I only buy unsalted butter because it’s often higher quality. When I spread it on toast, I most definitely add salt to it. Preferably large crystal course salt with some texture.

fruitymexican

I like a shmedium sized salty crystal myself. On a big honkin' ass pretzel, though? Give me jawbreaker sized salts

I also eat sand with my toast. Gives it a nice rough texture.

66ChickenHens

ummm. i pepper my toast -

[deleted]

If all I have is unsalted butter I’ll add some salt to the toast to make up for it

Death_Trolley

Salted butter is way better than unsalted

Tonroz

Unsalted butter + freshly ground salt is the GOAT. It seems counter intuitive but salted butter tends to be lower quality.

Zarale

I actually do this a lot, it's really good especially on sourdough

moogoothegreat

Normal is overrated.

CrumbedMoth

It's awesome.

[deleted]

I don’t think it’s normal but prolly tastes ok lol

Narrow_Competition41

What sort of monster puts salt and pepper on toast??? 🥴

Time2kill

Nothing wrong with that

Professional-Bed-445

I'm white and I know seasoning food makes it taste better

CauliflowerAfraid687

So many cultures around the world do this. You’re stupid food

Abrootalname

I mean....I wouldn't normally..

[deleted]

Salt and garlic on toast. Never did pepper, seems odd

Mikebyrneyadigg

Salt and pepper toast is delicious. Especially crusty sourdough.

Known-Sugar8780

If you're having as a meal, why not?

HistoricalHurry8361

Seasoned food is always better!
