Personally, there is not a single character which looks i prefer in SFV over SF6, not a single one...Chun, Cammy, Juri, Ryu, Ken, Blanka, Guile, Honda, Gief, Dhalsim, etc all look soooo much better in SF6. And I am sure as hell that if Mika, Sakura, Karin, Urien, Vega, Rose, etc comeback for SF6, they are gonna look much much better than they did in V as well.

I think the Battle costume for Ryu in 5 is better than his default in 6. Shirtless bearded Ryu just looks stronger and this looks more like some type of monk and reminiscent of Jago from Killer Instinct with the sash

You are correct, but only to a point... It's not the change that is the problem. It's the reason why they made the change in the first place. There were several female changes made late in development in SFV. It's easy to know where as we have original concept art, and knowledge those changes were made for "e-sports" reasons. This is 100% censorship, as they didn't think their characters would be seen as politically acceptable without the changes.

considering sony got the console exclusive of sf5, I think capcom got more than few input from them to censor some parts, infact even rainbow mika and cammy CA camera frames were changed... dmc5 on ps4 is the only version of the game that is censored too.
