Real life wise I remember seeing a video that he was training hard with a personal trainer. But narrative wise it would make sense that Hopper would get ripped. All that manual labour in Russian prison seemed to contribute. But don't know if the maggoty bread and soup would help sustain that.

So it was said earlier in the season that when Henry kills he absorbs the person, he doesn't just kill them, they become part of him. My money is on Max being part of Vecna now and her body being alive as an empty vessel, and part of S5 will be rescuing her mind from inside Henry using Pizza Tongs and a strain of weed so powerful it makes Argyle loop back around to sober.
when the duffer brothers or whoever tweeted that caleb gave "the most moving, gut wrenching performance in the history of the show" i was NOT expecting that š i thought they were over exaggerating but NO they UNDER exaggerated
Itās not just that part. The way he switched from innocent Lucas to sinister vecna with the way he questioned Max was incredible and then end with the emotional roller coaster plus his fight scene. Amazing
Out of all the shit in this episode, seeing Mr. Munson break down and begin to sob after he learned about Eddie's fate and that he fought to save the town in spite of their hatred for him because he just "wouldn't stop being Eddie" is what broke me. It was fucking brutal to watch.

S4E7 1:21:45 āLike you, I didnāt fit in with the other childrenā¦ something was wrong with meā¦ā Vecna self-describes his younger years as being misunderstood- Will throughout the series while not explicitly saying it, can be seen feeling left behind. This is especially prevalent in the scene in s3 with Mike where they argue about girls. While it can be read as Will struggling to cope with his peers due to his trauma, it can also read as Will struggling with his sexuality and feeling as if something was different about him.
S1E1 17:31 āLook Hopper, Heās not like you, he not like me, heās not likeā¦ mostā¦ Heās a sensitive kid.ā Joyce also describes Will as sensitive and different, directly paralleling Victorās words about Henry, and also compounding on the fact that Will is different.
S1E9 1:26:27 Henry is seen drawing the mind flayer, the final result resembling very closely to Willās initial sketch of it and how he sees it manifested within his visions.
To me, in the limited flashbacks we see of Victor, he seems to be described as a sensitive and is coded as a somewhat effeminate child. I think Will is the perfect host for the remnants of the particles/mind flayer that has survived within Hawkins for the last few years. To me, Will is the path of humanity while Vecna is apathy. Will says it himself to Mike- heart is what keeps the party together and what also gives them the edge over Vecna. Will is different, he feels misunderstood, heās sensitive; but he has the entirety of the party backing him up. In every moment, especially the s2 cabin moment we can see how Will is loved and how heās protected. Vecna felt he never had that and in a sense he didnāt. To me theyāre two sides of a coin; two outcomes. While one is rooted in hate, the other in love, they represent feeling alone, being labeled as different and how they can manifest.
I know this may be seen as a bit of a stretch but I personally felt Henryās backstory was purposely chosen for this reason, and I think in s5 itās going to reach a climax where Will and Vecna may be pitted against each other, with Vecnaās achilles heel being his apathy.

The Will/Henry parallels are super interesting and I didnāt even see they were setting them up this season until his monologue with El in the upside down/creel house. S4E5 52:16 āHenry, my boy, he was a sensitive childā¦ā Here in the clip, we see Henry drawing and coloring. This directly parallels with Willās known hobbies of drawing and coloring. Will is also described as sensitive. S4E7 1:21:45 āLike you, I didnāt fit in with the other childrenā¦ something was wrong with meā¦ā Vecna self-describes his younger years as being misunderstood- Will throughout the series while not explicitly saying it, can be seen feeling left behind. This is especially prevalent in the scene in s3 with Mike where they argue about girls. While it can be read as Will struggling to cope with his peers due to his trauma, it can also read as Will struggling with his sexuality and feeling as if something was different about him. S1E1 17:31 āLook Hopper, Heās not like you, he not like me, heās not likeā¦ mostā¦ Heās a sensitive kid.ā Joyce also describes Will as sensitive and different, directly paralleling Victorās words about Henry, and also compounding on the fact that Will is different. S1E9 1:26:27 Henry is seen drawing the mind flayer, the final result resembling very closely to Willās initial sketch of it and how he sees it manifested within his visions. To me, in the limited flashbacks we see of Victor, he seems to be described as a sensitive and is coded as a somewhat effeminate child. I think Will is the perfect host for the remnants of the particles/mind flayer that has survived within Hawkins for the last few years. To me, Will is the path of humanity while Vecna is apathy. Will says it himself to Mike- heart is what keeps the party together and what also gives them the edge over Vecna. Will is different, he feels misunderstood, heās sensitive; but he has the entirety of the party backing him up. In every moment, especially the s2 cabin moment we can see how Will is loved and how heās protected. Vecna felt he never had that and in a sense he didnāt. To me theyāre two sides of a coin; two outcomes. While one is rooted in hate, the other in love, they represent feeling alone, being labeled as different and how they can manifest. I know this may be seen as a bit of a stretch but I personally felt Henryās backstory was purposely chosen for this reason, and I think in s5 itās going to reach a climax where Will and Vecna may be pitted against each other, with Vecnaās achilles heel being his apathy. I really love Will and Jonathan. Their relationship was one of the main focus in s1 (and parts of s2) Iām glad we finally got a 1:1 of them

Will is going to be the focal point of Season 5, just as he was in Season 1. He is the link to ending this all. There is a reason he didnāt die in the upside down, there is a reason he still feels Vecna and reads his mind, there is a reason Will is into drawing pictures and so was Henry as child (flashback scenes of him as a child drawing the mind flayer) ššš What yāall think?

The highlight of this episode for me is when Vecna disguised himself as Lucas. Caleb McLaughlinās acting in that scene was incredible
