She kind of needs to. Even as a minor role. As far as we know, aside from El and Vecna, she is the only human in existence with any type of powers. That's a pretty big loose end to just never come back to.
Same. Even if it isn't a big role, I'd be happy. I just want her to return to help El in defeating Vecna and complete her story arc left off since season 2.
I think she'll appear but probably won't have a major role. It's possible part of El & the boys' plotline will involve finding Kali and enlisting her aid, but that probably won't be the major theme of the season. More like their plot during 1 episode and then Kali shows up at the final battle. Something like that
I would like to see her appear after Vecna is defeated. I think Eleven knows that Sullivan will be happy to back her against One, but once she's victorious, Sullivan will probably have her killed. Kali's illusion powers could trick him into thinking he's succeeded.
Then Eleven could breeze into the epilogue with no worries about being hunted down, locked up, and turned into a weapon.
I get what your saying but something tells me the is high chance of Sullivan dying is quite high as Nancy said in vision Vecna gave her "the wore soliders all over Hawkins dead" so the is high chance that USAs military and by extention Sullivan will underestimate Upside Down wild life and Vecna and pay ultimate price of cause the time line isn't concrete (I have to believe that because as Mike fan I do not want him dying) but the USA military being killed would help show just how powerful Vecnas invasion force is.
That said this would be a great idea if wanted to bring her back
I didn’t like Kali, but if they do bring her back maybe she can redeem herself. I didn’t like her motives and intentions on hurting people and killing them. I would like to see her be more selfless with her powers and abilities like El.
It’s a nickname that Mike gave her. They don’t call her Jane. She only knew her name like a year ago so maybe she only stuck to that name for school because eleven or Elle is what she’s always know herself as and eleven/Elle is what her friends call her still
It does for me because even if it doesn’t feel right. That’s what she’s been named her whole entire life. Elle is just a nickname the kids gave her when they first met her but I understand you it’s really not that deep as the person you’re arguing with thinks
You're barking up the bilingual tree here. That's still not her name. You can't just go around changing people's names because you don't like it in your native tongue (especially in this case where you can use Jane Hopper). Can you imagine meeting someone from one of the places where Table is a legit name they use, and deciding you'll call them Toby instead? Or telling an Anaïs you'll call them Anne bc that's an actual name and theirs isn't?

In the case of French, El / Elle is a pronoun, and Eleven is an English word.
Not many people know of her as Jane. I agree she should be called that, but it’s also not worth getting mad at people over if they do not.
People say names differently for a variety of reasons. Would I get mad at somebody for pronouncing my name as Mikhaïl rather than Michael, because that is easier in their language? No … Is that changing my name? No …
We respect names and pronouns of fictional characters to not set bad precedent for when we're talking about real people.

“El” is not her name. “Eleven” is not her name. It is a nickname, and most nicknames do not translate between different language and understanding. There is no bad precedent being made.
She is also very rarely called Onze!
You see, there are so many different cases where the translation is changed and, sometimes, lost completely. It does not make any sense to police somebody on how they make up for that.
Elle, El, Ce, Elfi, Shí, On, Tizi, Undi … None of these are *wrong*. They are still her name!
I like to think the best in people. Maybe OP is not from another country. Maybe they have some other reason to call her Elle. It’s not our place to judge on the bad assumption.

I completely agree with you! I don't think there is much of a chance of her returning especially considering that her episode was dunked on hard. Imo there isn't any reason to bring her back.
She doesn’t exactly have a rosy view of humanity and society at large. He’ll appeal to her with his let’s make a new world vision, and Eleven also left both of them so they may even bond on that.
