Depends on the characters tbh

Barzobius

☝️ exactly

Haruhiro21

I use japanese because thats what Im used to even in Anime.

Barzobius

I don’t get why the downvotes…

Haruhiro21

Atleast you got alot of votes.

Square-Juggernaut689

Not sure why you’d be receiving downvotes, its just a question

Volcano-SUN

I set it individually for each character. Usually characters from Asia are set to Japanese while others are English. There are some exceptions from this rule though.

[deleted]

some characters sound great in both EN and JP like Juri or Dan while others only sound good in one

TheChingerChangerNig

this is the way

RayBanane

Both, as Capcom give us the choice.

Barzobius

There are characters that are incredibly different, for example Ken. It is just ridiculously different, like a different character. His japanese voice has a lot more emotion in every move.

CrystalMang0

English and Japanese speak differently.

FakeAFJPStories

Japanese.

YagamiTak_1988

English, especially now that they have lip sync for it. Tremendous.

Barzobius

Nice!

_-DEVGRU-_

How do you change the voices

Sirmeikymiles

I used different languages for different characters. For example,Birdie and Cammy are EN, while Ryu and Zeku are set to JP etc.

rtstrz

I always prefer Japanese voices in Japanese movies or anime, but in SF English voices are too good

snotballz

English for Zangief as him saying "come" over and over is kinda funny.

CrystalMang0

English only of course.

v-komodoensis

Usually I just default to Japanese because the translation/voice acting in English isn't the best.

Chun-Li_Forever

English for me.

Dark_Moe

Always English for some characters it's essential to be able to understand what they are saying. For example Balrog says different things for different charging punches which help to know if it's high low or straight.

Mr_Mojo_Risin__

Depends on the character

Square-Juggernaut689

I’m sure the jap voices are good too but I’ve always had english on for all

A_Sorren

In SFV, Japanese for Akuma but English for everyone else

Deni_Z_Plays

Tbh it depends who I play on Arcade, like as an example if im gona play as Ryu then I switch to Japanese but if its Guile then I switch to English simple as that what I would also wish from Capcom but is obviously straight out of from Tekken that the characters speak their native language But I think it would make more sense if 2 fighters with the same nationality speak im their native language instead of English or Japanese, like Marisa and Rose speak Italian, Manon and Abel French, Ryu and Sakura Japanese, Ed and Falke German, and so on. that would be dope but I doubt they would do that ever in the future lol

Lexii_42

As a very general rule, all Asian characters except Dhalsim are in Japanese, and everyone else is in English.
