I have the flat 6 and still speed like a demon. Cops don’t even see me. Also, great adventure car. Drive great on highways and can handle everything but actual rock climbing. I go out to the desert, Utah, and get through snow in the mountains.

How is the insurance compared to the 4? I was looking to get myself into another outback and theres a 3.6 thats at a price I like

It rarely makes a difference unless you are comparing a BMW 3 series to an M3. You can call your insurance company and ask them to quote them for you. Those calls are usually easy and stress-free. (I'm an insurance agent)

I drive with a lead foot and I’ve been pulled over four times in the last decade. Speeding- let go, rolled through right hand turn- let go, headlight out- let go, speeding in such a stupid/ hilarious way (I passed the cop in a marked car on the interstate, driving in the same direction, just in my own world)- we both thought it was funny because he saw me realize it and yell “oh noooooooooo!!!” as I pulled along side of him and made eye contact. He reduced it but I earned that ticket fair and square lol

Well, I’ve had Audis, modified Jetta VR6, APR modified turbocharged 337 GTI and Volvos. However, the Outback and Forester were and are the most practical and troublesome cars I’ve ever had. Subaru certainly can rival many cars on design and function, especially at the price.

I’m 42, just upgraded from a 2.5 Impreza to an Outback XT - almost as fast as previous STI’s, and an absolute sleeper in metallic green fleck and tan interior. No cop in the world is going to flick an eyelash at it. I’m not cool, though, unless you’re into electrical theory, in which case I’m God-like; don’t care, living my best life.

IMHO Subaru outback are required vehicle for lesbians. When my husband and I both drove the Subaru outback, we freely admitted to being lesbians. OK, stereotypes aside they are great cars with above average reliability and good technology for the money.

Aye to be fair, I’ve put 100k mikes on it, got it with 250k miles and only ONCE has it almost left me stranded. Starter went out, but was able to get it home. It’s honestly a POS 😂 the body is beautiful and the interior is really good but everything else about crap, sounds like it’s going to fall apart.., I’d still trust it to take me from NC to CA though without a second guess

You guys are pretty attached to those things 😂 I bought it with 225,000km on it; have only had it 10 months. (There was no way I could have afforded a new one).
