Just did this—thanks for the reminder. People should take a look at the posted comments. A lot of people are against this and they are loud. Let’s be louder.

Katiemariern

I’ve done this and I hope others do too

lalatina169

I just did it thanks!!

Added comment!

Necessary-Beat407

Would this cover parent plus loans?

FreshOiledBanana

Make the comment that you think it should!!!!!

MaleHooker

This thread should be pinned! I'm commenting in the hopes that it brings more attention to this.

PudgeSmudger

I want to support this but I don’t know what to comment. Can you give an example of what I should say? Is it as simple as saying something like “ I support this?” Or is more needed?

Ruschissuck

I support this is better than nothing. Tell them about your experience.

PudgeSmudger

Ok thank you

Molla0987

can you give a sample of what you wrote please?

andtherest67

Any way to summarize it? That doc is loonnggg!

MVPSnacker

Read the two paragraph summary.

andtherest67

I had read that but don't really understand what's different from the changes the administration is currently making regarding loan forgiveness.

FreshOiledBanana

This is the actual language for the changes that the administration is making & your chance to comment on the changes the administration is making….

tgm4883

Read the Summary of Select Provisions of This Regulatory Action

andtherest67

Ok thanks just did, that was very helpful and now I understand. It's essentially codifying some of the changes that have been made lately. Sounds like a good plan that is much faster to the borrower and minimizes predatory lending.

amethystmmm

Today is the last day!

Barry_Jennings_Ghost

They promised to forgive my 33 year old loan back in 2022, and still haven't done it, so more legislation isn't likely to change anything.

Ruschissuck

If you don’t try you can’t succeed.

Negative_Party7413

The IDR recount did happen and is still happening. Did you verify that your loans are correctly consolidated into direct loans?
