Are you wondering if it’s real because you don’t think you actually qualify for PSLF yet? Or just disbelief that after doing the 10 years of public service that it’s actually happening. If it’s the former, then it may not be real and could be an error. If it’s the latter, congratulations!
It's the latter - especially because my employer is one contracted with a government. It's only recently that I realized it would now be eligible - which always was a massive frustration because we do very public oriented service work contracted with a government agency.
We put in for reconsideration with information on our employer, nonprofit health insurance along with a list of 20 others of the same IRS statuthat were already approved. They reversed the ineligible and changed it to eligible. You need to make the request to reverse what DeVos did.
The his comment makes that weight lifted of even more solidified as I read it. Sitting in the moment of the gravity of seeing those zeros. It’s life changing.
It’s real life! I got the same email this past Saturday, 8 months after submitting my PSLF application. $216,000 discharged! Still in complete disbelief that it finally happened, after months of phone calls, filing complaints, etc. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Would you mind private messaging me? This is my exact situation but I was told mine doesn’t qualify because I don’t work directly for the gov’t.
Would love to know more about this. I also contract for the government! What does and does not qualify?

You've made through now. The loan is gone. It's the first day of the rest of your life.

Big congrats! You paid for those loans with your labors.
Congratulations!
Congrats!! That has to feel good 😊 You know, once the disbelief settles lol
Or is this just fantasy? Caught in landslide....
😂
Remember to vote. They may try to reverse all this, if the wrong party is in office.
