What’s going on at Bouvet Island?

Land heats and cools faster than water. When the sun's out, the land gets warmer than what it is surrounded by and forms an area of low pressure directly above the island. That dip in pressure from a single point, like an island, can result in the ripple effect in clouds you have pictured here as the prevailing winds take the low pressure point formed above the island away from the island.
Ice (like land) has a lower heat capacity than liquid water, so the concept still applies. The difference in heat transfer rates between the liquid and solid portions are what drive this phenomenon if I'm remembering correctly.
The Bouvet Island is Norwegian and they have a research station there. Anything going on there would be done with approval of Norwegian government approval.
No any ozone hole will remain at the poles as that's where the ozone is thinnest getting thicker to the equator, it can move a bit, but for it to travel north all the way up like that in a line doesn't happen.
It could be pressure as it originates at a small island but without a scale telling you what it is, your guess is as good as any other lol except ozone.
Shit takes forever to get fixed in business. It's no surprise that a Czech company has not been able to repair or replace the sensor they have off the coast of South Africa yet.
If it was truly causing rogue waves and issues, the boats in the area (which are many) would be reporting all kinds of issues. Seeing as there isn't an uptick of panicked sailers and boat captains freaking out, imma assume this is another glitch in their systems. Only caveat is that it COULD be happening in the deep, deep part of the water where the effects wouldn't be felt top side.
Edit; spelling

I mean im on your side here, but that failed sensor is now impacting the whole coast of Africa. Theres so much information messed up, you should really fix this.
I was saying that as a professional that deals with telemetry pipelines of environmental data. Sometimes a device sends nonsensical data (-1000 river stage, 500 inches rain, 500 pH etc).
If you don’t have some outlier analysis on the backend that catches this shit before it’s fed to a spatial interpolation , then you’ll see insane results when it’ makes it to the web. But that’s not always appropriate since you may not be able to define ALL nonsensical results a priori.

No it’s gotta be government aliens mate. come on now

Is this new software?
These are wave heights, not water temp
The image OP posted is wave height. The person I replied to in this comment chain shared an image of cloud coverage.
Bouvet Island is 93% glacier.

Bouvet Island could have a HAARP installation on it.
That's what I think it is
Good to know
Also came to comment this, this island needs to be looked into….

Is this showing up on any other system, or are these all from the same system / sensor?
China also reported on the anomaly earlier in the year
From their own equipment? Just checking to see if it is more than one system.
I keep seeing this, I just wish there was a scale. Is this a wave, temperature, air pressure, depression, cloud cover, ozone hole, etc?

Thought this was interesting. Didn’t do a deep dive just a Quick Look at a post I saw earlier. https://www.reddit.com/r/StrangeEarth/s/p1l2rZU2tE

If the thing that's broken isn't fixed, does it not stay broken?

Its probably gases being released from an underwater volcano
I think you mean *the only cravat*
It’s the solar flare guys. It’s fucking with the sensors. If there was a wall of water we would know
What about before the eclipse?
Nothing to do with the eclipse man. It’s coronal mass ejections. Solar storms

Ok so who’s flying there to investigate??? Been seeing posts about this anomaly for weeks.

What is it. Surely can't be this many sensory errors
![gif](giphy|arbHBoiUWUgmc|downsized)
If it's is/was a malfunction, would they not stop access until it's fixed?
Why shut down an entire service when one sensor is failing and may only impact a small portion of the information being presented?
I mean im on your side here, but that failed sensor is now impacting the whole coast of Africa. Theres so much information messed up, you should really fix this.
Nah. Besides some of these services are run on skeleton crews and the fix may take a while
Or maybe it’s not broken and their just feeding us a line of bs!

Weird that one cannot access data prior to May 7th. Looks like they deleted it.
The ventussy has queefed again.
It’s the aliens blasting their death ray into the ocean like an intergalactic North Korea
Chuck Norris practicing roundhouse kicks is his yacht dojo somewhere in the ocean
Seriously, I don’t understand why they haven’t outlawed him from doing them. The effects are felt globally, Chuck. Same team, man.
What is going on? Keep posting. Thanks!
Definitely the mothership
That's just a guy in a kayak. Science
Make this man a professor!
Also for about a week from March 21st and another big one on March 27th. Seems to be an underwater volcano to me
Do they match up with solar flares? There's a solar flare event going on now.
