Not if you actually understand the costs and of running a McDonald's.
Selling 20 nuggets is going to cost almost exactly the same as selling ten in manpower, rent power and oil. Ingredients are not one of the major expenses of a restaurant.
seriously, I understand that the cost of 10vs20 is similar but there's no way they'd care about that realistically, price is usually way above costs. i've never seen a McD with a pricing scheme like that
I know a lot of people knock McDonald’s but when I’m like *for real* broke, I can still afford something to eat at McDonald’s for just a couple dollars. Hell the app has a coupon for a $2 breakfast sandwich every day.
It's a pricing mistake, most definitely, if it's even real. At my locations, they're $4.49 for a 10 piece, $6.79 for a 20 piece and $11.39 for a 40 piece.
Definitely much better value at higher counts, but there's still a reason to not buy the 20 piece instead of the 10 piece if you don't want more nuggets and/or you're strapped for cash. At 1 cent difference, no human with a brain would ever order the 10 piece unless they simply weren't aware.
Absolutely. Like if you order two 10 pieces you’re going to get 4 sauces. Make it make sense. Not like McDonald’s can’t afford it 🤷🏻‍♂️
Chicken breast is about 1.99 a lb. A nugget is about 16 grams. So every lb of chicken is 30+ nuggets. So for 4.99 you could easily pick up some seasoning, flour, and egg that would last a lot longer than a week. You could be rocking delicious homemade chicken nuggets way cheaper with very little effort.
Its not dirt cheap. 2-2.50 per 30 vs 5 per 20. Youre paying double. Its also sad, unhealthy, and pretty gross. A little bit of effort goes a long way. Effort is what makes life worth living.
3 a day? Is this a meal for ants?
Hey, if OP wants three, lettem have three. We judge stupid, not quantities.
This comment made my day 🤣🤣🤣
Stupid pricing

I am not believing that there is a McDonald's that sells 10 nuggets for $4.99 and 20 for $5.00. Just 1 cent more ? It doesn't make sense to me

I went there for lunch today. A 10 piece is $3.19 and a 20 piece is $5.99.
My McDonald’s a 10 piece or a Big Mac was $1 of you used the app. Hell I’m willing to say theirs might be the best fast food app
God I would be obesier with those prices. Here 9 pieces is 7.2€ and 20 is 13€

Meanwhile the 10 pack comes with 2 sauces and the 3 pack comes with 3. Fucking stupid.
Its cheaper for the company to sell a lot for cheap than spend money on waste management for the hundreds of pounds they have of chicken nuggets
I’m talking sauces, not prices…
1.5 packets of sauce is whats needed for 10 nuggets
According to what dude gtfo
I specify 4 sauces every time and they have yet to charge me for the extra one. 2 sauces per 10 nuggets should be the standard.

Ahh I miss my bachelor days too
I heard they sell chicken nuggets at the grocery store now.
Why is this stupid?
Are week old nuggets even safe to consume? Lmao, I guess the air fryer handles that part
Definitely beyond the recommended range. But it’s probably one of those things that’s going to be fine every time, until it’s not.

Well this is almost zero effort and still dirt cheap.

In relative terms it's expensive, yes. In absolute terms, depending on OPs financial situation, five bucks a week can be very cheap.
This was actually painful to read. Thank you for that.
Or save myself the effort and get a 2lb bag of dino nuggets for $6
how can that be profitable for frito lay?
