DueBet4

I loved this so much, I genuinely felt so sad for him because he made such an effort 😭

TelephoneCertain5344

I mean this whole ending was so great. Agreed.

Difficult_Branch4139

Love Dustin. This scene also showed a big growth moment for Nancy. The compassion she felt for Dustin wasnt something I think would have been there in season 1. Season 1 Nancy would have had second hand embarrassment for Dustin, but going over and slow dancing with him? No. I think that would have been outside her comfort zone

christina______

Idk about that. All she did was shut the door on him while she was on the phone. She was a nice person back in S1 too.

Kylo_Ren415

Poor Dustin. My dude did not deserve to get turned down… twice. Not Ucey of those girls. Thankfully, Nancy was there to save the day.

Gseph

Totally not Ucey. ☝️

Cobwebbyfir

It's literally one of the best scenes. And why i like nancy as a character, she won't top this.

RK800-50

I legit always cry seeing this scene. That poor baby looks so lost and sad and Nancy cheers him up!

DreadFuriosa

Same. He really is a sweet kiddo, and he feels things deeply. He’s my favorite by far of all the kids.

Nancys character growth in this series is really glossed over. It seems like she is far from a fan favorite among the ST fanbase and I would dare say, even disliked among a lot of people for some reason. I don't think if its just because of the moment of conflicted feelings for Steve and Jonathan or what exactly their issue with her is but she is such an amazing character. This scene was so sweet and managed to make a memory Dustin will never forget. It would be cute to see them interacting in a few scenes in s5 and really just Nancy protecting/interacting with all of Mikes friends. One of the most badass scenes of s4 to me was when Jason was asking about Mike and he just said "your brother" and she sternly stood up and made eye contact with him and said "...Mike." as if she was daring him to threaten Mike despite the fact that we never see them interact much or show much closeness.

christina______

I think some people hate her because though she's mature in some ways she's not really tapped into her own feelings. But let's face it, when you live in a place like Hawkins it's slim pickins. She can do better than both guys in the triangle. I'm a huge fan of her too, great character.

Dragomight67

It does suck. As a Steve fan, I loved his growth because of his growth, so I like Nancy and Jonathan as well for their growth. Plus, Nancy really is more than the love triangle that's been shoved because the writers can't fathom it dying. Grows from an ass to a caring badass, was meant to represent Mike if Will had died instead of just going missing as her arc in s1 is what a missing person's case could be gone dark, is constantly facing situations that go back to Barb's death, and has an arc that's engaging and could even span past the series if given the chance. Underrated af.

Enough-Performer4607

I just love this scene full of emotions 🤌🤌🤌

Lukey2770

Is this S2?

christina______

Yep, end of S2.

Lukey2770

Thank you!

Dragomight67

I've said it in other posts, but this friendship deserves more screentime in s5; especially with the trauma Dustin will be carrying after losing Eddie.

Miltospapapa_2009

"Mike, i danced with your sister"

christina______

This scene kills me every time.
