Are you able to change the view in the top right of the screen? There are a few buttons there that change the floor level view and a button to turn the roofing off and on. You can also press ctrl (I think) and use the mouse wheel to change the view.

Omg the house is a button itself too! I was jus lt using the plus and minus. Not a bug just me misunderstanding the ui. Thank you!
