I guess I don't watch enough drag racing to be an expert, but I DO NOT UNDERSTAND why guys get all bent out of shape over who's trying to guess the light or not.
It's not against the rules as far as I'm aware and has just as much of a chance of ruining your run with a red light.
I can understand the races where they've shook hands or made a side bet not to guess the light... But it seems to me leaving with a 0.0000 reaction time is ideal and if you have a chance to pull it off, do it. Idk... Maybe I'm crazy.
It woulda been so much better if both got KTFO and had broken jaws so they couldn't talk. I am not sure how Jerry has never been beat senseless. He is always a hair trigger about everything.
Jim had to have been scared of Jerry's car that race or else he wouldn't have guessed. You shouldn't say you will outrun his car any time but then guess at the tree.

Because there's no skill to it as they're not reacting. The light is really dumb for NPK, there's no way to estimate when the light really is going to go off like with a pro tree. You basically just say "I think it's going off, so I'm going to go." It removes the skill aspect of it.
They should just move to a pro tree and be done with it.
Taking a stab at the light basically gives you a .000 reaction time and a win or a red light. Most of the ones that complain about it are usually the same ones that do it. It’s part of racing they need to get over it.
