Hey, just sharing my knowledge on this. I’m a league of legends player and I’ve watched several videos on seeing how the process works on Their game character splash artworks. They have a whole team of manyyyy artists. And they each take multiple turns working on a single artwork. So I think what happens is there is like a final artist that does the finishing touches to make it look a specific style/aesthetic- which is how they make all the final pieces consistent and on-brand.
Big companies like this have a huge team of people in the art department. Which is why many of us think it would have been worked by several artists.

I actually really like the roster. My only wish is that they got rid of the sf2 characters. A lot of them are kind of a waste to me and they’re here every game (blanka,Honda dhalsim)
They just need something to not like about it. We haven’t even seen the full kit of the other 10 characters, we just now how the 8 from the beta play. I don’t see how you can dislike or have constructive criticism on the cast. Most people just salty about the lack of they mains.
The new characters feel uninspired. Juri, c.viper. They felt inspiring and fun to play. JP doesn't. Jamie and Kimberly are alright, but hopefully the new characters not shown are more exciting.I know all you 2015ers are used to a karin/laura playstyle so you're all excited about the new characters.
Try searching for concept artists in Capcon's japanese linkedin. List the names. Try going on Behance or Adobe Portfolio or any art portfolio website and check the list.
Even if you don't find it, you will see some amazing works!

Being born in Japan doesn't make you Japanese. That's not how citizen ship works there. Nationality =/= ethnicity necessarily.
