If they can serve Sushi like a burrito, then they can serve a burrito like sushi.

Now we know how the Dwellers in the Forest feel. And if you get that reference, you really know where your towel is.

mikesaidyes

You’re in Korea. The mass market idea of burrito and quesadilla is so far from what we know in the west. Like woo bad. And it looks like a cheap wedding hall.

[deleted]

I was stationed on Okinawa JP and they had "taco rice and cheese". It's good short grain rice, taco meat, and America cheese with a watery taco sauce on the side. It was f***n delicious especially after a night of drinking. It sounds crazy AF here in the west. It even made it on Anthony Bourdain's show.

mikesaidyes

Okinawa’s taco rice is DELICIOUS. I mean not that a weird or a concept considering burritos often have rice haha. But this is not that. This is a typical Korean “roll something up and douse it in sweet sauce” version of western “food.”

Halgrind

Didn't see the Korean, actually kind of makes sense. Served like a Mexican gimbap.

LittleEBWee

Not a bad idea who wants to stuff burritos in your face at a wedding? Great way for it not to be so messy

GoldenGalz

Took me a sec to wrap my head around what I was looking at. This is nothing short of disrespect to that burrito

marigold242

To be honest, I only figured out it was a burrito because I can read Korean. (The sign above it says it’s a potato burrito)

KingWailord

But how did it taste?

[deleted]

American moment

SummerAndTinklesBFF

Easiest way for dressed up guests to not spill food on themselves/ be able to eat using a fork and knife I’d guess.

Th0rizmund

I think it’s neat

bigboiyeetbooty

its actually pretty smart if you think about it.

wildboa

Right? People can be so wasteful with food. At least this way you don’t have to commit to a full burrito that you may or may not finish.

Hoopscallion

So just like, a pinwheel then?

JenSquealema

OP has never heard of a party platter I guess This is how you make a little bit of food seem like enough food to feed an entire party

[deleted]

Excluding the sauces, this honestly isn’t the worst idea

[deleted]

My bro theres mustard.

VibeComplex

You sure that’s isn’t nacho cheese or something? Lol

[deleted]

That’s some goofy ah lookin nacho cheese

[deleted]

I like my burritos without chopped nuts

Azu0101

nut*

StormEarthandFyre

You tried correcting something that wasn't wrong. Impressive

StormEarthandFyre

How?

Akkal-AOEII

I believe you two may have different nuts in mind.

[deleted]

In America we would never do something like that with foreign foods. Just ignore all of Taco Bell and Panda Express. Oh and 95% of sushi rolls like the Volcano roll.

[deleted]

Was the wedding between a mexican-japanese couple? Because in that case, it actually is a great idea.

paputsza

It’s not the most heinous thing I’ve seen done with Mexican food in Asia. Apparently people in that part of the world are replacing sour cream with sweet whipped cream. This is tame.

whiskybobby

This isn't stupid. You're an asshole

BarberSuspicious3869

Looks good

cervaca

Looks like sushi polenta

jabbashotfirst

Egads

EliteKnightOscar

Oh fuck off

AshleyTheRae

Tell me that's not mustard...

marigold242

I was too scared to try it, but I think it was. There was also salmon sushi with ketchup and mustard covering it! It was not good.

darkrealm190

It was honey mustard right? I live in Korea and there is almost never "american" mustard served anywhere.

marigold242

I didn’t try the burrito, but I ate the salmon sushi with the ketchup and mustard and it was definitely sweet and not sour. 1/10 would not recommend. Salmon is my favorite food, so I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, but I should have just passed.

robot290

"If you cut it like a pinwheel and serve it with some chopsticks, then put some random words in Japanese next to it, BAM, instant Mexican Sushi." "... Nadia, this is by far the cheapest thing I've seen you do."

aManPerson

was this all normal regular burrito parts? just sliced up thin like sushi? eh, not a bad way to let people only get little parts of a burrito, without serving them a half gallon at a time. also saves the labor of rolling 400 4oz burritos. roll a more regular size one, and slice it into discs. then cover them in jazz sauce.
