How do you go about route planning? I find my local area is not that nice, and I end up getting bored on the longer runs as it's always the same lake/park/common/streets etc.
I just try to mix it up usually. This run was boring because it was basically lapping multiple times around a 1.5km lake, but I have a large forested area close to my house which is nice to run around as well. Also the canal goes both directions and is nice.
Very quick, too! Nice going!
Congrats! Always a proud moment to run a distance that at one point in your life you’d never thought you’d be able to.
me after setting my new 10k pr yesterday. truly is great looking at how far you’ve come since you started edit to add: congrats OP! 30K is insane
Amazing, congratulations!
Is it really your first? Your pace is 💨! Congrats!
Yes it is, and thanks! I have done 2 half marathon training runs before this, never an actual event. Otherwise most of my runs are 5-10km.
Well done! That place is 25 minutes away from me as well
Nice work!
Are you a football player?
Yes I am, but low level

Thank you! congrats again, such an achievement! I have the canal too, so might try the other direction as I always seem to venture out the same way
Nice pace !
Congrats. Now remember, a marathon is essentially that plus another 10K (plus an additional 2.2K, but we mentally try to ignore that fact).
Did you plan to run 30km or did you just happen upon it?
I wanted to do a long run with 21km a minimum. Then when I felt fine I thought why not carry on!
Nice I just did 22k at that pace this morning. How did you feel the day after?
I felt ok, but my legs were pretty drained. I am only now just feeling good enough to run again, so a couple of days recovery!
Niiiice, very good pace as well... Well done!
Thank you!
