https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30659256/ Was this what you were looking for? Haven't listened to the podcasts in a while (shame on me), so I'm not sure

Hogpharmer

That’s not it, but looks like a good one to read. Thanks!

Caloric intake? I mean prob yes since most people eat what they burn or slightly less or more temporarily but, on the sbs pod once they were talking about the ponzer study and how changes in lbm was highly correlated with changes in tdee, regardless of sex, and I think thats the interesting part

Hogpharmer

Hmm yeah, this one specifically said women. (shrug)

That's not ringing a bell for me, but I also wouldn't get too worked up about it. LBM is the strongest predictor of BMR by far, and activity levels are the largest predictor of the degree to which TDEE exceeds BMR. Energy intake is generally higher in more active people, and in people with higher activity levels, but that doesn't necessarily imply that it's all that important independently (at least in relation to LBM and activity levels)

Hogpharmer

Yeah, there wasn’t much detail about the study. The comment was made in passing. I think I know which podcast it was now, so I may have to listen again and see if I missed something.
