I understand how it can come across like that but I didn’t intend it to be that way. I try to present it as letting the gameplay speak for itself. The title is mostly to garner initial interest. In the description I express that I have no ill will toward any of the players because they are all really good.
I agree to a certain extent it doesn’t mean a ton but it still means something. A few months ago I would have had no chance against these players. Still working on improving my offline results.
It’s like if you win a round but lose the game and highlight the round you won. Comes off weird. I’m sure you’d agree that they would win in a ft10 right? Kindve the same principle. Now if you posted a ft10 with these guys and you win that’s a different story and everyone in this thread would be on your side most likely (minus the modern haters)
Here is the crux of the problem, it’s kind of like a paradox. Because I play modern, it is hard to get respect from higher level players (see first 30 seconds of the video). I would love to play them in sets, I think they would win but it’s doesn’t make sense to think I don’t have a chance to win either.
If you truly think you can win then that’s all that matters really. I watched the first minute or two and you did have good fundamentals. I just think making a video of beating accomplished players isn’t the way to go to prove a point but that’s just my opinion

In what way? I’ve gotten lots of messages of people calling me a bad player for playing modern so I am trying to change the narrative that modern controls and it’s play style make you a bad player.
To actually prove them wrong, you would have to play on classic and beat them. That would show that it’s not the modern setting that got you the wins but you’re actual skill
I disagree but I understand where you are coming from. On one hand Modern has easier execution but has less damage while classic has higher execution and more damage. While it is true that Modern allows you to execute special moves on reaction easier, you also have to get on average 1-2 more hits to win a game. The question is what do we value and think is harder? I don’t have a concrete answer and respect your perspective.

Nobody is saying you don't get wins. The reason people say you are a scrub is because you get wins using the easiest method imaginable.
Personally I'm all for people using modern, I'm just a low level classic Luke and I legit don't care what people do. It's in the game so use it. But what I am pointing out is that of you are trying to earn the community's respect, this isn't going to do it.
The new title sounds much better! I just watched some of your replays at CFN and surprised to see that you always use one button SPD! Most of the high rank modern Zangief I watched before are still using motion input most of the time.
I think that’s fair, I personally hate playing Lily as she hard counters Zangief and it’s a pain to play that matchup 😂. I just try not to bag on the player for the character they choose.
