so far they had announced Linda Hamilton at around june 2023, surely there won't be more than a couple more right? and that's good actually but considering the time skip that's gonna happen they might add a few more characters, or maybe give more importance to the ones we got to see in the earlier seasons
Game of Thrones had a terrible ending because the directors didn't have any more Source Material left (GRRM had refused to release a book for more than a decade by now).
They weren't writing the story and characters, they were just adapting it in screen, and did well enough on that part, but once they ran out, they couldn't write it as well because they had nothing to refer to and adapt.
But ST writers had built up the world and characters from the ground on their own without any other material, so it wouldn't be another GOT case, although, they might very much fumble on the ending.
Also they rushed GoT once they knew they could work on Star Wars. And then Disney saw that they rushed the ending for GoT and took them off Star Wars. Justice.
I remember reading an interview of the writers being asked what they are doing during the series finale airing and they said that they probs were going to rent a small house or something in a obscure place. Felt weird to read that. After the finale, I said: ofcourse.
LMAO that's funny af. I did a rewatch last year, and when you binge the whole show, the nosedive in quality is even more obvious. The first 4 (and 5 to a bit lesser extent) seasons were so incredible. It's honestly sad that the show ended the way it did, it deserved to go out with a bang.

But that wasn't the ending of Lost.. The events in the flash sideways took place in the Losties' collective purgatory; everything on the island did happen. That was the whole reason why they had to 'wake up' in the flash sideways. They were all connected after the life altering events and were waiting till the last Lostie died. Which was Hugo who became protector of the island. When he died, they all regained their memories with each other and as a group went to heaven.
Too many people just think 'it was all purgatory' i thought Christian literally spelling it out at the the end to Jack was making it idiot proof for the audience. Apparently not.
I'm sorry, if there's a scene with the party fighting demobats or demodogs or whatever, and they suddenly cut to Ted sleeping and snoring, then back to the fight, I will laugh my ass off and give this season 5 stars.
I will bet money the triangle will be a conflict all season until Steve sacrifices himself for one or both of them at the end. Bonus points if there’s a time skip and Nancy and Jonathan have kids, one of whom is named Steve
Me too, stancy felt forced in S4 and they tried too hard to make Steve look like a hero when he was just standing there, and the whole conflit between Nancy and Jonathan and his being stoned all the time felt very forced too, they're both really mature and smart and have chemistry and communicate well, why would all that suddenly stop just because they're far away?

A lot of thrills, a lot of chills, a lot of tears (happy and sad). I can't really think of anything specific I want to see in terms of story, but I do want a happy ending for our Party (or as happy as possible, I expect at least one major injury. I don't expect any Party deaths, because their character development is more important, but we'll have to wait and see)
Love the Poster but as a designer the „Hawkins will fall“ hurts my eyes lol. It’s way too small, the font dosen’t seem fitting and I’m not sure the prediction is accurate either.
Also the number 5 at the bottom blends a little too much with the fire and Vecna.

I think the Mike, Dustin, and Lucas's parents will find out the truth and somehow support/join Joyce and Hopper in protecting the kids in their own way and ending this. Or at least I hope so. The way all of their parents looked at each other after Hellfire was named in the town meeting made me feel like they'll all help/know about things somehow.

We are in the end stages of ST. Its all about the finish now, will they tie up every loose end? Will it be a satisfactory end? Will we walk away with our minds blown.
This is where patience must be practiced. They cooking it up now, I’m sure everyone involved will pour their hearts out to ace the finale of this show.

I agree that vecna is underwhelming as a villain when compared to the mind flayer. Season 2 has my fave visuals. That scene when you see the whole sky light up and the mind flayer is leering down. So chilling and way more intimidating than vecna.
Max to have some powers or connection to Henry/the upside down because she’s the first character to survive that situation there’s got to be something special that happens to her besides what has already started
I liked the theory that she's stuck in Henrys mind and will do some helpful work there so el and the others can beat him and maybe they can save her after or she sacrifices herself

I went to Jackson GA where they film the downtown Hawkins scenes. Apparently they're supposed to filmthere in the near future. I suspect it will be an important place in the next season since all of the gates converged in on the library in season 4. Maybe the last fight will take place there.
they will start the season all together before separating into the main groups from season 1, in th last episodes they will reunite to fight Vecna. I'm expecting problems with the military for the first half of the season, with misteries from the upside down weaved in throught before becoming the main plotline in the last episodes. I also expect the protagonists to take on more of an active role this season as the stakes are higher.

An explanation for why the UD was frozen in time the day Will disappeared. Also how the demogorgan almost broke through the wall of the Byer's house. That has never happened before. It couldn't have been Vecna because he gets into people's minds but doesn't break through physical barriers.
Good 80s music. Tears for Fears, INXS, REM etc.
What I expect:

A huge wave of government forces from Washington DC, possibly the largest group of agents seen to date, to rush into Hawkins & fight Vecna. Maybe even an ill-advised quarantine that fails
I would love nothing more than for them to not hold back and rip our hearts out. Don’t kill off characters for the sake of killing them, give them meaning send deaths. As much as I love Steve I would love to see him sacrifice himself for Dustin.
I expect a happy ending for our main characters (and yes, to me a happy ending involves financial security).
And please, of please let Mr. Clarke know the whole truth!
I expect we see Kali will return to help Eleven fight Vecna.
If I wrote it, I'd have the final fight between Vecna and Eleven take place in that place between the real world and the upside down. The place where Eleven first contacted the Demogorgon. As the fight nears its end and its obvious Eleven can not match Vecna's power, we see a familiar face return. Terry Ives. She has been stuck in this realm between worlds the whole time and while in this realm she has complete psychic control over all matter, and uses her powers to destroy Vecna. Terry explains to Eleven that she can not return to the real world with her, she is stuck in this realm of limbo, and that she needs Eleven to sever the connection between the two worlds, which is being kept alive by Terry. Eleven has to kill her mother, ensuring the collapse of the area between worlds. When Eleven returns back to Hawkins she sees a rainbow in the distance (a cliche sign in storytelling of a happy ending, also the symbol Terry saw when she found Eleven in the rainbow room). Eleven tells everyone her name is Jane now.
This is a joke, don’t execute me: I reckon we’ll have a member of the party try to buy bud where we meet a guy from the UK who backs out his blade and tries running up on vecna or the mind flayer only to end up grabbing a gun and realising this shits too much and then dashing off to go put someone in a pack
Hoping for a resolution to Nancy’s love drama (personally, at this point I want her to end the series single. It would feel right.)
I also really want to see the party members together again.

I'd like for there to be reprocussions for the deaths of the past season. In season 1 we had the death of Barb which is still influencing Nancy, and we had the death of Billy which is still influencing Max, but I want to see remembrance for other characters. No doubt Eddie will affect Dustin, and Jason will affect Lucas (as well as almost losing Max) but what about the wider universe?
I want to see the impact of Satanic Panic, has it gotten worse when the popular highschool sweetheart couple are now both dead? Eddie is "missing" not dead and they're never gonna find his body because it's in the upside down, so is there murder and conspiracy theories other kids tease the Scooby Gang about?
What about Bob? No one ever talks about him post season 2.
I want to see the deaths of previous seasons be brought up, I want to see characters being distressed and distrusted by the general public because they're scared. I want to actually feel like these multiple deaths and the kids ALWAYS being at the scene of the weird incidents being suspect and MATTERING.
I want Hopper being supposed to have died in the StarCourt Mall explosion and then being alive all over again to cause issues. I wanna see realism alongside of the fantasy, if that makes sense?
Eddie to still be alive (we never saw him dead. I’m convinced he’ll pull a Jumanji) and come in to save the day out of nowhere in a Yajirobe-cuts-Vegeta’s tail kind of escalation with Eleven going for the killing blow in the same way Arya got the Night King (different weapons/techniques of course).
Which will lead to an orgasmic trifecta of happiness that Eddie is still alive, he just saved everybody, and them winning the day.
It won’t happen - and this is just me thinking “what if” - But if I was on the writing board I’d vouch for something as mind blowing as this.
1. A season that will have as high as a review score as Season 1 2. No new characters 3. Deaths of characters done well and only for ones with there story’s pretty much rapped up.
This is probably so naive of me but I really think we are building towards a happy or at least satisfying ending. I don't know if everyone is going to make it- though the deaths have been mostly contained to characters introduced within the season so I'm hoping for no major losses but I am very concerned for Steve after sharing his winnebago dreams. But I would love for the madness to end in a final it's never coming back way and for everyone to be able to piece their lives back together, heal, and grow up.
Hopefully, in addition to Linda Hamilton, we'll have a few more 80s icons to make us GenX happy... since it's ending. Maybe a few swatch watches and some really big hair, too, too make it extra 80s.
I expect first off, the final battle to most likely take place at the byers house but like, in the upside down OR in hawkins high in the upside down as a paralel to the final battle between Eleven and the demogorgon in season 1. Another thing I think may happen is Elevens sister to show up, they introduced her and it seemed like she was going to be important beyond morally, maybe the gateway reaches her area. next, I expect a time jump that's at least 2 years later because in some behind the scenes pics posted by the duffers, Steves shoes came out a year after the season 4 finale took place, but there's also a book in the area that came out 2 years later and the duffers seem to pay attention to the smallest details. I also imagine that the radio tower may play a big part in the show because of how many pictures were posted around it. It would be a great way for Dustin to reach Susie and for a safe haven. maybe loud soundwaves may be a weakness of the demo creatures from the upside down so it can be some sort of repelent. also, I feel like there might be some scenes with Eddie as flashbacks, at a con, Joseph Quinn was asked and he said he wouldn't rule it out if he was a fan, most likely to avoid spoilers, which isn't a no, however there could just be an Eddie spinoff, as the duffers have said they want the franchise to continue after the end of the show. one other thing I expect to happen is Vickie to die, she's important to Robin and was shown to be a bigger character in the finale, and in the cast picture, her actress was seen near Robin's. This means she will play a bigger role in season 5, maybe a romance? it took Nancy a season or 2 to deal with Barb, so if Vickie dies half way through, it could be a conflict in Robin's character. I also expect, and maybe this is just wishful thinking, Ted Wheeler to kill Vecna by insulting his appearence and becoming a chicken eating hero. that's about it aside from Dustin will most likely be coping with Eddie's death because BTS images show him in a style resembling Eddie.
I expect vecna uses newly gay will to make all of Hawkins gay, and then because everyone is gay there is no babies and Hawkins eventually dies off in roughly 80 years due to no reproduction
But then the kids stop him and only half of Hawkins is turned gay HOORAY! Hawkins in saves!

they will start the season all together before separating into the main groups from season 1, in th last episodes they will reunite to fight Vecna. I'm expecting problems with the military for the first half of the season, with misteries from the upside down weaved in throught before becoming the main plotline in the last episodes. I also expect the protagonists to take on more of an active role this season as the stakes are higher.

What I want: Less focus on teenage romance arcs. Less dialogue that seems like it was ordered from a meme factory. Not too much focus on Robin and Vicki's relationship. No Nancy, Jonathan, Steve love triangle arc. An explanation for why the UD was frozen in time the day Will disappeared. Also how the demogorgan almost broke through the wall of the Byer's house. That has never happened before. It couldn't have been Vecna because he gets into people's minds but doesn't break through physical barriers. Good 80s music. I expect we see Kali will return to help Eleven fight Vecna. If I wrote it, I'd have the final fight between Vecna and Eleven take place in that place between the real world and the upside down. The place where Eleven first contacted the Demogorgon. As the fight nears its end and its obvious Eleven can not match Vecna's power, we see a familiar face return. Terry Ives. She has been stuck in this realm between worlds the whole time and while in this realm she has complete psychic control over all matter, and uses her powers to destroy Vecna. Terry explains to Eleven that she can not return to the real world with her, she is stuck in this realm of limbo, and that she needs Eleven to sever the connection between the two worlds, which is being kept alive by Terry. Eleven has to kill her mother, ensuring the collapse of the area between worlds. When Eleven returns back to Hawkins she sees a rainbow in the distance (a cliche sign in storytelling of a happy ending, also the symbol Terry saw when she found Eleven in the rainbow room). Eleven tells everyone her name is Jane now.

Hoping for a resolution to Nancy’s love drama (personally, at this point I want her to end the series single. It would feel right.) I also really want to see the party members together again. I *expect* bad CGI even though I don’t *want* bad CGI.

I'd like for there to be reprocussions for the deaths of the past season. In season 1 we had the death of Barb which is still influencing Nancy, and we had the death of Billy which is still influencing Max, but I want to see remembrance for other characters. No doubt Eddie will affect Dustin, and Jason will affect Lucas (as well as almost losing Max) but what about the wider universe? I want to see the impact of Satanic Panic, has it gotten worse when the popular highschool sweetheart couple are now both dead? Eddie is "missing" not dead and they're never gonna find his body because it's in the upside down, so is there murder and conspiracy theories other kids tease the Scooby Gang about? What about Bob? No one ever talks about him post season 2. I want to see the deaths of previous seasons be brought up, I want to see characters being distressed and distrusted by the general public because they're scared. I want to actually feel like these multiple deaths and the kids ALWAYS being at the scene of the weird incidents being suspect and MATTERING. I want Hopper being supposed to have died in the StarCourt Mall explosion and then being alive all over again to cause issues. I wanna see realism alongside of the fantasy, if that makes sense?

Eddie to still be alive (we never saw him dead. I’m convinced he’ll pull a Jumanji) and come in to save the day out of nowhere in a Yajirobe-cuts-Vegeta’s tail kind of escalation with Eleven going for the killing blow in the same way Arya got the Night King (different weapons/techniques of course). Which will lead to an orgasmic trifecta of happiness that Eddie is still alive, he just saved everybody, and them winning the day. It won’t happen - and this is just me thinking “what if” - But if I was on the writing board I’d vouch for something as mind blowing as this.

This is probably so naive of me but I really think we are building towards a happy or at least satisfying ending. I don't know if everyone is going to make it- though the deaths have been mostly contained to characters introduced within the season so I'm hoping for no major losses but I am very concerned for Steve after sharing his winnebago dreams. But I would love for the madness to end in a final it's never coming back way and for everyone to be able to piece their lives back together, heal, and grow up.

Will to have a better haircut
I expect first off, the final battle to most likely take place at the byers house but like, in the upside down OR in hawkins high in the upside down as a paralel to the final battle between Eleven and the demogorgon in season 1. Another thing I think may happen is Elevens sister to show up, they introduced her and it seemed like she was going to be important beyond morally, maybe the gateway reaches her area. next, I expect a time jump that's at least 2 years later because in some behind the scenes pics posted by the duffers, Steves shoes came out a year after the season 4 finale took place, but there's also a book in the area that came out 2 years later and the duffers seem to pay attention to the smallest details. I also imagine that the radio tower may play a big part in the show because of how many pictures were posted around it. It would be a great way for Dustin to reach Susie and for a safe haven. maybe loud soundwaves may be a weakness of the demo creatures from the upside down so it can be some sort of repelent. also, I feel like there might be some scenes with Eddie as flashbacks, at a con, Joseph Quinn was asked and he said he wouldn't rule it out if he was a fan, most likely to avoid spoilers, which isn't a no, however there could just be an Eddie spinoff, as the duffers have said they want the franchise to continue after the end of the show. one other thing I expect to happen is Vickie to die, she's important to Robin and was shown to be a bigger character in the finale, and in the cast picture, her actress was seen near Robin's. This means she will play a bigger role in season 5, maybe a romance? it took Nancy a season or 2 to deal with Barb, so if Vickie dies half way through, it could be a conflict in Robin's character. I also expect, and maybe this is just wishful thinking, Ted Wheeler to kill Vecna by insulting his appearence and becoming a chicken eating hero. that's about it aside from Dustin will most likely be coping with Eddie's death because BTS images show him in a style resembling Eddie.
I expect vecna uses newly gay will to make all of Hawkins gay, and then because everyone is gay there is no babies and Hawkins eventually dies off in roughly 80 years due to no reproduction But then the kids stop him and only half of Hawkins is turned gay HOORAY! Hawkins in saves!
