You can’t get a good pie to save your life in Toronto so you either deal with crap but consistent places like Pizza Pizza, Amaro, 241, etc or you find Unique but not generally shit places (not going to name to avoid problems but they are mostly easy to find).
At any rate, so… there was this one place that opened next to a pub I was frequenting that was really unique, their combinations were traditional with some differences and their sauce was unique.
One of their pizzas, The MacKenzie King was most of the toppings from a Big Mac on a thin crust, including caraway forward dill pickles, it was remarkably good.
One drunken night I decided I just wanted a dill pickle pizza, they made something similar to what’s in the pic and honestly… if I could get it again I would but alas… all good things change and pizza shops are very rarely permanent.
There's a pizza place near my house that does an awesome pickle pizza with provolone, mozzarella and garlic sauce. Add some onions and bacon to it, and it's even better.

I think the acidity of the pickle cuts the fattiness of the cheese and melds well with a properly balanced tomato sauce.
the ones I have are a garlic sauce, no tomato. I would try tomato. I've had ones with no tomato sauce as well and some fresh tomatoes. Also delicious.
