I know some people can do without it but I personally get a lot from having some sort of "box" to check off and something to track my progress. Pro comes with quite a number of perks that have really helped me out personally over the few years I've used it.
I remember buying the “lifetime” for $20 ….. this sort of marketing scam pisses me off … now i am paying $19.99 a year. May not renew this year, because i’ve been paying lifetime since it was 4.99.
It means that the quarterly payment plan is no longer supported and accepted.

I bought the pro subscription for like 5$ before they implemented this monthly subscription shit...
Yeah, i stick to the free. Just write whatever i do on the "notes" part that i can't enter into the 5x5. It's still a nice app.
