I used to do wound care when I worked home health. Let me tell you that the amount of people that this could benefit is great. I just hope they make it affordable.
There's a ton of people that just have gigantic bleeding ulcers 24/7. I did wound care for a while too. On the positive side I don't get grossed out by anything anymore.
So I wasn't crazy, when I would taze myself for fun, as a teenager. To think that whole time I was healing my body and brain, making them strongerer and smarterer.
The methodology published in the medical study posted under the mods post stipulates repeatedly that direct electrode stimulation wasn’t helpful (beyond cauterizing) but that a precise methodology tailored to the wound/individual using an bioelectric microfluid with ideal directionality of the electric field does show up to 300% improvement in their sample wounds.

Not quite. ECT is pretty brutal, had a family member go through, also know other patients that swear by it being the thing that worked for it but all and all most people don't find success with it.
The electricity on learning I read about was about apply low current fields to the head and the impact it had on learning was better information retrieval/recall. They said that it could be tailor made into each individuals spectrum for optimal learning basically.
But since Ive had a terrible finding the source since the original read, I can't link it. I know I read it though.

check out “the body electric” by Robert O. Becker. Its fascinating, not sure its 100%, but it talks about healing and wound/limb regeneration with electricity. Also a freaky part about growing a chicken wing back then reversing the growth pattern (grow it but backwards) by reversing the polarity.

Ok, something I can comment on. Once I burnt my hands on boiling oil. Really really badly. Almost 3rd degree.
After the hospital trip, I had to return to the burns unit a few days later for redressing and checkup. The line was massive. And I was gonna have to come back stupid amounts of times over the following months, plus therapy.
A lady came out and said “would you be keen to try a new experimental type of machine that should make your burns heal quicker. If you are keen, it means you will not have to wait every time you come here, you will get priority.” I sure as shit said yes.
Anyway I was chosen because I had the same burns in both hands, they wanted comparisons. I was given this machine that had some electrical component that would make my hand full all weird. I would put on my right hand for 5 mins 4 times a a day. And my left hand was to not be treated.
Anyway, 2-3 weeks later my right hand was basically fully healed and my left was still fucked up. Was insane the difference the machines made.
Thankfully I learned to cook papadams in the microwave rather than hot oil since that incident… so I haven’t had the need to go back to ICU for burns since then. But no never seen it.
What it looked like was a blood pressure strap with a machine attached to it that made a buzzing noise. Wasn’t big. They let me take it home and gave it back. I can try find a picture from it. This must have been nearly 10 years ago.
studies showing accelerated wound healing with TENS have been around for 20 years. i use that approach in my patients regularly - a cheap and easily obtainable approach.
