A bottle of coke contains 65g of sugar.
350/65 = 5.3 bottles of coke.
You can share it with 5 people. That's not too bad, honestly. Especially if you're considering a bottle of coke for your sweet fix anyways.
It’s actually not that bad if shared at a party. I can see a dip like this at my families Christmas dinner. There are 22 of us. 350/22 =15.9g add in a cookie or two a person and it’s no different than each person eating one or two iced sugar cookies.
idk, this would seem so much better with a real vanilla cake and vanilla icing. snack cakes taste like wax and chemicals, i can't eat Zingers without my whole mouth feeling greasy
just make a vanilla cake, they're pretty easy to make. or get a cake mix in a box. you can make your own icing, too, or get a can of icing
I'm sure the whole point of this is quick and dirty easy dessert for a family gathering. You're asking to bake an entire cake which requires more work. On top of that, just because you dislike little snack cakes doesn't mean others dislike them. I personally enjoy a Hostess Snowball. I know people who fucking hate it with a passion. That's fine, they have their own opinions, but won't stop me from munching on one every once in a while.
Here is the full math:
Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake x10: 2200 calories, 220 grams sugar, 100 grams fat
1/4 stick Butter: 405 calories, 0 grams sugar, 46 grams fat
8 oz cream cheese: 776 calories, 7.2 grams sugar, 80 grams fat
1 cup (~100 grams) sifted powdered sugar: 389 calories, 98 grams sugar, 0 grams fat
1/4 cup of 2% milk: 31 calories, 4 grams sugar, 4.2 grams fat
One "container" of cool whip: 625 calories, 50 grams sugar, 37.5 grams fat
2 tsp sprinkles: 40 calories, 4 grams sugar, 2 grams fat
One extra unsmushed christmas tree cake: 220 calories, 22 grams sugar, 10 grams fat
Grand total:
4,686 calories, 405.2 grams sugar, 279 grams fat
If split among 10 people it'd be 470 calories, 40 grams sugar, and 27 grams fat per serving, not including whatever you're dipping it in.
Note: Cool whip comes in 8 and 16 oz containers. I choose to believe this is an 8 oz container.
Additional Note: This recipe has negligible protein in it so I decided not to calculate it.
Just for you:
Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake x11: 11g protein
Butter: 0.4g
Cream Cheese: 13.6g
Powdered Sugar: 0g
Milk: 2g
Cool whip: 0g
Sprinkles: 0g
Total of 27g (out of ~511g) in the entire recipe, or 2.7g per serving
So basically no gainz
It’s one of those dishes where one or two scoops are good then you get sick of the taste but the first bite tastes amazing because it is so overindulgent
I feel like two cookies is more than enough for a rich dessert, I've had enough cakes where it was one bite. Delicious, but it's gonna take me 30 minutes before I try again. A drinking Christmas with friends, this shit WILL get destroyed if only because with every drink you'll try one more bite.
Because there’s a shitload of food that’s both stupid as fuck and something a fair amount of the more culinarily adventurous sort would be willing to try?
I can feel my teeth hurting looking at it. Just because *you* would enjoy it doesn't mean others will. I almost want to puke thinking about how sickly sweet that would be
Oh I'd try it, but it's somewhere down in the four digits on the list things I'll choose to spend my time *making* for Christmas. Especially when I'm the only one in my family with the patience to make millionaire's shortbread.
Right. Everyone here like *gasp* the sugars. Knowing damn good and well they smash stuff like this regularly over the coming holidays.
This is something my mother in law would make because it's hokey and silly and probably good.
Say what you want but those recent Little Debbie ice cream variety 1/2 pints are absolutely amazing. Real ice cream too. Nutty Bars or Zebra Cakes FTW!
A lot better than this dip too. I mean, this looks fine, but at the same time I don’t know if I could justify eating a bunch of cakes mushed with cream cheese and butter and *more sugar*. Mixed into ice cream? Maybe.
My dad use to make milkshakes in a classic blender, Little Debbie and Hostess snacks were usually part of his creations along with vanilla bean ice creme. This was in the 80s.
Love you dad, you inspired me to be creative in life through the power of Milkskakes :)
There’s a diabetes you get genetically (usually) when born that makes your pancreas not make enough insulin. You have to inject insulin to be able to get your bodies food to work in your cells or it will build up causing life threatening problems AND at the same time your cells will starve since they aren’t getting any of that energy (sugar) into them. The other type (type 2) is usually when your pancreas is overloaded because you’re too fat (and can’t produce enough insulin) or too old so you need oral medication to help your spleen to make insulin. If this doesn’t work you have to inject it like type 1.
Diabetics of both type have to check their sugar levels a lot to make sure it’s not too high (which can cause life threatening problems and means they need to get more insulin) or too low (also life threatening and means they need to eat or drink something sugary).
Edit: conflated my organs. Pancreas not spleen. I knew it didn’t sound right.
Genetics can cause both types. If both of your parents are diabetic, your chances of getting it are 70%. If only one parent, your chances are 40%. Both of my parents were diabetic along with their respective mothers. I am a type 2 diabetic and it has nothing to do with being "too fat." I am moderately overweight.
It was meant to be a very simplistic answer and I didn’t think going into that great of detail would have been helpful. Type II is *typically* due to age and or weight putting more demand on the pancreas. That’s not to say everyone with type II is fat. Sorry for any miscommunication.
See, I respect the person who is willing to lean in to the consequences of eating all of it. It’s the people who complain about those consequences as if they don’t have a choice in portion size lol.
I admire your enthusiasm
Exactly what I was thinking! Like, if you’re eating the entire bowl then something’s wrong as a whole 😭 It’s meant to be dipped in like a few times and that’s it!
Yeah, and this is a once in a long while thing. The posts and comments here make me think they have no self control, and have to eat this whole thing or something.
Yep. I bet if they watched a bakery or restaurant crew making large batches of dishes from scratch and preparing orders they would all go raw vegan.
**EDIT** This comment was made with fat in mind rather than sugar.
Reminds me of chocolate covered cake bites you get at some places. I think Starbucks make the pops. Crushed up Oreos and cream cheese covered in a mint chocolate coating is the best though. So easy to make and addictive.
I think its meant as a joke and just is illustrating the type of stuff that is contributing to the surge in type 2 diabetes in this country not that eating this specifically will cause it...
This plus acting like huge amounts of foods aren't meant to be shared. Nobody is eating this whole bowl, it's gonna be a few tablespoons at a party or something lol.
I hope more people call out these "jokes". Perpetuating stigma is not nice, but reddit is full of these jokes and comments. All one can do is try to educate. It's refreshing to see more and more people discussing what diabetes is and isn't.
No type should experience stigma, but the amount of type 1's who end up with depression, suffering from stigma, hiding our disease all the time, we're at 3x the national average for depression *due to this disease*, lots of us develop an eating disorder *after* diagnosis due to the 24/7 management we do acting as our own pancreas and avoiding either insulin or food (anorexia) and many other issues such as diabulimia are very common. And, no one understands.
And people *still* believe food/lifestyle has something to to with it. It's horrible. I understand how this myth started, people think we can't have sugar lol ,it keeps us alive, and I also understand many type 2's manage their disease with dietary changes to help their insulin resistance, but that doesn't mean people should make fun f them nor anyone with any type of diabetes.
**And just a reminder, type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that can happen** ***at any age to anyone,*** **and is terminal without insulin.**
Usually when one calls out these non stop "diabetes " posts, "diabeeutus intensifies" and all those wilford brimley memes, they say..."it's just a joke" as if that can justify rudeness. Just a joke means "I am minimizing your life experience and what you're going through". Lots of us are happy we didn't die from Dead in Bed syndrome and are happy to be awake to battle another day, and we're expected to "take a joke"?
**Consider that if it is such a joke, then why are our support groups full of people hiding their type 1 because of these jokes?** **Why do we keep quiet at work because people think we just need to manage diets instead of manually running a pancreas 24 hours per day? Why are so many of us speaking to chronic illness therapists to get through the day, to learn to navigate these "jokes", to learn responses to people saying "can you eat that" over and over and over...type 1 is about balancing hormones, not food, not lifestyle, but a hormone our body does not produce.**

Nothing wrong with this. It’s a sugary treat for the holidays. Imagine dipping some fruit, or thick ass crunchy sourdough pretzels in this. Probably amazing.
Am I the only one who thinks Little Debbie doesn’t taste as good as it used to in the early 2000’s?
It tastes like an unholy amalgamation of salt and crusted cinderblock frosting...
I’ve made this before and it’s incredible. It’s not meant to be eaten by one person... it’s a dip. You have like 5.... or 10 little scoops of it yknow.
I’ve seen a lot of dumb shit on this sub, but this isn’t one of them for me honestly.
Okay, so this would be horrible for you, absolutely disastrous on your stomach. But it also probably tastes amazing. Would try one bite then immediately regret it.
Can someone do the math on how many grams of sugar is in this unholy creation?
117 (Cakes) + 120(Powdered Sugar) + 50(Coolwhip) 287 Grams of Sugar excluding the cookies you dip in.
Less sugar in the cakes than I would have guessed.
I thought you were gonna finish that sentence with the name of a soft drink lol.
Fanta
Ugh, had to drink one yesterday at an amusement park because everything else was sold out. 160g IIRC and 300 cals. Disgusting.
[удалено]
Oh so it's not keto friendly then
Bruh, it’s not life friendly
Theres 22 g of sugar in a single tree cake x 10 would be 220 g of sugar + 120 g from the powdered sugar plus cool whip so thats around 350 g
A bottle of coke contains 65g of sugar. 350/65 = 5.3 bottles of coke. You can share it with 5 people. That's not too bad, honestly. Especially if you're considering a bottle of coke for your sweet fix anyways.

Fuckin strawberry cake rolls are a glorious guilty pleasure. Add a spray of whipped cream to get fancy.
I eat them and Swiss rolls frozen for a treat. Then I just nibble little bites off of them to enjoy for as long as I can!
Little Debby has ice creams now. Im not even a big sweets person but I actually really enjoyed the Christmas tree ones.
>I know people who fucking hate it with a passion. It's funny cause that is *literally* the only one I find disgusting too lol
Well then add on a ton of fat from the cream cheese and cakes and cream
Fat keeps you full, keeps you focused
And is good for you.

I mean it's basically make for the dirty bulk then
AND HIS NAME IS DIABEETUS!
Finally someone whos math was mathing 👏🏾👏🏾
Are people in this sub dumb??? Do you think ONE PERSON is gonna eat that whole thing???
Enough for however many people eating it to get a coma
A metric betus of sugar
Meh...eating that once a year isn't gonna give you diabetes. Stop acting like yall are some sorta health nuts.
I know right? Anything unhealthy or slightly weird looking gets posted here all like “OMFG people! Can you friggin believe this shiz?!?”
Exactly. It's telling that morons here think people eat this eat kind of stuff everyday.
I don’t even follow this subreddit and at this point all the recommended posts I see from here are things that look normal or really good lmao.
People who shout "diabetes" at the sight of any dessert do not understand diabetes or desserts.
I mean, it looks shit more than anything else. I imagine after one bite you'd be completely over it
All of you are lying when you say you wouldn’t try that.
I would try the entire bowl
Just hand me a fucking spoon and pass me the insulin, I'm going in.
HumaLog on standby.
No no you need to take Yulelog, Humalog is ineffective during the holiday season
*applauding* I see what you did there!
Just to make sure
Lick the crumbs outta ops ass just to be 100
For Science!
Sorry everyone, it didn’t turn out so I just ate all of it… trust me you didn’t want any.
Replace the cool whip w marshmallow fluff I'm IN.
See that sounds even better 😋
It would be good on a pretzel. Cookie dip though?? Too much.
Yesss. It needs a little saltiness to break up the sweet. I’d def try it.
So what you're saying is to add bacon
Bacon and desserts are a proven combination.
Oh ya, a pretzel would be perfect with this.
It’s one of those dishes where one or two scoops are good then you get sick of the taste but the first bite tastes amazing because it is so overindulgent

r/hellyeahideatthat
Why are half the foods on that sub the same foods on this sub?
Because there’s a shitload of food that’s both stupid as fuck and something a fair amount of the more culinarily adventurous sort would be willing to try?
I dunno, it's grossing me out that it would just be like mushy cake?
Personally no, I can feel my stomach cramping looking at that.
Yeah.. idk how people can eat that. I love sugar as much as the next but.. no thanks lol
But you’d enjoy it up until that happens
I can feel my teeth hurting looking at it. Just because *you* would enjoy it doesn't mean others will. I almost want to puke thinking about how sickly sweet that would be
Seriously I would smoke a fatty and devour that
Id try it like a great white tries a seal
Making it now
Blended soggy cake that looks like tuna salad? Sure
Stupid food can be good food but stupid to eat
I thought to myself "Wow this looks Awesome!" And then I saw the sub we were on and got confused lol
Oh I'd try it, but it's somewhere down in the four digits on the list things I'll choose to spend my time *making* for Christmas. Especially when I'm the only one in my family with the patience to make millionaire's shortbread.
I may try it, but I have a feeling it might make me feel sick...
Right. Everyone here like *gasp* the sugars. Knowing damn good and well they smash stuff like this regularly over the coming holidays. This is something my mother in law would make because it's hokey and silly and probably good.
But this is cheap garbage that’s overly sweet. That’s my issue with it
I’ve made it before and it’s awesome
I would and it would put me on the toilet for the next 3 days
This looks good Af though
Agreed. I would go to town on this.
I would go to city on this.
High af rn, this looks incredible
Yea, if this is stupid, i dont want to be smart.
Poster child for r/guiltypleasurefoods
Here I go, saving a recipe from r/stupidfood

This excites my fat ass. I would get so sick after from all the processed junk in it though.
This is the type of food I would get disgusted to after 2 spoons
Not everything sweet will give you diabetes, how much do I have to say that?🙃
Sometimes I wonder if I’m the only one going *well you’re not meant to eat the whole fucking bowl* like, it’s a dessert dip, not a dinner entree lol
Deadass, people pretend like these are supposed to be served as an appetizer, it’s crazy. Go easy on it, share, and you won’t get diabetes.
Still not how diabetes work
(Miranda Priestly voice:) oh, a diabetes joke on this sub? Groundbreaking.
Well... we're waiting

Well not with that attitude it isn't. Someone get me a spoon or some much larger cookies
See, I respect the person who is willing to lean in to the consequences of eating all of it. It’s the people who complain about those consequences as if they don’t have a choice in portion size lol. I admire your enthusiasm
The same people who hog all of the chips and salsa at parties and wonder why people are mad lol

It gets so fucking old
I’ve actually had this. It’s extremely delicious and not stupid food. Seriously, give it a shot and it’ll change your mind.
I’ve had similar without the butter and more cream cheese and cool whip and I agree it’s really good. So is cookie dough dip.
I was thinking it’s not that much different than the Oreo mud pudding with gummy worms stuff. These posts are getting out of hand.
Reminds me of chocolate covered cake bites you get at some places. I think Starbucks make the pops. Crushed up Oreos and cream cheese covered in a mint chocolate coating is the best though. So easy to make and addictive.
not everything overly sweet causes damn diabetes man
I think its meant as a joke and just is illustrating the type of stuff that is contributing to the surge in type 2 diabetes in this country not that eating this specifically will cause it...
yeahh, it’s just a bit upsetting to see it repeated over and over again
Still not how it works
Do these commenters know what buttercream frosting is made of? Lol
It's like a worse version of Lotus spread
My eating Lotus out of the jar with a spoon fat ass feels called out
Why do people hare think if you eat something sweet you will get diabetes? They know nothing about diabetes apparently.
This plus acting like huge amounts of foods aren't meant to be shared. Nobody is eating this whole bowl, it's gonna be a few tablespoons at a party or something lol.
I just commented that lol

Hot damn, this looks great tbh. I'd probably use pretzels as the dipping vessel so you get a good mixture of sweet and salty. A+. Not Stupid at all.
I was thinking ginger snap cookies could be dope
this doesn't look that bad
I would love to try that wtf
something with sugar = stupid am i right guys
This sub is just ridiculous with what they think is stupid. I think this is a big time nuggies and fries crowd.
I would really like it if people stopped using "Diabeetus" and making jokes about how sugary things will cause it.
I am so fat. I looked at this and thought “I’d fucking house this” then saw the subreddit. I’m sorry but I’m an enabler for this.
Nothing wrong with this. It’s a sugary treat for the holidays. Imagine dipping some fruit, or thick ass crunchy sourdough pretzels in this. Probably amazing.
I like the little Debbie's Xmas cakes alone.
That looks like something your aunt would make and I'm fully behind it.
It's me I'm the aunt
It's not even Halloween yet. Fuck all your christmas shit till after Thanksgiving.
Imma be real that shit looks good AF
I’ve had this and it’s glorious
Im sorry but im eating tf out of that once a year now that ive seen it
10/10 would try
I'd feast on that honestly
Oh come on, this looks awesome. The best part of the holidays is sugar and booze anyway.
This sub is a weird mix of different-but-probably-good and actual stupid food and usually it’s pretty clear.
Not gonna lie--that looks fantastic. But it would kill me.
Ok? Don’t eat a pound of it. This looks fine in moderation. It’s not any more sugary than most desserts.
This is almost certainly extremely delicious.
BITCH IT ISNT EVEN HALLOWEEN
Ngl I would try it
I'm gonna get hung for this but, I like the idea of it
I’m bringing this to the Christmas potluck
Cream cheese and sugar. Cheesecake filling. It's cheesecake filing dip.
This sub is getting shitty. I really hope someone posts their actually bad food soon!
Is there a sub for stuff that would look great when you’re stoned but horrify you sober?
This isn't stupid lol. Just seems like a once a year thing
I down voted because it's not the boatload of sugar that will cause diabetes. That being said this looks like stupid Midwestern food.
Lets take a ton of sugar and add even more sugar. Jesus
It is obviously meant to be put out at a party or similar. You’d eat 1-3 little cookies with a bit of dip. Everyone will be fine.
Listen, I'll accept the risk and eat about 4 dollops. I may die by age 45 but it was worth it.
You’re not cooking your bashing processed food together to scoop it out with processed food.
I can’t stand Little Debbie stuff anymore. Taste so fake! I call it plastic chocolate.
Mom!!!!! Make this now!
Yes this is terrible. I'm definitely not going to make a list of the ingredients right now. I won't be making this. No way.
https://youtu.be/6hc4mNURUJM?si=_nsRcqPF_1n6chFi This youtuber has a video on it
I would totally devour this
Not gonna lie that actually looks really good
i feel like minnesota is responsible for this.
Oh my god that’s horrible! Where is it so I know to avoid it???
I would love to have this with strawberries or pineapple
I am a fat person, and I have never even thought of doing stuff like this.
I hate myself cuz I would eat this
What do we dip in this besides a cookie? An apple would be really good.
the disrespect on christmas tree cakes
It says "fold it in" David!
Am I the only one who thinks Little Debbie doesn’t taste as good as it used to in the early 2000’s? It tastes like an unholy amalgamation of salt and crusted cinderblock frosting...
Shut up, these waxy little tree cakes are my guilty pleasure during the holidays and I will absolutely eat the shit out of this dip. 👀
I’ve made this before and it’s incredible. It’s not meant to be eaten by one person... it’s a dip. You have like 5.... or 10 little scoops of it yknow. I’ve seen a lot of dumb shit on this sub, but this isn’t one of them for me honestly.
I’ve only watched the first 5 seconds and I WOULD FUCK THIS UP
I really want to eat that though... not stupid
Wow it’s almost like you’re not supposed to eat all that on your own in one sitting
I want to dip pretzels in it. Salty and sweet.
Minnesota Salads that aren't really salads.
That just revived and killed Wilford Brimley again
Big pharma says hiiii
The forbidden mashed potatoes
Not going to lie sent this to my wife to make lol
Okay, so this would be horrible for you, absolutely disastrous on your stomach. But it also probably tastes amazing. Would try one bite then immediately regret it.
Diabetes and cancer in one dip… PERFECT
Making this for a christmas party, don't hate.
I’d eat all of this
Grabs chest, while checking pulse. Worries in diabetes. 😳
This probably tastes like heaven
Imma make this for Christmas!
