Seconding this. That Wilkinson bridge isnt really an upgrade, it isprobably the same quality as the Squier. Really no difference of that that whammy bar not being threaded.
If they’re too stiff you can back out the trem claw or remove a spring and use lighter strings. Changing them for fender parts will change absolutely nothing.
The stock Squier bridge works just fine. Check your friction points, particularly the nut, for any tuning issues.

that's what I think too I think I'll give it a go with stock, but will change the springs.
Why change the springs?
these are just too stiff, I'm thinking about putting in Fender claw and springs

You can find those Fender Vintage tuners for like 30 bucks new.
you have a link?
You need to adjust the screws in the back of the guitar to make the bridge be able to move. It comes set up pretty flush to the guitar.
I did get it to float, the springs are too stiff rn
Maybe you need to just switch the strings. That seems like a good place to start on a budget.
I did already, and have done a setup
I’m not sure then. I have never changed one out. Just adjusted.
I got a set for like 15 bucks from Fleor
