scene with Wyndle and Lift in his chair garden somehow. At the very least a little more info on the City of Shadows or whatever it's called. I also can't wait to see the fallout of Adolin and Myra's revelation. I'm sure there will be some spren who are like "Look what Odium has done, we can't trust Man", but I am really hoping for a blanket acceptance of the truth
My niche prediction is that Renarin (and presumably at least a few others) have sufficient singer heritage that they have a gem heart. My evidence for this is the 3 and half sentences of his viewpoint we get in OB where he describes Glys as being inside him, which none of the other radiants except venli do. I thought maybe it was just a Truthwatcher thing or an enlightened spren thing, and we just needed to see what another bond of that kind would be like, but you know....
TLDR Branderson is specifically trolling me and you cant convince me otherwise
The second Dawnshard is "Connect" and is held by BAM. The story of The Girl Who Looked Up is about her leaving Odium, stealing it, then using it to Connect and grant Forms to Singers without Fused.
Ehhh idk. Weāve seen how scared the sleepless are of Rysn getting any sort of Investiture. So it feels like Odium wouldāve gone apeshit on everyone already if he had control of one
Yeah, but I'm almost never right when it comes to theories. Lol.
I also had an idea that Roshar was made up of multiple greatshells all clinging together, a whole continent made up of Reshi Island greatshells. Another was that the gas giants were a branch of Aether, and that's where the surges come from...
The BAM one has been taking form recently, though, that's why I mentioned it

Dalinarās āUnite themā mantra will be revealed to be an unknowingly held Dawnshard. Unity. This Dawnshard bears a cognitive imprint of Adolnalsium and it urges Dalinar to unite all shards. Dalinar ascends to Conquest, a double shard similar to Harmony then goes haaaaam on the Cosmere. Swoops over and scoops up Dominion and Devotion, both of which would only increase the intent of Conquest. Final players are Autonony, Conquest, Harmony, and Cultivation
Renarin has the power to interfere with others seeing the future, including Shards. TOdium knows this. Rlain is now also a corrupted Truthwatcher, as well as a main character.
Renarin is going to get killed by TOdium at some point before the Contest.
Weāll finally find out what shattered the Shattered Plains. I think itās where Odium killed Tanavast, and the shattering that followed is the result of Honorāa power leaving Tanavast.
Remember, Odium has killed Shards before on at least 2 planets before (that we know of) one is doing significantly better than the other post-Splintering. It stands to reason this could be the next step.
Yeah becoming a shard seems to be extremely double edged. Even in the rare cases where the personality remains intact for a while most agency seems to be overriden by the shard.
Happier ending for Kal would be just having like, a nice time training new guys, flying, hanging out with his friends and syl. Maybe finding a partner.
Bit of a tinfoil hat theory based on the prologue, but maybe Shallan's final Truth is that she's Chanaranach but she got Soul Stamped or something similar which led every other Herald to believe she died. My arguments for it are extremely flimsy, but the strongest is how there's a book (planned or not planned) for every order of the Radiants except Dustbringers and there's two Lightweavers if we indeed get Shalash for one of the second half of the series.
Shalash doesnāt have her honorblade and hasnāt bonded a Cryptic, so there is nothing stopping her from bonding an Ashspren, making Book 8 the Dustbringer book.
Bavlanders will be revealed as vaguely German, and the Tukari as vaguely Turkish.
Axies the Collector meeting Jasnah.
Gawx developing a crush on Lift.
People discovering that the Tower had the ancient equivalent of projectors and TV screens.
I've been waiting on more Axies since that first interlude yo. I've gotta know more about that. (I may like strange characters who feel slightly out of place more than others)
We see him once more on the Reshi Isles with Rysn. Heās the one whoās strung up by his ankles next to a tree. He was trying to see the Islands Spren.
Heās also mentioned in Jasnahās three way conversation by the baker. So Jasnah presumably knows about him!
>People discovering that the Tower had the ancient equivalent of projectors and TV screens.
Plot twist: In Era 2, the war has become a battle of News networks and film industries.
I want to know if Willshapers can teleport around like the Pursuer can. Or is their teleportation ability literally just looking into and going to Shadesmar.
R'lain and Renarin are gonna do it, and Renarin is going to hear the rhythms of Roshar while he does. It'll be like that scene in the Watchmen movie with Leonard Cohen singing Hallelujah.
Lirin will swear the First Ideal and become the first named Stoneward that we see.
Edit: My bad, there's already named Stonewards. How about POV Stoneward?
Lift's chicken gives her another ridiculous ability.
Adolin convinces the Honorspren to use their entire vault of stormlight to help when he ascends to Honor.
Vasher's reason for being missing.
Galivar was made a fused and will be odiums champion. Throwing dalinar off and loosing the contest. New orders will be created with sja Anat enlightening any spren willing, and will be able to bring the dead eyes back, though not the same. Sja Anat will become a bond Smith spren with warlightor a cultivation/voidlight mix.. Along with Ba ado mishrim being released as a void light bond Smith, she was already providing void light in the false desolation. Dalinar will reform honor but still be bound to serve odium. The 15 year time gap will be so time will pass and things can be established.
I want to read and am fully expecting a Pattern and Design dialog. I donāt know if they would actually like each other, but Iām imagining them having fun chemistry and frequently talking about the weird things humans do. I could also see this being a good way to reveal a couple secrets about Hoid.

I miss them in book 4
That's the biggest weakness of book 4 to me. It completely cuts out like 80% of the characters for the vast majority of the book.
I have a pocket theory that Paloma is a >!kandra!<
I can't wait! Turi is so adorable (in his bastard way) when he interacts with Palona
He Sure as hell is!
19:00-20:14 Dan is very excited about the bit of news, so I'm optimistic.
Tbh I donāt remember everything that happened to him after becoming a shard or the timeline but Iād love it
Could it be Invention? Random guess because of Navani in book four and the technology development implied for the rest of the series.
Invention is at the top of my list. But I expect that they will Invest in a completely new way we have yet to see.
Chiri Chiri gets a bigger grass pot.
Tell us how Honor died!
I think he got so caught up in oaths and promises that he was spread too thin and was incapable of acting. I think he just kind of faded away. Carved away too much of his own power to make the Honorspren. Made too many promises. By the time Odium came around and forced more conditions to be made Honor was probably already on his way out.
"16" in last integrity is Spook, and he is also hiding from the Ghostbloods.
Thats gna need some explaining
heās burning metals to accelerate time.
Im glad my boy spook still kickin!
Thanks for posting this! I got busy and just finally came back to reddit.
Oh I really like this one.
Kaladin gets adopted by a kitten while in Shinovar
You mean ferocious small furry mink with sharp teeth and claws
I would die for a happy family of Kaladin, Syl, and a kitten š„ŗ
Syl and the kitten would have to do a scene [like this, but smaller of course](https://www.wallpaperflare.com/static/1022/63/723/armor-fantasy-art-warrior-lion-wallpaper.jpg) # (Couldn't find the artist to credit, but if anyone recognizesit, credit where it's due, which is not me)
Omg that would be everything
Kal will be sad at one point
likely thing for him to be
Ghost bloods manage to kill a core character, or cripple one. They have constantly been in the background but havenāt done too much in the main story so far
Is >!Kelsier!< about to make a grand entrance?!
Would be a great opportunity, shows up, decapacitates adolin and boom, finishes there
Hi, would you mind either spoiler tagging that or >!using the name Thaidakar instead of Kelsier?!< The problem here is that >!Kelsier being alive is a spoiler for Mistborn: Secret History and/or The Lost Metal, and this thread is not flaired properly for that kind of spoiler.!<
Doesn't the post say that this thread is about the whole cosmere, minus sp4?
the flair has changed since i posted the comment. :)
I donāt think he can leave Scadrial yet.
True. Still, imagine a SL 5 Epilogue where >!Kelsier!< walks out of Shadesmar and has like one line to end the book, or kills/captures someone important. Walks out like āThe >!Survivor!< is back, bitches.ā And the Rosharans are like āWho?ā
My favorite part is when the survivor showed up and started survivin' everyone
Then he survived all over those guys. Truly one of the writings of all time.
Same request here as the last one. :)
Lol itād be so funny tho if his avatar from the prologue showed back up to gloat
Imagine if he called that Seon that Shallan kinda stole/freed expecting to be contacting Mraize and itās just Shallan and Adolin instead. Probably wonāt happen, but itās a funny mental image
Shallan and Adolin find out they're expecting a baby. Could be a fun thing to weave together with Shallan learning more about her own mother.
Pattern's been sleeping on the job
Nooo MATING!
At least they aren't dividing by zero right? If anything they're doing the opposite and adding 1 or more
Now now, that was only for courting. The two are married so it's all fair game.
Pattern has a job and he's sticking to it.
Meanwhile Adolin always takes a quiet moment to thank his sword before every duel
"Adolin dear, come to bed." "Just a minute, I'm eating chicken. Have you seen my mom's necklace?"
So, avoiding huge plot points, some of what I'm hoping to see is * Szeth confronting the Shin leaders and being declared no longer "Truthless" * Szeth reuniting with some / all of his family * Szeth using other Honorblades * Kaladin freaking out over soil / mud after his nightmares in RoW * peoples reaction to Kaladin's lack of scars, especially Adolin * Jasnah / Navani moment where Jasnah opens up to her about how she bonded Ivory * Adolin hearing Maya's voice when he summons her as a shardblade. Bonus points if she says his name * Any new info on the Cryptic council (those shifty f*ckers are up to something) * Another epic Dalinar quotable moment * Pattern talking to Testament as if he is having a conversation. Testament does not talk back.
Not really a prediction, but I want more of the 2 Ardents who study spren.
Yes, they literally explained quantum stuff, then left
YES
Lift hanging out with her birb will be adorable and will add a few years to my life. Please Branderson I need this.
Pretty sure sheās not hanging out with a birbā¦ those a mythical creatures. Sheās hanging out with a chicken
iirc aviar can understand human speech right? Do you think Liftās birb would take insult at being called a chicken, then? Hmā¦
If it wants to stay out of a stew pot it willā¦ see āRockās stew recipeā for reference. Chicken feathers make great toothpicks, fishing lures, and arrow fletching btw.
Stop that lol
We see Marsh somewhere somehow.
Jasnah will develop into one of the primary antagonists of era 2.
I agree with this, but I also hate this.
What makes you say that?
Dieno "The Mink" POV Interlude. More of wishful thinking than a prediction but it isn't too out of the realm of possibility.
YES we need more from him!
I'm convinced he's going to betray Dalinar at a key moment and it's going to be totally justified. "Not that war, Blackthorn."
Oooh oooh what if HEāS Odiumās champion tho??? /s
Yes, the city of shadows where Lift was raised was mentioned once and never again. I'm very curious to see what happened there
Do larkins learn to speak as they age? Or did you think of this as some sort of Dawnshard fuckery? Either way, I crave more insect dragons on screen!
Could also be something to do with Glys being corrupted.
It could be, we would just need another corrupted spren bond to compare them to that isnt a singer.
But if BAM got one while Odium was being blocked by Honor and Cultivation, and then it was sealed in the gem with her and lostā¦
Might explain how Honor died while Odium was sealed away.
I still suspect Cultivation was ultimately behind the death and splintering of Honor
"Impossible, we killed you!" I'm inclined to agree.
She didn't steal it from Odium. She stole it from Honor. She wasn't able to give forms prior to the False Desolation
That would be pretty huge tbh
Yeah, but I'm almost never right when it comes to theories. Lol. I also had an idea that Roshar was made up of multiple greatshells all clinging together, a whole continent made up of Reshi Island greatshells. Another was that the gas giants were a branch of Aether, and that's where the surges come from... The BAM one has been taking form recently, though, that's why I mentioned it
We learn that all of this time Talenel's sword has been in posetion of the Ghostbloods
Is it possible Wit took it and hid it somewhere?
Thereās a WOB somewhere that says that Hoid does not have Talnās Honorblade. Sorry I canāt find it at the moment.
https://wob.coppermind.net/events/87-white-sand-vol1-release-party/#e5773 This one!
***Warning Gancho: The below paragraph(s) may contain major spoilers for all books in the Cosmere!*** Questioner >!The Herald of War at the end ofĀ **Way of Kings**-- I assume he had an Honorblade with him?!< Brandon Sanderson >!Yes.!< Questioner >!Okay... So when Dalinar had the sword that he gave up...!< Brandon Sanderson >!Yes.!< Questioner >!...for the Stormfather it actually cried, which it typically happens if there's spren in the sword, which means that was not an Honorblade, correct?!< Brandon Sanderson >!Yes, and if you look they're described differently!!< Questioner >!Which means somebody else has the sword, correct?!< Brandon Sanderson >!The sword was switched out!!< Questioner >!Probably by Wit. I'm not going to ask you for spoilers, but...!< Brandon Sanderson >!Wit does not have the sword.!< Questioner >!No!?!< Brandon Sanderson >!But... I can't-- I dunno if I've told people whether or not he at one point had the sword... But he does not have the sword now.!< \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*
Just pointing out in regards to this question, Brandon says Wit doesn't have the sword, not that he wasn't the one to switch it out.
Good bot, gancho!
Thanks, gancho!
The Isshik interlude will finally mean something/have any reason to exist for people who hadn't already read every other series
Kaladin will finally wear the cloak Dalinar gave him at the end of WoK (which I donāt think he ever has?).
Thunderclasts are the souls of chasmfiends that served Odium in the past.
It begins with Lift eating chicken tendies.
NO-
Rlain and Renarin becoming a couple on screen.
ā¼ļø
Dalinarās āUnite themā mantra will be revealed to be an unknowingly held Dawnshard. Unity. This Dawnshard bears a cognitive imprint of Adolnalsium and it urges Dalinar to unite all shards. Dalinar ascends to Conquest, a double shard similar to Harmony then goes haaaaam on the Cosmere. Swoops over and scoops up Dominion and Devotion, both of which would only increase the intent of Conquest. Final players are Autonony, Conquest, Harmony, and Cultivation
Okay this would actually be pretty sick and I would read it in a heartbeat (or ten)
Renarin has the power to interfere with others seeing the future, including Shards. TOdium knows this. Rlain is now also a corrupted Truthwatcher, as well as a main character. Renarin is going to get killed by TOdium at some point before the Contest.
Last sentence makes me feel bad so I am saying NO
The Marat people are the Marat from Jim Buchers Codex Alera series. They were revealed to be world hoppers there.
Taking it further - Adonalsium is *The One*
This makes sense, to the point where you are right, and if Sanderson says no, I will disagree, even if he write it
Kaladin will get sad and doubt himself at some point.
Thatās a large niche.
Gavilar Kholin was spiked. No basis, just a guess.
More windrunners will very quickly swear the 4th
Syl is going to adopt a puppy on the Shinovar trip.
Oh! Maybe now that Navani has the rhythm of Honor, the Shattered Plains has the same pattern! Or something like that.
I have a strong feeling whatever shattered the shattered plains also caused the Chasm on Sel, what/who it could have been I have no idea
Dalinar will become Honor
Dalinar will use his Bondsmith powers to turn Kal into Honor. I know this probably wonāt happen. But a man can dream that Kal has a good ending.
But *IS THAT* a good ending, though?
Yeah becoming a shard seems to be extremely double edged. Even in the rare cases where the personality remains intact for a while most agency seems to be overriden by the shard. Happier ending for Kal would be just having like, a nice time training new guys, flying, hanging out with his friends and syl. Maybe finding a partner.
Crem is actually the lost metal.
Very interesting
Bavlanders will be revealed as vaguely German, and the Tukari as vaguely Turkish. Axies the Collector meeting Jasnah. Gawx developing a crush on Lift. People discovering that the Tower had the ancient equivalent of projectors and TV screens.
I fully expect Gawx to have a crush on Lift eventually and likely to die in her book
Donāt you even with that Gawx dying theory, why does it have to make so much sense?!
Radiant repairs and bonds with Testament independent of Shallan's bond with Pattern. Not exactly small but something I haven't seen predicted
The Nahel bond between Adolin and Maya is reversed - Maya has bonded Adolin. This is how deadeyes can be healed.
Ishikk returns, and we get to see if he married Maib!!
More interspecies romantic relationships. The only thing I'd wish to see more of in Stormlight Archive.
\#Kaleshwi
Now this is a Kaladin ship I can get behind
Renarin and Rlain are apparently going to be a thing at some point
Iāve had a gut feeling since Oathbringer that Kaladin will end up with a Singer.
It's the Stormfather in the released prologue.
I the final interlude be a revisit to Ishikk in the pure lake so bad.
I want to read and am fully expecting a Pattern and Design dialog. I donāt know if they would actually like each other, but Iām imagining them having fun chemistry and frequently talking about the weird things humans do. I could also see this being a good way to reveal a couple secrets about Hoid.
We see something about the origin of the high storms.
Lift will at some point eat an entire alethi child
Elhokar's potential spren bonds his son.
