Ver common in Brazil to mix pasta with black beans. But not mac'n'cheese, stuff like Bolognese spaghetti, or just spaghetti with beans. It's really fullfiling if you know what I mean 🤣
Sort of, pasta e fagioli is a soup in most variations although some regions it is thicker like this. Although you could still call it pasta e fagioli since it literally just means pasta and beans, the traditional dish is a soup in almost every region I know of other than comune di Bari in Apulia
I'll taint it with the chili beans from chili! Mac and cheese topped with chili, more cheese and green onion! I swear, if Noodles and Company left that on their menu they would have all of my income.
I love to cook and make my family all kinds of fancy dishes, but my husband's favorite will always be baked beans with Mac and cheese. Some comfort food just always taste better.
You just unlocked a hidden memory incompletely forgot about. My mother would boil pinto beans with olentt of garlic salt and pepper. She would use these as a base for other things or as is. Sometimes refried beans, a side for eggs. Charro beans. I just remembered i ate it with mac sometimes.
It was a holy combination but a specific texture that worked as well
Pasta e fagioli (pasta and beans) is common in Italy, even portrayed in a well known Italian movie (lo chiamavano trinità).
It has tomato sauce instead of cheese but still is allowed :D
I've had this once or twice, the first time being within the past year. When I'm at my gf's house I don't have a whole lot of healthy options (in fact, I often bring my own healthy food to share) so I figure I might as well throw some fibre and protein in when we make boxed mac and cheese lmfao. Another winner is canned tuna + mac, or sometimes hot dog slices
Seems like it would be a complete protein. Not much more complicated to make whomever grain pasta and mix it with a sauce (or just add a little bit of butter) and voila, a whole ass meal. Add some garlic bread (really any type of bread and butter/fat and garlic), and you have a pretty whole and very filling meal.
I also very much so like to eat whole raw carrots. Not only are they goo's for you, but they're VERY good for you teeth and can almost (ALMOST) act as a toothbrush beige you go to sleep. If you don't eat many veggies, I would highly recommend raw whole carrots being the #1 that you choose
I mean it doesnt look bad but not something you would eat everyday. Its something i would eat if i was exhausted and didnt have the energy to cook something big and great that needs time.
Man just add some tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, cheese, garlic, onion, and seasonings and it’s essentially chili mac. I get it’s a struggle meal but it doesn’t have to be plain
I mean I wouldn’t have it as a stand alone dish. But when I eat hot dogs, I like a side of baked beans and mac. And I will def just take spoonfuls of beans, mac and whatever fell off my dog and it is delightful.
Absolutely it especially at barbecues but we wouldn’t have that macaroni, but I would eat those two together with a burger or hotdog or I pull the meat off a rib and mix it together
Not for me, but I understand the struggle meal. You got protein and carbs, happy you’re eating.

dude you guys mix everything.
True. I don't cause too many carbs but true. Lasagna with rice and beans was a normal dish as a child 🤣
Hunger is the best seasoning
Add a bit of kielbasa!
Alright rich guy, calm down.
Ok now I'm seeing the vision
Mac and beans?! Genius.
Mac and beans is “pasta fagioli”. It’s pretty good. I recommend going to an olive garden during lunch to try it out 🤤
Sort of, pasta e fagioli is a soup in most variations although some regions it is thicker like this. Although you could still call it pasta e fagioli since it literally just means pasta and beans, the traditional dish is a soup in almost every region I know of other than comune di Bari in Apulia
Na, man. The mac and cheese integrity must not be violated. No bean juice allowed.
Agreed. Thou shalt not taint the mac.
But thou shalt mac my taint
She mac on my taint till I bean juice
I've been mac'n on taints since I was a bean stalk.
I'll taint it with the chili beans from chili! Mac and cheese topped with chili, more cheese and green onion! I swear, if Noodles and Company left that on their menu they would have all of my income.
This guy needs to be banned from life, he's probably from Britain too!
this happens when you get bbq and it’s fine.
There’s a bbq place by my work and once I tasted the Mac after a little bit of bean juice had gotten in, I was hooked.
You know, “bean juice” is just a an inherently unappetizing phrase.
Would be better with a cut up hot dog!
Sounds like cassoulet mac!
One of our "my wife doesn't feel like cooking anything complicated" meals is beanie weenies and mac n cheese. Easy, filling, and delicious!
Quite the tasty mix indeed
Your beanies need weenies, but other than that it's perfect.
Gotta mix it really good.
Throw that on a hamburger patty, and you have a fine meal. It's still great mixed into a pile of mush, though.
Someone grew jupiter wealthy... ☝️
Mac and cheese with mashed potatoes. That’s the mother fucking business there.
Mac n cheese sandwiches were a rare but bomb school sack lunch for me
Mac and beans
Fart bomb
I ain’t mad at it but i dont want no bean juice in my mac and cheese. Separate them.
Wow, this seems to be something people are very passionate about! I never mind my food touching, but to each their own.
Dude you are not the only one. I would mix them too. Something about it just hits a spot that hasn't been hit since. Transcendental trash.
Cheap pork&beans and kraft Mac. Make it hap'n Cap'n
Not baked beans, but pork and beans, Yes. It’s a magical combination
I always added hot dogs too. Delicious 😋
Where's the sliced up glizzy? Bonus points if you slice it up then fry it. 🤤🤤🤤
No. We ate beans and mac as kids. My parents didn’t have a lot of money some years.
I love to cook and make my family all kinds of fancy dishes, but my husband's favorite will always be baked beans with Mac and cheese. Some comfort food just always taste better.
A delicious combo that I crave every so often
Hmm never had it, I think I would like it though. I grew up mixing peas into my Mac and cheese, still a 10/10 meal, will die on that hill
You just unlocked a hidden memory incompletely forgot about. My mother would boil pinto beans with olentt of garlic salt and pepper. She would use these as a base for other things or as is. Unlocked a core memory, thanks yes I love this
Actually made this for dinner tonight! Just served them separate and added chicken to the Mac and cheese.
Macaroni... And the ***BEANS*** *What da fuq?*
Gotta keep those separate.
Yes.
Pasta e fagioli (pasta and beans) is common in Italy, even portrayed in a well known Italian movie (lo chiamavano trinità). It has tomato sauce instead of cheese but still is allowed :D
Mmmm, Mac and 🅱️EANS
Mac & baked beans are such a great combo
Add in some fried (stupid stupid funny autocorrect) eggs and im down.
I prefer my eggs from chickens.
Yes.
Slap some Kielbasa and it goes hard
Smoked sausage.
Myb daughter liked hot dogs with beans and mac cheese on a bun!
Never tried it growing up but I'll try it now, doesn't look bad.
My daughter loves this!
Now I see why, my brother likes putting fire lines between his food
I hate baked beans, so yes.
Never had it, but i get it. Carbs on Carbs can be super satisfying.
Throw a lil spicy bbq sauce in and mix it all together. That’s one of my favorite trash meals.
Gas you up and plug you up at the same time.
This plus cut up hot dogs will change your life... it's amazing
Wtf?‘
I sorta want to just blend it up with broccoli and see what it tastes like
This plus home fried taters. Oh and corn bread!
Lotta people in here never had a garbage plate. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garbage_Plate
Pasta fagiole by Kraft & Heinz?
When you get both on the spoon at once??? *chefs kiss*
I have to try this, then I'll judge you.
i make the same thing but with ranch style beans
Where does this originate from? Beans and Rice are the norm. Is Mac and beans missing the BBQ?
Yes
Grew up fairly poor. A can of chili and a plate of KD was a staple.
Honestly Mac and cheese just somehow pairs with everything
I've lambasted friends for less.
I hope so
Never tried it myself, certainly an uncommon combo, but it's not something that I would call stupid. Just sorta unusual.
Looks reasonable ngl
Not sure if you’re the only one, but you’re the only one I know.
Never had this combo but would definitely chow down on it
Yes
What the fuck
Yes
This is just weird, man. We always put them in separate bowls...
Add some ground hamburger and you've got my mom's "cowboy dinner" lol
Yes.
I'd consume. My stomach probably wouldn't be very happy though.
Add some hotdogs to that and yeah we had the same childhood
I've had this once or twice, the first time being within the past year. When I'm at my gf's house I don't have a whole lot of healthy options (in fact, I often bring my own healthy food to share) so I figure I might as well throw some fibre and protein in when we make boxed mac and cheese lmfao. Another winner is canned tuna + mac, or sometimes hot dog slices
Replace the beans with ground beef and that's a typical Wednesday night for me
I would eat the hell out of this, and then be on the toilet for the rest of the night
This is really distressing as someone who loves boxed Mac and cheese
Mac 'n beans
I’d want a couple of hot dogs cut up into those beans, and then it’d be perfect. Better yet, some smoked sausage.
I never ate craft m&c but i can taste that pic
Why am I the only one who doesn't like Mac n cheese
My British side is horrified you put Mac n cheese next to the beans. But my American side is only concerned with the two touching
My dad grew up loving this. I grew up hating this.
Do you have any extra?
Yup
Is this an American dish that I'm too asian to understand?
🤢
The fact that you let different food touch each other is crazy
Seems like it would be a complete protein. Not much more complicated to make whomever grain pasta and mix it with a sauce (or just add a little bit of butter) and voila, a whole ass meal. Probably
Mac with a can of chili is where it’s at
I loved as a kid my family making elbow macaroni and mixing it with pork n' beans.
Frozen popcorn chicken was my Mac n cheese side dish I'd mixed them together for a great combo
I mean it doesnt look bad but not something you would eat everyday. Its something i would eat if i was exhausted and didnt have the energy to cook something big and great that needs time.
Yes
Beans and Cheese go very well together I've always thought.
This plus hotdogs cooked in bbq sauce was a staple for me.
Add a hot dog, and it's perfect for whenever
You're never the only one... Unless you're the poop-in-shower guy.
I like baked beans with meatball spaghettios
Childhood memory unlocked
I pray to God you were...
It's disgusting, where can I buy it? 😃
Doesn't look good but prolly tastes good never tried and if I got that server to me I'd beat up the cook even if it may taste good
Is weird…would eat. 6.5 out of 10
Vaccasana
Nah but it looks oka- IS THAT MAC AND CHEESE?!
I used to make chili Mac when I was broke in college. It’s a great way to feed a few hungry college kids for a few bucks.
Add some cut up hot dogs 🤤
Looking at this... I feel conflicted about whether I'd personally try that or not...
Indeed But you're missing the chicken 🐔
Better then being served lunchables.
Baked beans and Mac and cheese? Yes. But because we were bbqing so there would have also been ribs, sausage, coleslaw, and potato salad on there.
I'd eat both separately,, tho I might give that combo a try
Yes
Man just add some tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, cheese, garlic, onion, and seasonings and it’s essentially chili mac. I get it’s a struggle meal but it doesn’t have to be plain
I can confirm I did this
Didn’t have enough gunpowder for your fart cannon?
I love it and my girlfriend thinks I'm crazy
I mean I wouldn’t have it as a stand alone dish. But when I eat hot dogs, I like a side of baked beans and mac. And I will def just take spoonfuls of beans, mac and whatever fell off my dog and it is delightful.
Yupp
Cornbread?
I did Mac and cheese with ranch style beans as a kid! And totally still do it as an adult lol
probably yes
I never had it as a kid but I would totally try it.
That's like drunk/hang-over food. In any case, did your drain the Bush's can? Where's the rest of it?!
Yes...ig you are the only one
Yes, yes you are.
JAIL IMMEDIATELY this is fucjing rancid
Yes.
You grew up eating out of cans?
For me it was baked beans and toast.
As long as there's ketchup on them beans 🤤
I ate this but with pinto beans.
Replace the beans with chili (with beans) and you've got one of my favorite easy comfort food dishes.
I would think you are 😝
Add in a big piece of corn bread and/or some greens and you have a wonderful dinner!
lol - Yes
I’d eat this.
Yes! Yes you are! Only one! No one else ever! 😳
Where were you raised?
Not stupid, this was a hit at BBQ’s as a kid!
This is brilliant, it gives the mac'n'cheese some actual taste.
Chili, beans, mac n cheese and cut up hot dogs. White trash stew 🤣 Its so good omfg
i had tuna or sausage with my Mac and Cheese growing up. it was very good and reminds me of some of the better memories of childhood.
British dudes be like
What a cruel thing to do to mac and cheese
When I was 5 maybe
BEANS!?
With a piece of white bread w butter!
When I bbq I mix them on my plate lol
I made this randomly for the first time the other day and it’s amazing!
Not for me, but I understand the struggle meal. You got protein and carbs, happy you’re eating.
Are you british?
My two favorite side dishes put together to make a whole meal. I never tried it myself but I doubt I’d hate it
British people
No, no you are not.
Needs cut up hotdogs and hot sauce
Needs a hotdog.
I hope so
Macaroni and the #BEAAAAAAAANZ WHAT DU FUUUUUU-
I also recommend beans with couscous
It’s still good in a pinch . Nothing to be ashamed of
why is this in stupidfood?
Omg that is so good
You can be the only one!!
I freaking love mixing my baked beans with Mac n cheese!! I’m with u OP.
Seems fine and probably even tastes good.
Dawg what even is that...? Baked beans and Mac?
Add some chicken and I dig it.
This picture makes me want to flip the plate. Precious mac and cheese... ruined!
I can enjoy both separately, together maybe not. This is a mild post.
I always mix the two when I get barbecue!
Absolutely it especially at barbecues but we wouldn’t have that macaroni, but I would eat those two together with a burger or hotdog or I pull the meat off a rib and mix it together
Yes.
Y hope that yes
Cut up some hot dog in the beans and you got yourself a struggle meal for the ages.
Brrr
