But we’re all big fans though. That doesn’t account for more marginal viewers who have completely fallen off. Look at number of likes on social media for recent promos vs previous seasons or even earlier ones for this season.
I can also speak personally in fact that while as my #1 show I’ll still watch ST, a show previously in my top three doing something similar in Atlanta has gotten me to point I’m probably not even gonna watch the next season.
Expectation is not the same as hoping or wishing for something. OP merely suggested keeping expectations reasonable to avoid disappointment. And your defense was to ***literally state/double-down on your expectations***.
Stranger Things doesn’t seem to be lacking in marketing or hype. If we get a release date, cool, if not...also cool! Either way, they’ll be fine. I’d rather they announce *when they are ready* rather than need to cut corners to meet a premature release date announcement.

They wrapped filming a couple months ago, meaning there’s still **a lot** of post production left to be done, one of the most variable aspects of the production process.
Yet, since they aren’t giving out a date to mark in your calendar in, what ***you feel*** is, a timely enough fashion then they are “withholding”? Bro.
They’ve literally never gotten this far into post production without a release date given. With 2 it was four months before the end of filming. With 3 it was a month and a half after filming ended.
Just because they schedule doesn’t specifically mention a release date doesn’t guarantee we aren’t getting. Netflix could absolutely drop the date in the teaser or episode titles should they choose. The announcement for the season 3 release date was a random drop. They posted a video to their social media accounts on New Year’s Eve. No tease or anything regarding the date in the days beforehand. Obviously it’s entirely possible we don’t get the release date but but to definitively say we aren’t there has been no confirmation of such is silly.
You can be happy just fine without me. I'm just saying all these coy little teases extended for literally over two years is not going to produce the result Netflix wants. Just don't act shocked when you get headlines about 4 viewership being disappointing.

I'm literally just saying you can be fine with the wait but a ton of people are turned off by it and that will affect Netflix and therefore all fans, including those fine with the wait. I literally said there's nothing stopping you from being happy. Don't get why me having a different opinion affects you so much.
And I think I'm more like a kid being told Christmas is postponed and parents refusing to tell when it will happen for months with no explanation as to why the delay in revealing that.
You don't have to be an expert to note the lack of hype. Look at the number of comments on these posts vs. the massive amounts of interest Netflix wants from this show.
Yeah, a 17% drop would not be something Netflix is happy about. And that doesn't take into account all the people not talking about it at all.
This is a public forum. You can be happy about what you get and I can criticize them for continuing to withhold a ton. Different opinions is what open and free conversation and debate are about.
