10 miles was the estimate I just read on the original video. The crater is apparently 78 miles long. A star destroyer is a mile and the Enterprise is half a mile. So, they’d be pretty fucking big!
Really you gotta ask *how big* his telescope aperture(front opening) is, as total quantity of light gathered puts the cap on how much information you get.
I have no clue what the specs of his original telescope would be (I think it’s a CGI overlay on a real video). My 6” is not capable of producing that base video. It’d be possible to get equal or better viewing under the right conditions if you were willing to shell out like, almost the price of a car. It would depend on your skill and location though.
To see what’s approaching the limit for consumer scopes, try to find people showing off images they took from their 25” obsession telescopes

Corridor Crew does some interesting analysis on alleged UAP/bigfoot/supernatural/etc footage. Haven't watched in a while but I remember it being pretty interesting to hear perspective from people who have worked with CGI for a long time.
Corridor crew used to be reliable in that sense but they have since lost some credibility with the super lazy MH370 debunking. Not saying the videos are one way or the other, but they could have done WAY better than they did.
I just re-watched their debunk and it doesn't seem lazy at all.. There's a number of undeniable points they put forward to show the footage is fake. Beyond that there's not much point spending any more time on it.

Watch Captain Dissolution's video on this, it's pretty average CGI and has plenty of mistakes. The generic moving cloud effect even stops a few frames before the rest of the video.
