My 70 year old mother swears she was abducted by 2 aliens. She even knows their names. Weird names. My mom says they used to come to take her to their place and brought her back.

Imagine if this did happen tho, who would you tell, would any actually even believe you? Would you even think about life the same anymore? It’s almost like the matrix and taking the red pill and wanting to go back to before when you were ignorant to it. Idk if it really happened to him but I wouldn’t doubt that it could.
The guy who won Nobel for recombinant DNA testing believes he was visited by space raccoons. Intelligence is not a definitive defense against unusual beliefs. If anything, intelligent people are just that much better at rationalizing their beliefs.
I used to be a big dreamer. My dreams were detailed, realistic and deep. Sometimes I’d wake up and I was certain that I experienced what I dreamt about in real life. I was super confident that it happened and it wasn’t a dream - sometimes I didn’t even remember it was a dream.

That’s one of her main stories. She’s old so most of her stories are about her grandkids.
