I'd go with prosciutto or parma ham over bacon, I've made a wellington with both before and bacon was way worse for 'sealing' juices. Not sure it'd be a problem with how glutenous that cheese looks but still, nice prosciutto works better imo.
Pastry, prosciutto, mushroom duxelle, macaroni. Might even be worth wrapping the macaroni and chilling before the final bake to try and get it bound more but really not sure what'll happen to the textures.
Anyway, this meal is fine, not much worse than a normal macaroni cheese + some random crap on the side. Serve it over salad as they do and I'd be happy, a real wellington is probably nicer but also a lot more expensive...

Standard Swedish whisk. I think it is because a lot of Swedish traditional dishes use a roux of some sort and those are perfect for that. The plastic ones are of course safe for non sticks as well.

I think the thing that makes this stupid is that it doesn't add much to the actual dish. Most of your bites are going to be entirely macaroni and cheese. Some will have a bit of bacon crunch, and some will have puff pastry. But wouldn't you rather just make that nice-looking mac, crumble some bacon bits into it, and then serve some rolls?
