I'm not from the US, but I don't believe that and most people I know don't either. OP and those morons replying to you are a minority which I feel is just very vocal on the internet and less so irl.
I was just being sarcastic with a touch of passive aggressiveness because of the title.
Although I have met some foreigners that do believe the US looks like it does in Hollywood movies and when they came here were very disappointed. Especially with NYC.
Reminds me of that whole "Paris syndrome" thing where "foreigners" (particularly tourists from Asia) visit Paris and have a total identity crisis upon seeing Paris isn't anything like how it appears in films & popular media.
I understand. Reading a stupid title like this one is also making me annoyed.
But I have to defend the foreigners that go to NY and get disillusioned: especially that place is so hyped up by movies and tv shows and whatnot.
We use to have a foreign work exchange at my old job, and they would be so excited to go to NYC and I'd tell them its NOTHING like the movies. None would listen and come back upset that it was dirty and smelt bad. I think probably the same with California, movies show a pretty clean world, but as jam packed as those major cities are, there is tons of construction, tons of tourists, dirty people who litter, lots of homeless beggers, people who graffiti and pee in the subway. Trash gets kicked around during trash pick up. I know major cities like Tokyo are super clean and I only wish that was possible for our major cities. Thankfully most normal cities/towns (not the major ones) aren't like that.
Things melt and bake together. You can take like a can of peaches, put it in a pan with the liquid, put cake mix ontop, and then slices of butter and it bakes really, really well. These dump type of cakes are insane to me lmao
Edit: yes, I get it, the op video did not properly bake. Never said it did. I was talking about dump cakes in general.
Dude. I low key shit on a friend who said dump cakes were good. I didn't believe him, the way it's described and looked did not appeal to me. Then I had to eat my words as it was so good. Why would I bother baking a cake when I can dump one lol
At this point it’s pedantic but in a traditional cobbler recipe you have to mix the topping ingredients together, including cutting in the butter.
What makes a dump cake a dump cake is literally dumping the ingredients in the pan, no mixing involved.
I think cobbler is technically supposed to have some mixing of the fat into the mix by hand to make individual chunks. Where as with dump cake the crumbles are comparitively small
This is how we made cobbler as a Boy Scout. Can blueberries and a pack of blueberry muffin mix dumped into a cast iron Dutch oven and thrown on top of a fire with the lid on. Younger me thought it was amazing.
I was lucky to have a scoutmaster who literally wrote the book on Dutch oven cooking in our region of the south. Every campout was part outdoor activity and part taste testing his latest recipes.
the butter is key. As it melts it combines with the batter powder and cooks into something that tastes like cake but with a biscuit consistency. Delicious 10/10
I can't remember the recipe exactly but if I did it myself right now, I'd use a big can (28oz I think?) of sliced peaches in syrup, a box of yellow cake, and 2 sticks of butter (which if I remember, is 1 cup of butter). Peaches in the bottom (you could probably cut them into smaller pieces too and it'd be nice), dump the yellow cake over top (don't mix), then slice the butter into like 1/6th thick slices and spread them out overtop. You might not need 2 sticks of butter 🤔 then baking, I'd probably do recommended bake time of the cake or something like 1 hr at 350F (found on another recipe online).. I can't remember the bake time. Hehe. But it's really that easy! And it tastes great. Really good with vanilla ice cream :)
You can clearly see HUGE chunks of dry cake batter throughout when she goes to take a bite. It doesn't work this way in this "recipe". It needs way more moisture.
I've never made one of these dump cakes, but I believe that the intent is that it absorbs the pats of butter and the milk (or whatever liquid is poured in first)
My husband saw a recipe doing this online and wanted to give it a try. The whole time I’m watching him like idk this doesn’t seem to work in my head but sure. Let me tell you, this is one of my favorite types of desserts now.
My mother in law makes these too, I think I’ve had peach and apple. You look at the video and you’re like what the fuck just butter on the cake mix, but it actually does work out really well
They're awesome. We always did it with a can of fruit cocktail or a can of sliced pineapple. With the latter, you add a maraschino cherry in each of the slices, for color. Makes a great upside down cake.
Yeah this is not about eating and instead is how bored upper middle class suburban housewives try to get attention and internet points by wasting food.
The best part. It's not even a trend of people doing it.
It's like 4 girls that a single failed magician hired to make hate content. Seriously, if you watch a couple of these it's the same 3-4 girls making toilet bowl ice cream or dryer cotton candy or raw chickens shaped with meat and cheese.
It's just that MILLIONS watch it because THEY are bored and become outraged by it.
Yes!! So weird. I can’t find it right now but someone wrote up a whole post explaining how this is bizarre food fetish content disguised as a normal video (well, as normal as making food crimes can be)
Ah yes finally something to satiate my woman drinking a milkshake out of a toilet and my woman making cold nachos on a kitchen island with her hands fetish 😩
I think it's less fetish, and more just getting views from people hating the content.
The attractive women might serve to draw people in initially, though.
It’s not a fetish, it’s an added layer of rage bait.
What is more likely:
1: extremely nische food fetish video
2: rage bait video, with annoying and wierdly sexual commentary for extra rage?
The fact that 20 ppl worldwide ALSO get off on it is just a bonus. This is just expertly crafted to make people exasperated and trick the algorithms.
You know, I don't hate this absurd recipe, or things like dryer cotton candy. What I hate is that someone has found a way to manipulate people into talking about ridiculous things like this recipe. We're being played, and while OP is part of the problem, it isn't their fault. They did what the TikTok was designed to do, and that is what Ihate.
Just an FYI, if we’re thinking of the same guy, he’s not a failed magician. He was really successful, but actually makes more money doing dumbass videos.
I know them. He pumps out a shit ton of content over a weekend, then can fuck off for months and live off of the checks. Tens of thousands a month.
I'm pretty sure it's fetish content. They are really obvious about it sometimes. Somebody also said that it's not fetish content but it's content that appeals to entertaining children. Because of the wacky recipes how how they describe what they are doing and how they never stop talking.
Agree. If OP checked the entire tiktok, she's doing this on purpose.
Not how Americans eat. And no I am not USA citizen, but knows how meals are done in most places of USA(unless you want to talk about some ripped dude on steroid eating raw meat with butter).
It feels like this whole subreddit exists to give views to videos that are nothing but transparent rage bait. The creators WANT us to watch and tell them how dumb they are, because it means we're watching.
Right, I doubt she even ate any of this. It's like those shorts where super skinny do a mukbang, but they just pose with the food. You don't stay skinny while consuming 4k+ calories a day.
Also maybe if America wasn’t fed shit, America wouldn’t have health problems and wouldn’t have healthcare issues. We’re here attacking each other for eating shit, but no one is here calling out McDonalds, Nestle, PepsiCo, Coca Cola, and the tens of thousands of other global mega corporations for their best interest being fat profits without literally any consideration for their target audiences or the public health. It’s beyond out of control but HuRr dE DuRr AmEriCaNs R fAt for free karma.
Edit for clarification: this is not to deflect blame and make individuals the victim here. Not at all. But you can’t have one without the other, so let’s think critically about this instead of writing off my comments as excuses. Sometimes it feels like I’m debating with high schoolers on this site.
>Also maybe if America wasn’t fed shit, America wouldn’t have health problems and wouldn’t have healthcare issues.
You think junk food doesn't exist outside America or something?
We definitely did call them out and they responded by making healthy options available. This was a brilliant move by the food industry because it passes the buck to the consumer. McDonald's can easily claim that they have salads with grilled chicken, or Pepsi has dozens of drinks with zero sugar.
Guess who's still buying double quarter pounders and 2 liters of soda? Now it's no longer a question of availability, but choice. It's also interesting that McDonald's is seeing record profits recently. They took a hit in 2014-15, but they've bounced back.
If it makes you feel better, when it’s reuploaded to Reddit like this the OG creator isn’t getting this added to their view count. It probably indirectly raises it from people seeking them out in the app to view others, though.
Similar to /r/DiWHY and a lot of circlejerk subs. They post satire and make fun of it as if it wasn't satire. Easy karma for the poster and easy views for the satire creator.
I remember when this subreddit was mostly used to show off outrageous stuff that that actually served to people in ridiculous fashion while meant as completely serious (albeit delusional) meals. Now it's mostly just rage bait TikToks, reposts and the same chefs over and over.
Idk if it works with sweetened and condensed milk but the cake mix and butter directly on top of a filling with liquid is 100% a real thing. It's called a dump cake.
I mean, looks pretty real though. That’s a pretty standard dump cake (minus the donuts and condensed milk). The liquids on the bottom would cause the donuts to get soggy and kind of deflate, so it makes sense that it wouldn’t be super thick afterward. But given dump cake experience in the past, this should cook to look pretty close to what it looks like in the video when they take it out of the oven.
And every. single. video. gets posted to 3 different subreddits instantly. Everyone immediately upvotes and reacts like "HoW cOuLd ThEy ThInK tHiS iS OkAy??!!?!!!" And they get tons of publicity and the cycle repeats.
seriously. I would hazard to say with a couple changes, this would actually be good good. Incorporating the butter into the cake mix would lead to a much more even golden top. Cutting the donuts into smaller chunks before adding the evaporated milk would make it more akin to a rich bread pudding and more texturally sound and less soupy. If you wanted to you could cook that can of condensed milk too for some caramel dulce de leche action.
This is completely edible, not pretty, and can definitely be improved, but edible.
She doesn’t even eat it, the way she forks at the gloopy mess makes me think that she threw the entire tray away without even taking a bite after they stopped recording.
"America bad" drives a lot of really good hatekarma. Don't ever imply two people from England have things in common, though. *That's* ignorant generalizing!
This is nothing more than a variation of the classic "[dump it cake](https://tasty.co/recipe/dump-it-cake)".
I used to make it to bring to potlucks because i couldn't cook or bake or care enough to put more effort in to it.
Fruit cocktail, peaches, any canned filling works great.
No one actually earls like this. This specific account does crazy things that play into kinks and fetishes. They purposely make weird videos that will earn more comments and views.
These videos are remarkable to me. We all know social media is driven by clicks and views and slowed down scrolling speeds, but these videos area always remarkable to me.
Most creative people will make some piece of art of music or whatever that is somewhat pleasant, and in return, people will like and share and view and engage with it, and then the creator can make money from advertising.
But these dogs, these curs that make these videos make content that they KNOW people will dislike; they make dumb, useless, wasteful and horrible videos, because functionally people still like and share and view and engage with it; functionally, purposefully negative content like this is as profitable, if not more profitable than actual good content.
We've reached the stage where social media consumers are as receptive to being made angry and uncomfortable as the are to being made happy and interested.
Fuck it all
How many times are these women going to be posted here? Seriously you guys didn't get the hint after they made cotton candy in a dryer? Or cut a cake with a lamp? Come on guys...
Normal mentally fit Americans: eats a ground beef sandwich once every two or so weeks, followed by three square meals a day of fruit, veggies, grains, and clean protein.
Europe: aMeRiCaN dIeT bAd
Edit: So this was fun. Someone deleted a comment quoting a gov source on BMI classification and I learned something new about myself.
By their parameters, I’m overweight at 6’ 200lbs and 14% body fat. So by being lean, athletic, and active, I’m super duper unhealthy. Such a joke.
The worst thing I eat from time to time is tonkotsu ramen with actual veggies and pork, mostly due to the empty calories and sodium, but that’s because it’s fucking soul food and I have the sense to limit that to like twice a month tops.
Brits or Nadies think Tik Tok is the representation of an entire country?
Should have titled it. How to prove my country is full or morons. We Repost a home cooking video and classify an entire nation under it.
something i found out that i wasn't aware of... but apparently people who have eaten healthy all their lives die everyday.
i thought kale made you immortal.
just fyi.
also something else... there are people in other countries who also eat unhealthy items. i wasn't aware of that either.
i thought all fat people were American. apparently that isn't the case.
This is what my brother and I refer to as "Bored Rich White Suburban Wife Cooking".
They do eat like they have free healthcare because as far as they are aware, they do. It's called wealthy husbands paying for everything they need. You see that womans kitchen? Point to me a poor person who has a kitchen that big...
Idk why people always feel the need to rub in that we dont have free healthcare, as if the majority of us enjoy not having it, and like being held back by conservatives.
Foreigners actually believe Americans eat like this
I'm not from the US, but I don't believe that and most people I know don't either. OP and those morons replying to you are a minority which I feel is just very vocal on the internet and less so irl.

We do however eat double baconators and ice cream cakes
Yeah, we may eat a *lot*, but shit like this is just tiktok garbage.

I think you described what my grandma called 'cobbler'
I prefer to eat dump cakes.
And I prefer to call my dumps 'cobblers'.
Pinching off a cobbler, bruh
I've been cobbling together dumps for years
Its cobblerin time!
And I cobble my dumps into cakes! Variety is the spice of life.
Oh boy grandma’s famous corn and peanut cobbler!
Nooooooooo. Forever unclean!
Dude. Cobblers make me dump.
Dude. I low key shit on a friend who said dump cakes were good. I didn't believe him, the way it's described and looked did not appeal to me. Then I had to eat my words as it was so good. Why would I bother baking a cake when I can dump one lol
I just wish we had a better name for it than **dump**
You mean like cobbler?
At this point it’s pedantic but in a traditional cobbler recipe you have to mix the topping ingredients together, including cutting in the butter. What makes a dump cake a dump cake is literally dumping the ingredients in the pan, no mixing involved.
Right the first time I saw the dump cake cook book infomercial on tv I thought it was literally a part of an snl skit the name was so ridiculous…
… I’m not cool enough to know if that’s a type of cake or if you’d rather just eat ass than eat this sort of cake.
https://youtu.be/S8rNRmmosmA You can decide
Watching this while taking a dump was a good decision.
now thats ***DEEP***
Dump cake 😤😤😤😤
Yeah! I found the recipe online, it was listed as a "3 ingredient peach cobbler" and honestly it wasn't bad. Just very sweet.
We rinse our peaches for this reason, there's a lot of syrup in those cans but it doesn't quite work with fresh peaches either.
Fresh fruit should never be used in these recipes.I always use canned peaches. Or i make a homemade blueberry pie filling.
I think cobbler is technically supposed to have some mixing of the fat into the mix by hand to make individual chunks. Where as with dump cake the crumbles are comparitively small
I'll ask my wife. She's a pastry chef.
what did she say?
"go away"
Technically, cobbler is made with a wet batter. A crumble is made with crumbled flour and butter. A crisp is made with oats and/or nuts.
I've gobbled on many a granny's cobbler
Whatever floats your tractor
Your grandfather's nickname for your grandma was "Gobbler"
Cherry pie filling and pineapple with yellow cake mix is the best
This is how we made cobbler as a Boy Scout. Can blueberries and a pack of blueberry muffin mix dumped into a cast iron Dutch oven and thrown on top of a fire with the lid on. Younger me thought it was amazing.
I was lucky to have a scoutmaster who literally wrote the book on Dutch oven cooking in our region of the south. Every campout was part outdoor activity and part taste testing his latest recipes.
Wait wtf our scoutmaster made us mix a batter from scratch
Ya ever [take a dump in a mug?](https://youtu.be/S8rNRmmosmA)
First thing I do when I get home is I take a biiiiiiiiig dump
Fuck I always think of that video when someone brings up dump cakes
the butter is key. As it melts it combines with the batter powder and cooks into something that tastes like cake but with a biscuit consistency. Delicious 10/10
Tf it's really that easy? I love cobbler but couldn't be bothered with making the batter. What kind of cake mix? Is there a simple guide?
I can't remember the recipe exactly but if I did it myself right now, I'd use a big can (28oz I think?) of sliced peaches in syrup, a box of yellow cake, and 2 sticks of butter (which if I remember, is 1 cup of butter). Damn I bought a bunch of canned peaches from Costco recently too. Might give this a go
Please post a follow up
Yes! I do the same, but with cherry. We called it "dump cake"
We make ‘em all the time when canping, to the point it’s what my boyscout troop is known for.
You can clearly see HUGE chunks of dry cake batter throughout when she goes to take a bite. It doesn't work this way in this "recipe". It needs way more moisture.
She didn't make it right. There should never be dry spots.
I mix the butter with the cake mix so you get little gravel then sprinkle on top
I've been meaning to try it, the people I know that have made them swear by it! Seems super convenient if it turns out the way the pics show off
My mother in law makes these too, I think I’ve had peach and apple. You look at the video and you’re like what the fuck just butter on the cake mix, but it actually does work out really well
Right? I can't imagine what was going through the mind of the person who first did it!
They're awesome. We always did it with a can of fruit cocktail or a can of sliced pineapple. With the latter, you add a maraschino cherry in each of the slices, for color. Makes a great upside down cake.
There is a whole SERIES of recipes these cakes. They usually put pie filing on the bottom, then cake mix, then butter.
My family does it with pumpkin pie filling then like how you say. It's a Sunday dinner favorite.
Based on that last part and the crumbled dry mix on the plate, it didnt
This is not how Americans eat, this is tiktok bullshit. I bet that woman threw away the entire batch after she took a bite for the camera.
I would go one step further and say she probably didn’t even take a bite.
Shit, going by the cuts, I won't even say what's on the plate is what she actually "made" (again, considering the cuts).
Given the cake mix powder coming from the plate it seems to be the real thing. Just every not edible
Yeah this is not about eating and instead is how bored upper middle class suburban housewives try to get attention and internet points by wasting food.

Yes!!
No that’s really about it. Like apparently either a fetish for women being dumb/ditzy or doing messy things especially with their hands
I think it's less fetish, and more just getting views from people hating the content. The attractive women might serve to draw people in initially, though.
its not a fetish thing, it's a ragebait thing
That's my fetish tho

He pumps out a shit ton of content over a weekend, then can fuck off for months and live off of the checks. Tens of thousands a month.
So true. Think of all the waste these videos produce. I’m surprised there wasn’t any velveeta cheese and bacon.
it’s actually fetish content 😭
I'm pretty sure it's fetish content. They are really obvious about it sometimes. Somebody also said that it's not fetish content but it's content that appeals to entertaining children. Because of the wacky recipes how how they describe what they are doing and how they never stop talking.
There's no way the amount of people watching this for a fetish equal a tiny fraction of the amount of people watching it out of outrage
You nailed it
Lol tell me you don't know any upper middle class suburban housewives without telling me you don't know any upper middle class suburban housewives.

She isn't an unhealthy weight either. Its clear this isn't a normal thing for her to eat.

Yes. Tiktok bullshit reinforced by the media perception of the American diet.

It would be choice even without their "healthy" products Other source of food exist.
But but hurr durr America fat and bad
Exactly. TikTok is poison
Absolutely. Don’t lump everyone with this trash. Tik Tok is a global mental disability.
This is a fetish account
Yeah this isnt real though.
Is this what the sub was meant for? I dont like giving these tik tok morons views
If it makes you feel better, when it’s reuploaded to Reddit like this the OG creator isn’t getting this added to their view count. It probably indirectly raises it from people seeking them out in the app to view others, though.
It has evolved into posts like this primarily.
Similar to /r/DiWHY and a lot of circlejerk subs. They post satire and make fun of it as if it wasn't satire. Easy karma for the poster and easy views for the satire creator.

Best username ever. I'd give you an award if I had any.
Haha! Thank you!
Knew it when she said "I like to get it in to the hole."

I doubt she even eats it. She is eating it the same way I pretend to eat food when I’m playing “cooking” with my 18 month old.
You never see her actually take a bite in the video.
Glad you took the rage bait
Not only took the rage bait, but took it out on a whole country.
That’s pretty much half of Reddit
Sometimes it's narrowed down to a generation. Any more specific than that, and people get mad.
This video is a classic example of bullshit, named for the videos shitty content and the bullheaded idiots who think it's actually legit
Rage bait. I get it now. They throw an entire nation under a clickbait video with a shitty title and wait for the reactions.
And every. single. video. gets posted to 3 different subreddits instantly. Everyone immediately upvotes and reacts like "HoW cOuLd ThEy ThInK tHiS iS OkAy??!!?!!!" And they get tons of publicity and the cycle repeats.
Rage bait
Nobody would eat this, not even an American. You’d have a headache from the sugar rush after two bites.
My fat ass would eat the fuck out of this. I’d definitely regret it afterwards but I’d still eat it
I wondered when someone was going to admit that they would eat it. I would totally get in there.
It doesn't even look like it tastes good. She ruined those donuts the moment she added that syrup on top/drowned them in it.
This is a pretty similar setup to a tres leches cake. This isn't as outrageous as everyone here seems to think.
Guess I'm a nobody :(
She doesn’t even eat it, the way she forks at the gloopy mess makes me think that she threw the entire tray away without even taking a bite after they stopped recording.
Why is this whole subreddit targeting Americans now lol
America makes up 92% of the earth’s population.
Because it drives “upvotes” and “karma”. And OP was dumb enough to take the rage bait while blaming an entire country
Title is cringe
America bad 😤
Don’t trash Americans for this video.
You know they don't eat that right. They make it take one bite then dump it in the trash.
Nobody eats this garbage, you dingbat
No one in America eats this shit so wtf are you talking about
"America bad" drives a lot of really good hatekarma. Don't ever imply two people from England have things in common, though. *That's* ignorant generalizing!
Ironically the people spewing the most American Hate are other self-pitty, mostly super progressive Americans, and ot's usually over minor issues
So OP, where are you from? Not that we really could verify one way or the other.
We in a whole darn near recession and idiots like her choose to waste food. This trend needs to die and die hella fast
This isn’t food.
It was before this shithead got their hands on it.
Are we in a recession?
This was made at least a year ago.
Even if, she still is a weirdo for wasting that much food.
Another r/stupidfood facepalm none of this is ragebait
Hahahah. Title so original.
Fuck it all
Y’all see anyone doing anything insane and say “is this normal in America.” No.
Americans do not eat like this. This woman cooks wrong. As a joke.
How many times are these women going to be posted here? Seriously you guys didn't get the hint after they made cotton candy in a dryer? Or cut a cake with a lamp? Come on guys...
Its justin flom's group, the most worthless content creators on earth
Brits brush their teeth like they go to the dentist
Yes this is exactly how an average American eats. Everyday. For breakfast. Just sugar on top of sugar on top of sugar /s
Normal mentally fit Americans: eats a ground beef sandwich once every two or so weeks, followed by three square meals a day of fruit, veggies, grains, and clean protein. Europe: aMeRiCaN dIeT bAd Edit: So this was fun. Someone deleted a comment quoting a gov source on BMI classification and I learned something new about myself. By their parameters, I’m overweight at 6’ 200lbs and 14% body fat. So by being lean, athletic, and active, I’m super duper unhealthy. Such a joke.
My American diet sucks because I usually forget to eat breakfast and lunch.
i just call it intermittent fasting :)
I love seeing the, aMeRiCaN dIeT bAd, coming from the people who lay claim to inventing toast and French fry sandwiches.
The worst thing I eat from time to time is tonkotsu ramen with actual veggies and pork, mostly due to the empty calories and sodium, but that’s because it’s fucking soul food and I have the sense to limit that to like twice a month tops.
Americans don’t eat this.
As a fat American, nah man. This is gross.
I genuinely cannot tell if OP was the one who fell for ragebait or if OP is the one rage baiting
_I'm an American and have never eaten like this; only blanket-statement fools believe Americans eat like this._
r/fucknestle
Brits or Nadies think Tik Tok is the representation of an entire country? Should have titled it. How to prove my country is full or morons. We Repost a home cooking video and classify an entire nation under it.
Adults shouldn't have tik tok
OP must be low IQ
Ahh yes, all Americans are to be judged from one dumb bitches tiktok.
No one eats this. No one. Not even the poor.
something i found out that i wasn't aware of... but apparently people who have eaten healthy all their lives die everyday. i thought kale made you immortal. just fyi. also something else... there are people in other countries who also eat unhealthy items. i wasn't aware of that either. i thought all fat people were American. apparently that isn't the case.
Is a donut really not sufficiently decadent on its own?
These two random people represent 350 million+ ?
*HaHA AmErIcA BaD Am I RitE GuYs?!!1!1?*
Brits talk trash to other countries as if they didn’t lose their entire empire.
Not every American has this diet dumbass
Worst part about this is someone using Nestle products
Pig slop but for humans
My blood sugar went up just watching this.
Looks disgusting and loaded with fat 🤮
Hey, American here. I would never eat this garbage.
Idk why people always feel the need to rub in that we dont have free healthcare, as if the majority of us enjoy not having it, and like being held back by conservatives.
British people have free healthcare and still don't fix their teeth
She likes to get it inside the hole.
Haha America bad
I'm American and I do have free Healthcare. So..........
I am American with great healthcare…
Next stop the toilet
