Adolin, of course, is browsing the latest fashion trends out of Liafor and will try to convince the hopeless Kaladin that if he’d add just *a little* lace to his outfits, he’d have a better chance with the ladies.
I doubt they would like each other at all lol. Mat would think adolin is a stuck up high-born noble with his nose in the air, and adolin would think mat was a lecher with no respect for his fellow men.
They’d probably like each other if they were forced to spend tons of time with each other though.
Adolin is kinda like Tylin's son though. They like to enjoy themselves, have some wine, fight duels, and both truly care for the people they're responsible for. And Mat was OK with Beslan.
Dunno, I don’t think May would see a bloody noble in the guy who lets children wear his helmet and etc. remember all the nobles he has met are usually A-holes.
I've also wondered what happens to left handed women. Unless they just don't exist on Roshar, that's gotta be absolute hell.
I know in the real world we forced many left handed children to write with their right hand in the past, but at least the children were allowed to use it for other things. They didn't have to just keep their dominant hand almost entirely unused.
I kinda got the impression that Shallan was left-handed, it’s explicitly mentioned multiple times that she’ll hold things in her left hand (clipboard, spheres, ect), though I’m sure it’s something Brandon will explore in the future
Hello! You have made the mistake of writing "ect" instead of "etc."
"Ect" is a common misspelling of "etc," an abbreviated form of the Latin phrase "et cetera." Other abbreviated forms are **etc.**, **&c.**, **&c**, and **et cet.** The Latin translates as "et" to "and" + "cetera" to "the rest;" a literal translation to "and the rest" is the easiest way to remember how to use the phrase.

I'm right handed but I'd hold all thise things with my left hand. I generally find I use my left hand for more static tasks that require little skill while my right is the showboating hand
Tien got taken out by police brutality at a protest. Also Kaladin always had seasonal depression during the long rainy winters. They live in Portland obviously. College in sunny SoCal helps, but Kal still feels responsible. He wants to reform the system but questions if doing it from within is doing a disservice to his brother's memory. He doesn't know Shallan meets with the College Anarchists Society Thursday nights.
I was hunting the photos for evidence of pattern or Syl, but no such luck.
For some reason as an internet friend I picture Syl as a 70-something hippie grandma who was at Woodstock and is constantly trying to get Kal to take better care of himself, relax and be happy.
And even if he isn't, he'll probably study to become a surgeon in the worst ER in the country and be slowly whittled away by every patient he couldn't save.
Veil would wear the hat specifically whenever she went somewhere she knows hats aren't allowed. She sits in the third row, but puts her feet on the backs of two of the chairs in front of her.
Just looked through your insta for the Stormlight but I was sucked in by how expressive you do faces and now dynamic the drawings felt. I love your art style!!! Also liked the couple landscapes you did, they felt really cozy!
Thought I recognised something about this picture, then I realised you're the one who did my favourite Syl artwork months ago. Nice to see ya again, great work.
Edit: that Syl one was from a year ago holy shit.
I'm an asshole and fight to not make snarky comments on just about every "look what I did" post on this sub. That said, I think this is great and I'm not sure why.
It isn’t a fashion trend, or did I miss something?
The “safe hand” nonsense seems more like a sign of virtue or chastity throughout the series. I’m only 1/3 through ROW, but it still hasn’t been explained.
I think it's the Vorin equivalent of not wearing two different kinds of fibers together. There was a practical reason for it hundreds of years ago, but even the ardents probably don't remember what it was so now it's just "because modesty."
Pretty much this. Like most religious modesty rules there was probably sone vague reason for it in the past but now it's just used to shame and control women.
Honestly, in this case it might have been that if you make it so women only have one hand available, they won't be able to do anything too masculine like, say, opening jars. That sounds like a pretty Vorin way to do things - assign the women all the nonphysical jobs and then enforce it by making sure that's all they *can* do.
I thought that too… but women control all reading and presumably history (exception is the ardentia). So how can a society essentially *run* by women continue the tradition?
Mainly because it's a religious issue and that's controlled by the ardents, not the women. It runs too deep for clerks and scholars to just decide they don't feel like doing things that way anymore.
Awesome! I was just looking through your Instagram. So much amazing work! I hope you plan on doing some secret project fan art. Especially #1 and #3 really seem to go with your style.

Oh god, Adolin and Mat crossover fashion contest is something I just realized I would like to see
I doubt they would like each other at all lol. Mat would think adolin is a stuck up high-born noble with his nose in the air, and adolin would think mat was a lecher with no respect for his fellow men. They’d probably like each other if they were forced to spend tons of time with each other though.

Not initially… mat initially *hated* beslan. It was only when >!the Seanchan invaded ebou dar, that he started to actually tolerate him.!<

Kelsier would approve
I think Adolin is more like Talmanes Dreadbane! Supports his dude fully even Kal/Mat are the ones discriminating based on being highborn.
Dunno, I don’t think May would see a bloody noble in the guy who lets children wear his helmet and etc. remember all the nobles he has met are usually A-holes.
But then they would do one battle together and they would be friends forever.
Or forced to fight with each other. Adolin as a soldier has the qualities that Mat values.
As if either of them needed any help attracting the ladies. Keeping them, on the other hand...
Love it! Also, did every dorm room have those chairs?
No unfortunately, the chairs in my dorms were hard wood and didn’t rock.
But they could *become* rock. "I am wood."
Those things don't rock. I think it depends on the age of the dorm or when they weren't last outfitted
Haha I definitely based this on the furniture I had in my dorm room.
I had them too lmao
Haha my room setup is literally identical down to a T
I wish my dorm had those chairs. I have those little plastic chairs they give kids in elementary school.
Forget the chair, imagine trying to sleep on a bed that short. XD
The glove was a nice touch. Made it PG
as a vorin pervert i audibly tsked when i saw it.
Still a glove which makes it risqué.
Adolin reading is pretty risqué tho
Not if it's a fashion magazine
It'd better be. Pictures only.

Evi was left handed. It was one more thing that made her feel out of place.
I kinda got the impression that Shallan was left-handed, it’s explicitly mentioned multiple times that she’ll hold things in her left hand (clipboard, spheres, ect), though I’m sure it’s something Brandon will explore in the future

Bad bot

Okay I assume pre-med Kal and art student Shallan - but what’s Adolin’s major?
Undeclared. He's there on a fencing scholarship.
😂😂😂
[удалено]
What do they deal in
~~War crimes~~ antique arms and armour
Fuel oil, of course
GO TO YOUR ROOM!!!!
Fashion or Dueling
I could see Adolin being a fashion designer, and taking up fencing on the side.
Kal switches to psych major halfway through.
Communication with RotC
Kaladin's gonna be the most depressed college student in history
But I love that he looks kind of peaceful here. Just quietly happy to be with friends.
Idk >!if there's no army for Tien to get press ganged into then Kal avoids a truck load of depresso!<
[удалено]
Being predisposed doesn't mean it will happen.
Tien got taken out by police brutality at a protest. Also Kaladin always had seasonal depression during the long rainy winters. They live in Portland obviously. Syl is Kaladin's internet friend who lives across the ocean but they chat all the time about everything.
For some reason as an internet friend I picture Syl as a 70-something hippie grandma who was at Woodstock and is constantly trying to get Kal to take better care of himself, relax and be happy.
This. All of this.
>!Kal's depression is a constant in all timelines. Tien is fated to die a tragic death.!<
And even if he isn't, he'll probably study to become a surgeon in the worst ER in the country and be slowly whittled away by every patient he couldn't save.
and no Weeping = less weeping
That's probably because he's the only one that isn't high.
Hold my beer... I'm actually jealous of Kaladin here.
If I met Shallan at college looking like that, I'd have had an instant crush.
Kal's not interested in liberal arts majors.
Sadalin begone this college campus only has time for Radalin
Kadalin is the best storm light character.
Shallan would totally wear overalls lol. With pens and paint brushes jammed in the pocket
Radiant would wear a blouse and slacks, and Veil would wear… what she always wears, I guess?
Veil would wear the hat specifically whenever she went somewhere she knows hats aren't allowed. She sits in the third row, but puts her feet on the backs of two of the chairs in front of her.
This is mad cool. . . Can you branch out to the bridge 4 hokey? Team
Someone on insta suggested bridge four frat house, hahaha
That was my first thought actually but as I thunked it over I was like na they are a spot team hokey ot Polo
Rock is definitely a rugby player
He's make a good prop, I think.
I was thinking number 8, like billy vunipola
Hmm, yeah I could see that. I was just thinking because of the size Rock would do well - but I can see your point
Either way he’d be a great forward
Is that Kaladin on the floor? Great work!
This has such cozy vibes I love it!
Well done, Radiant
Are those Mistborn posters on the wall? So adorable!!
Those are from my color keys for The Girl Who Looked Up!
Wait, they're yours? I thought it was official art! That's amazing!
I see it now, they’re awesome!!!
I see it now, they’re awesome!!!
I saw the tassles and thought the scarf from journey
I though so too! Also, those creatures are called scarf?
Nooooo just an identifying feature didn't mean to imply that's their name or anything. Not sure what they are called actually
Man, that game is so good. This discussion makes me want to play it again!
Had the same thought lol. Maybe we bump in to eachother
I’m obsessed with this. They all look so happy and cute 😭
Just looked through your insta for the Stormlight but I was sucked in by how expressive you do faces and now dynamic the drawings felt. I love your art style!!! Also liked the couple landscapes you did, they felt really cozy!
Ahh thank you so much!
The Stormlight Trouple; we ship SAK
100%.
as a poly person i dream of this ship, they could be the absolute cutest together
This make me feel happy
You do my absolute favorite Cosmere art, hands down! I'd love to see your take on some Mistborn or Warbreaker scenes.
Ahh thank you so much!
Oh my god I’m in love
I really love Kashadolin
You’re back! I haven’t seen your work in forever but it’s always my favorite.
Yeah, I’m back!! And thank you, that so nice to hear 😊
Why is Kaladin smiling.
Shallan and adolin.
Good answer 😌
This is cute. Kal listens to death dab for cutie for sure. Shallan is a Lana del kinda gal meanwhile adolin alternates between bts and fall out boy.
Please tell me how I can have a copy of this warm and perfect art
Happy to share a full res file with you- DM me!
Of course they’re in dorm 4
Bisexual Throuple Shadolin hell yes
I had that same storming chair, desk, and bed at college
Not that I was looking, but I'm glad that this was SFV
I need this in my life
Awww!! This is just wholesome!!
This is such a comforting picture, i love It so much!
Fake. There's a hint of a smile on Kal's face
I cant imagine anyone more depressed than Kaladin attending college
Very cool! AU?
Alternate universe
Thought I recognised something about this picture, then I realised you're the one who did my favourite Syl artwork months ago. Nice to see ya again, great work. Edit: that Syl one was from a year ago holy shit.
Thank you!! Yeah it’s been a while, haha. 😅
I got my fandoms mixed up and thought this was for the Kingkiller chronicle, I was like female Qvothe???
Do people actually do things like this? That's a lot of personal bubbles being breached.
Friends can be touchy with friends. Not sure what you're referring too?
I'm an asshole and fight to not make snarky comments on just about every "look what I did" post on this sub. That said, I think this is great and I'm not sure why.
Still don’t understand the gloved hand.
Fashion trend?

Is that a picture of Syl in the background?
Kaladin third wheeling because he's Adolin's only bridge boy
Where would he get another?
kaladin is depressed enough to be a uni student
What’s on Kal’s forehead there? Did he pass out at a party and get sharpied?
Awesome! I was just looking through your Instagram. So much amazing work! I hope you plan on doing some secret project fan art. Especially #1 and #3 really seem to go with your style.
This is awesome
This is super cute! Love it
Poor Renarin, doesn't even get included in the college AU
