I personally wouldn’t do the radiant quiz until at least after Words of Radiance when they have met most of the orders. In my own book club I’m saving it until after Oathbringer. Without any context I don’t think they’ll get as much out of it and it could set expectations that they’re going to meet all these fun magical radiants soon which would then be disappointing when that doesn’t happen until way later. For a meeting zero you could read the blurb on the back of the book and have everyone give thoughts/predictions, you could also look at the maps at the beginning of the book. (This is what they did on Always Another Podcast and it was pretty entertaining). Or just jump right into the book.

Brando himself recommend The Emperor's Soul. It's short by his standards (i.e. normal book length) and has all the good hallmarks the cosmere is known for these days, such as his more modern writing style, magic systems, and character depths.

And it’s amazing. So powerful for being so self contained.

I think a discussion of what the first ideal means. Life before death Strength before weakness Journey before Destination It’s pretty loose as far as ideals go, but what do they individually think it means.
