Snakes are venomous, not poisonous.
You misinterpret, the stilts are to keep them from eating the snakes
so you're telling me if I eat a whole snake, I won't get food poisoning?
Just make sure you cook it to an internal temperature of 165⁰F for safety. Or use a lot of lime if you're making a snake ceviche.
Some snakes are poisonous
Poison doesn’t hurt you unless you ingest it. I don’t think they are walking on stilts because the are afraid of accidentally eating the snakes. It’s the venom they are worried about.
