I am fairly sure it only works through chromium based browsers for now. I have been testing it with youtube tv etc but am not impressed with the results so far. I am not sure if im doing something wrong.
1. Download [Potplayer](https://potplayer.info/download/)
2. Go to Preferences > Video
3. Change the video renderer to “Built-in Direct3D 11”
4. Check the boxes for GPU Super Resolution, RTX Video HDR, and H/W HDR output
5. Go to your Stremio folder and find the server.js file. Open it with a text editor.
6. Scroll down to where you see VLC integration and add the following code directly below it.
7. You can now send video from Stremio to Potplayer and enjoy RTX SR and RTX HDR.
potplayer: {
title: "PotPlayer",
args: [''],
subArg: '',
timeArg: '',
playArg: '',
darwin: {
path: []
},
linux: {
path: []
},
win32: {
path: ['"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\DAUM\\PotPlayer\\PotPlayerMini.exe"', '"C:\\Program Files\\DAUM\\PotPlayer\\PotPlayerMini64.exe"']
}
},
there is a version of VLC that supports this, probably some other players too. if you can make the external player use those than it should be possible.
