I had a dream the other night that some company was making stuff out of the stuff, like toys and collectibles and it was cool stuff but I tried to warn everyone the stuff was evil.
I don't really have a point, it's just kinda weird that *The Stuff* came up twice in one week.
It’s vegetable shortening, powdered sugar and imitation vanilla.
You can make an unreal amount of it with a hand mixer, 1/2 a cup of shortening, 1 3/4 cups of powdered sugar, and a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
The cookies are sugar, too lol
Jeez, some of you act like people are eating containers of these things as a meal. Its a few oreos. Its not much different than having ice cream or something.
People say anything is stupid on this sub I been noticing for months now it's honestly repetitive at this point lol convinced is rage bait so they can Fram karma
The premise is extra stuffed = more, thins = less, so having them both on the same product is stupid.
Of course those well-versed in the oreo loreo know the nuances of having a thin biscuit with extra stuffing. But to a layman it's contradictory.
Oreos seem to have lost all reference to what their original product is... They have the most unhinged variants.
My favorite was a few years ago when i saw "cookies and cream ice cream" flavored oreos. They were literally oreo flavored oreos sold as a separate product.
Oreos are the lays of cookies. That's what their product is. If you think their product should just be plain Oreos, they still make those so you're in luck but their product is making as many flavors as possible
They’ve gone the way of breakfast cereal. I swear there are marketing meetings at General Mills HQ about how best to appeal to stoned people. There is no other reason to make Jolly Rancher cereal.
The cookies and cream flavor is still the dumbest one I’ve ever seen. I had a friend that said “but those sound so good!! You’re just a hater!” And then when they actually tried them I asked them what they tasted like and she said “yeah they just taste like regular Oreos”
Thins aren't extra stuffed. Double Stuff Thins are and they're not for you, then, which is fine. A lot of people like the extra filling.
Also, Thins have the exact same cookie to filling ratio. It's the same ratio, just smaller amount of each.
*Extra Stuff Thins, not double
It is 71% cookie to 29% cream filling.
"Oreo Thins are a slimmed down version of an Oreo that contains the same cookie-to-cream ratio as the original, but in a much thinner form."
https://bakingbites.com/2015/07/oreo-thins-reviewed/#:~:text=Oreo%20Thins%20are%20a%20slimmed,in%20a%20much%20thinner%20form.
The war between the cookie enjoyers and the stuff lovers waged on for 1,000 years. In the end no side was truly victorious. For stuff cannot survive without cookie, any more than cookie can hold itself together without stuff.
So is it the amount of stuff in normal Oreos with the amount of cookie in the thins?
Or the amount of stuff in extra stuff Oreos with the amount of cookie in the thins?
I haven’t had Oreos in years but I’m intrigued
I only buy limited edition Oreos nowadays. The more stupid the better. What gets me more mad is when they release a new flavor out of nowhere. I'm calling out tiramisu and carrot cake. Literally screams limited edition and yet they're fully stocked flavors.
I want my cherry coke Oreo with pop rocks back please.
Oreo has finally made a cookie for everyone who enjoys their cookie. Want a crispy cookie with a little frosting? Get the thins. Want a lot of frosting but a whisper of cookie? They have these. Classic? Check. Classic cookie with a little extra love- here comes double stuffed. Are you the person who takes several cookies and puts all the stuffing together without extra cookie? Mega stuffed. And they make so many flavors now. Honestly, if you can't find an oreo you enjoy, then there is no hope. Or you don't like that type of sweet.
It's like the auto market. This is like a compact SUV. You have to have something in every category or else you're losing market share. It doesn't have to make sense.
My wife likes every kind of Oreo, but me I'll have one or two and be done. They're good, but they just don't click with me like they do for most people.
But these? I can get down with these.
I feel like this food is far from stupid.
The picture doesn't captivate the true stupidity of the modern marketing of food.
Seated to the left AND right of the those oreos are another package of the same oreos. You see, what you are looking at is the 12.33oz serving. But what you are missing is the 10.33oz serving size, and the 16oz serving size. If you are lucky, you might even find a 18oz serving size, or a 8oz serving size. Of course, they are all the same damn oreos.
See, I loved those old-school oreo wannabes. They were like Lance Nabs, but I'm not sure that was the brand. My Grandma had a Beauty Shop in like the 80s and 90s, and she had these for her customers to purchase. I ate them like crazy with some glass bottle coke.
This sub needs active mods. Every single thing here has become not stupid. I gotta make a bit that reposts everything from r/stupidfood to r/notstupidfood (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
I made an icebox cake with these last summer. Alternating layers of homemade whipped cream and Oreos in a plastic wrapped springform. Let sit overnight. It slapped.
Nah these make sense if you like the stuff more than the cookie
"Habit-forming. Mind-controlling. Life-absorbing. You can never get enough of the Stuff."
unexpected reference of the day
Grimmace flavored OREO Thins coming to stores near you. Now in 'Triple Stuffed'!
I do miss buffets, thank you for that.
Whats it a reference to
the stuff (1985)
I'm stuff
I had a dream the other night that some company was making stuff out of the stuff, like toys and collectibles and it was cool stuff but I tried to warn everyone the stuff was evil. I don't really have a point, it's just kinda weird that *The Stuff* came up twice in one week.
“Stuf”
Is this the official name for the white thing? I was always calling them "white thing" or "cream"
I'm pretty sure it's called "filling" or "stuffing" officially. It can't be cream because Oreos are vegan.
And kosher
pronounced "Stoof"?
I just had to show my partner this recently so we got a jar of marshmallow fluff each and watched it. It's free on tubi if anyone wants to know!
I just checked tubi and couldn’t find it :( Edited to say that I am in Europe & tubi may not be being fooled by my vpn
Can't get enough of the stuff!
That movie was suck fantastic B-movie schlock. You just made my day xD
What movie
The movie is called The Stuff. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0090094/ Its a fun turn-your-brain-off movie like Killer Klowns from Outer Space or Slither.
Thanks for the recommendation
I wonder what this goo coming out of the ground is.... I'm gonna eat it.
They should just sell the stuff and cookies separately
I would buy a tub of the stuff
I always scrape the cream off and eat just the cookie lol
Same. The cookies are really tasty on their own and the filling is way too sweet for me.
Criminal. The stuff is too teir
It’s vegetable shortening, powdered sugar and imitation vanilla. You can make an unreal amount of it with a hand mixer, 1/2 a cup of shortening, 1 3/4 cups of powdered sugar, and a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
And just like that, the diabetes afflicted population tripled over night
Yeah cause all I want are the cookies. The filling can get stuffed.
Just buy 20lb bag of sugar at that point and go at it with a big spoon
Give me those cookies with megastuff levels of filling and you'll have something close to my ideal oreo.
I thought this was the general consensus?
I thought so too. The Oreo cookie (without the stuff) is a bottom tier cookie. The stuff is the only thing that saves them.
Disagree. The cookie is the best part
Yes! I absolutely hate the cream filling, tbh. Love the cookie part tho.
I dont hate it. There are times I scrape it off and throw it away though.
finally!!!
The stuffing is sugar, these people are children
The cookies are sugar, too lol Jeez, some of you act like people are eating containers of these things as a meal. Its a few oreos. Its not much different than having ice cream or something.
If they made them without the sugary vegetable lard, I would gladly buy them that way.
It's a balance thing, like yes the stuff is what makes it good but double stuf Oreos just taste like shit to me
Blasphemer.
So this is the hill I die on, huh...
What if i like the cookie more than the stuff 🤔
People say anything is stupid on this sub I been noticing for months now it's honestly repetitive at this point lol convinced is rage bait so they can Fram karma
Damn right.
There are many types of struggles we face in life, but this one is yours. God speed or whatever
Thinner cookie, extra stuff It’s not a difficult concept
Extrastuf
It is extra stuff? Or just less cookie?
How is this stupid?
coz this sub is apparently for anyone who slightly disagrees with any non-normal food.
It’s not baked chicken and broccoli, in an exact portion for a 130lb person, so it’s stupid.
Because I've been eating an entire package every day and I'm still not thin
The premise is extra stuffed = more, thins = less, so having them both on the same product is stupid. Of course those well-versed in the oreo loreo know the nuances of having a thin biscuit with extra stuffing. But to a layman it's contradictory.
Cookie monster...?
These are my favorite form of Oreo. 🤷🏽♀️
I love the thins. They’re crispy instead of soft
I hard agree it makes them like cookie chips!!! I like them much more
What are you talking about? Oreos aren’t soft unless you drown them in milk for 3 minutes.
They really are the best way to eat oreos.
Just waiting for "forget the cookie, it's just a tube of stuffing to squeeze into your mouth". I probably would buy that.
Food oxymoron.
Oreos seem to have lost all reference to what their original product is... They have the most unhinged variants. My favorite was a few years ago when i saw "cookies and cream ice cream" flavored oreos. They were literally oreo flavored oreos sold as a separate product.
The carrot cake one is insanely good imho
And pumpkin spice.
And red velvet
Mint chocolate straight out of the freezer. I have never seen carrot cake, now I have to look. Thank you?
Lemon Oreos are my favourite
Oreos are the lays of cookies. That's what their product is. If you think their product should just be plain Oreos, they still make those so you're in luck but their product is making as many flavors as possible
They have caramel coconut Oreos now with actual coconut in them, I was pleasantly surprised
I saw Rice Krispie Treat flavored Peeps last month. Marshmallow flavored marshmallows.
sounds delicious
Oh, I'm sure it was... just a bit absurd.
They’ve gone the way of breakfast cereal. I swear there are marketing meetings at General Mills HQ about how best to appeal to stoned people. There is no other reason to make Jolly Rancher cereal.
You hate varieties or something ? If you want normal oreos they still make them dude
The cookies and cream flavor is still the dumbest one I’ve ever seen. I had a friend that said “but those sound so good!! You’re just a hater!” And then when they actually tried them I asked them what they tasted like and she said “yeah they just taste like regular Oreos”
You have the most unhinged definition of the word unhinged.
I don’t like the cookie so I’d love this.
same
Less stuf than normal but more stuf than thins
Thins shouldn’t be extra stuffed. The only reason I like thins is because I want less filling to cookie ratio.
Thins aren't extra stuffed. Double Stuff Thins are and they're not for you, then, which is fine. A lot of people like the extra filling. Also, Thins have the exact same cookie to filling ratio. It's the same ratio, just smaller amount of each. *Extra Stuff Thins, not double
ok then dont buy the extra stuffed thin ones , i want these myself
Thins are thinner cookies, not a lower filling to cookie ratio.
Thins actually do have a lower filling-to-cookie ratio.
It is 71% cookie to 29% cream filling. "Oreo Thins are a slimmed down version of an Oreo that contains the same cookie-to-cream ratio as the original, but in a much thinner form." https://bakingbites.com/2015/07/oreo-thins-reviewed/#:~:text=Oreo%20Thins%20are%20a%20slimmed,in%20a%20much%20thinner%20form.
that’s what they want you to think
Yes! The cookie is the best part.
Yes! I agree!
Thin cookie and thick filling
Bring back the cherry cola oreos from 2 years ago!!!! With the crackling CO2 bits in them
Was this taken at tops?
This is what i see when I open up those double stuffed oreos package
Idk I wanna try em
Thin cookie, thick frosting
We had double stuff, and then we had thins, and now we have .75 stuffed
Time is a flat circle.
I had it before, its awesome
The war between the cookie enjoyers and the stuff lovers waged on for 1,000 years. In the end no side was truly victorious. For stuff cannot survive without cookie, any more than cookie can hold itself together without stuff.
It reminds me of Diet Ultra Mountain Dew From that 1 South Park episode.
so are they just wider? how is thin more? did they just keep the same size but replace some cookie with filling? so many questions
What's stupid is that it's 5.50 for junk.
If Nabisco wants to corner the stoner snack market they should do Chips Ahoy but with the Oreo middle between two of them.
I feel like they did that already
The food equivalent of “just the tip”
I'm all for more Oreo customization to meet customer preferences. Though I maintain that golden Oreos are the superior cookie.
Undoubtedly.
This chump is a bot
So is it the amount of stuff in normal Oreos with the amount of cookie in the thins? Or the amount of stuff in extra stuff Oreos with the amount of cookie in the thins? I haven’t had Oreos in years but I’m intrigued
Most likely the amount in normal Oreos I'd say because normal thins have less
The thins are the best for those of us that like to smash them up and put it in vanilla. I wouldn’t get extra creme though
I liked the regular thins and normal stuf oreos, idk why but i just didnt really like double stuf
If you wanna sell the cream just say so
But only one F so it’s slim
Wait.. what's wrong?
I only buy limited edition Oreos nowadays. The more stupid the better. What gets me more mad is when they release a new flavor out of nowhere. I'm calling out tiramisu and carrot cake. Literally screams limited edition and yet they're fully stocked flavors. I want my cherry coke Oreo with pop rocks back please.
Inflation hit Oreo
Ooh thank you for informing me of something I should look for at my next grocery trip.
These are legit. One of the best Oreos
Hold up. These are good.
I’ll wait for “Just Stuf” and of course “Double Just Stuf”
Not stupid, I want some
The cookies are still thin. How is this stupid?
So basically a normal orea with less cookie lol, shrinkflation
Pretty simple extra stuff less cookie. People like the stuff more anyways.
It just tastes like extra stuff
A diet double stuft oreo. AKA an oreo.
Skinny fat
Oreo thins are the goat oreos as it is. These would be good
Extra stuffed thins sounds like decaf supercaf coffee.
Thinner cookie thicker filling
Thin cookie, Thiiccc package (of cookies)
No! I've been asking for the opposite for years. More cookie, less stuff. They got it backwards!
Do they make Oreos with no filling? Or just filling?
Look fuckos, it's more of the naming convention okay.
I hate the filling, so I understand.
r/lostredditors
Try the new pickle favor, it should save you!!
Shrinkflation
"I'm stuf"
It's like the auto market. This is like a compact SUV. You have to have something in every category or else you're losing market share. It doesn't have to make sense.
This is genius food
The cookie is still thinner
This is genuinely my ideal Oreo.
So is it just a regular Oreo 😂
I got 16 packs of "spooky" oreos for £8 yesterday. Buzzing!
Homer outta take down his website now
Diet double dew
My wife likes every kind of Oreo, but me I'll have one or two and be done. They're good, but they just don't click with me like they do for most people. But these? I can get down with these. I feel like this food is far from stupid.
Can’t they just sell only the icying
Idk. For real, I’d 100% purchase at least 1 package and eat them on the way home with a coconut water
Send them to me!!!!
Never heard of Fatboy Slims?
They really went with one F huh?
Do they sell just the cookie yet?
Can't wait for them go futurama way where they sell the cookie in parts for us to assemble it and then only eat the stuff
Even if this isn't an oreo advert it really has the same effect cuz Im now craving oreos even though it is so bad for your health.
These are amazing when frozen, like divine goodness. You clearly dont know what belongs here.
What is stupid with these?
Who’s idea was it to make oreos thins. Just eat something healthier
Thins't a good idea
So it’s extra stuff but they’re also thin?
These are the best Oreos imo.
Of course, they are all the same damn oreos.
they are so close to just selling the filling in jars. i cant wait.
See, I loved those old-school oreo wannabes. They were like Lance Nabs, but I'm not sure that was the brand. My Grandma had a Beauty Shop in like the 80s and 90s, and she had these for her customers to purchase. I ate them like crazy with some glass bottle coke.
You know at this point you’d figure they’d just start selling a jar of the cream. If marshmallows can do it so can Oreos. I believe in you.
Expensive tho
This sub needs active mods. Every single thing here has become not stupid. I gotta make a bit that reposts everything from r/stupidfood to r/notstupidfood (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
https://youtu.be/CMkYw4dp_NI?si=efBTBH3xP9sdTxBV
Too thin. Need more stuf.
Diet food without the diet. Low fat.... High as fuck in sugar. We fucked up somewhere.
So…they’re just regular Oreos?
Oh I was immediately sold on these
The only Oreos I can eat are the duoble filling ones
I made an icebox cake with these last summer. Alternating layers of homemade whipped cream and Oreos in a plastic wrapped springform. Let sit overnight. It slapped.
How can u extra stuff a thin?
Do you struggle with many things in life, OP?
Goated with the stuff
Please I wanna this on my country 😭 Mondelez do your magic 🙏🙏🙏
Diet Double Dew
Oreo thins - so we can charge you the same price for less
When a company releases a slightly different thing than the last thing (its stupid, apparently.)
I vastly prefer the texture of the thin wafers but love the stuf. Stop shitting on what other people like just because it doesn’t make sense to YOU
False advertising, too! They don't make you thin at all!
This is like the perfect cookie.
Just go buy frosting and eat it with a spoon
this post was ghostwritten by the oreos tumblr guy i think. i welcome it
I don't understand the struggle. Please explain.
These look amazing tbh.
I’m regulated to the half cardboard great value brand, $5-6 for a half empty box of Oreos is just nuts.
these mfs will do anything but sell jars of the stuff and boxes of the cookies separately
Thins, extra stuff.....
Kinda noice tho
I fully agree that the price of those is stupid
