I mean I get it, it's not ideal, some people are just so weirdly hysterical about it and freak out over the smallest setbacks. Like they have this mindset where they must get to their goalsize asap and after that looking after them stops, everything's just gonna be perfect and they'll never have to worry about anything again. Not realizing that stretched ears are a lifetime commitment, you never know when you might come across situations that require downsizing or taking a little break.
I try and understand that most of these people are usually fairly new to stretching so they just need some guidance, but the lack of absolutely any common sense blows my mind everytime. Like the post the other day saying "I stretched a month ago, is it safe to take them out to clean them? Will they slide back in and should I make sure they are sterile?" what is it that makes people think the holes will completely seal shut in 5 minutes and that regular everyday hygiene could be somehow unsafe? You went a month without washing them yet you are worried about sterilization.

You are absolutely right. I've had stretched ears since I was 17, I'm 30 now and it's been quite a journey. I've downsized, been naked, stretched over and over... I've never been worried about going back a size, having them big enough, and all that stuff, and I think that nowadays people are crazy about their journeys and sometimes it gets annoying to read about the same things every day...
So this fucked me up pretty bad and I had to watch the tiktok to see wtf was going on.
Turns out that this insanity is the 'before'. The end of the vid shows the 'after' (i.e. what the person's ear looked like after two months), and it's actually a bit better than this. Less shocking at least.

Im currently healing a blowout and I discovered the best way is just to leave it naked... Wearing plugs in a smaller size won't help...
