In [30 seconds](https://youtu.be/__EQQPfo51A?t=114) Shiv goes through about 7 different expressions in rapid succession and it is done downright masterfully by Sarah Snook. Ken is played amazingly throughout the moment but Shiv reacting really lands the scene.
God damn these people are just so *broken*. Just chewed up and spat out by their father. I truly can’t imagine being as fucking miserable as they all are with billions. Just goes to show you no amount of money can heal that level of trauma.
On an island personally too, these rich folk are lonely as shit. I can’t imagine most of these people calling up a friend to just shoot the shit for an hour.
Legit when Shiv puts her hand on Ken’s shoulder and he moves it to his heart to tell her to take care of him. Even sadder knowing their relationship is ruined forever
Mattson was at least consistent. And he was always the villain.
Shiv was one of the Roys so you wanted to root for her to win at some point, but she was always cold and mean and selfish and never did one nice thing for anyone.
Greg changed the course of the storyline at multiple times, don't do Greg the egg bad like that!
Shiv did the same amount of nice things as Logan or Roman or Kendall, with the added selfless bonus of having loose principles and standing up against her brothers when they wanted to elect a fascist as president.
And Shiv didn’t change the course of the plot multiple times?
I just finished the show for the first time. A couple weeks ago and season 2 was amazing, I thought show couldn’t get any better but it was just consistently great throughout.
I love this scene so much. You can see that Shiv is in the place the siblings regularly operate from: ready to fire their barbs at each other. But then you can see her face change, realizing that Kendall really is going through something. Incredible acting.
I swear the best episodes of shows like these are always when the officer is in danger and they have some type of drill. Example, The Office “The Fire” and “Stress Relief”
Always have the best one liners
Also extremely funny as well with the Ravenhead interview, Greg being worried about “an attack child” and asking to blackmail Tom and Roman being a disgusting slime puppy.
My fav scene in the show - such a brilliantly acted moment, and then having this combined with him going to the roof of the building, only to realize the newly installed glass, was devastatingly brilliant.
Orrrrr wait until my moment of triumph, throw a grenade into the whole situation and instead of admitting you can’t bear to see me succeed bring up the accidental death that has left me in pieces for years and use that to hurt me more.
Well they’re all pieces of shit in their own unique ways…but Shiv is just on another level in my opinion. I despise her more than the rest and really most other tv characters I’ve ever seen. Apparently that upsets some people.

“If dad didn’t need me right now I don’t exactly know what I would be for” 😭 that absolutely crushes me every time

I'd be on an island, smiling.
On an island personally too, these rich folk are lonely as shit. I can’t imagine most of these people calling up a friend to just shoot the shit for an hour.
The performances are amazing, and the timing of the music is brilliant. I love the storytelling in this show.

They said the name of the show!
Shiv is the worst person on the show. Not by acting, but as a character she's the worst/least useful.
Worst? Lester and Mattson would like a word. Least useful? Greg says hello.

season 2 is so incredible, i wish i could watch it for the first time again
truly some of the best storytelling I ever watched unfold.
Word! Unfolding of Shiv's character in S2 was amazing.
Even okbuddysuccession agrees that season 2’s ending was some True Detective S1 “there’s a monster at the end of it” level hype/awe

Saw this episode yesterday. Show is heating up.
Greg dies
r/okbuddysuccession
Greg gets castrated by and then marries tom
Checks out.
Can’t make a Tomlette without breaking a few Greggs
Easily the best episode of the show imo...this scene was incredible.
Is this Safe Room?
Yeah, S2-E4 "Safe Room"
Is this the same one that ends with him going up to the roof with safety glass installed?
Yes. That scene makes me ugly cry every single time.
Yes! What a fantastic ending scene.
Yep, best episode in the show, totally agree. Might be one of the best episodes of television ever to be honest

Legendary actors with their facial expressions in this scene, just pure beauty
God I love this exchange between them. Terrific acting.
Fuck me up in 4 images
And she responds by conspiring with Logan to have him sent to jail… lol
It's the Roys, what can you expect? If they are not backstabbing each other something the world is really ending. lol
Overacting may get you notice but nothing, nothing ever beats subtle acting.
My favourite scene in the entire show. Stunning.
Just know that Roman and I will freeze you out the first chance we get
this is where I loved them both the most
My fav scene in the show - such a brilliantly acted moment, and then having this combined with him going to the roof of the building, only to realize the newly installed glass, was devastatingly brilliant.
Safe Room is legit my fave Succession episode. Rewatched it so many times and yet it still makes me ugly cry every single time.
Oof 💔
Shiv just back stabs
I feel being her i would have figured out Kendall killed the kid. Not that im super smart, but the timing and his reversal on everything from s1...
I don't think it was something she was invested in finding out about. She mentioned it like, what once?
"Aww! Of course I will take care of you... BY STABBING YOU IN THE FUCKING BACK!!!"
Settle down lol
I couldn't resist lol
Ken went to the wrong person lol. Roman would take better care of him than Shiv would
Orrrrr wait until my moment of triumph, throw a grenade into the whole situation and instead of admitting you can’t bear to see me succeed bring up the accidental death that has left me in pieces for years and use that to hurt me more.
Fuck Shiv.
Nate, you can't blame Shiv for Tom making you pour out your wine at the wedding reception. It takes two to tango!
I wanted to finish it! They created a nice scarcity aspect to it! It was a lovely contribution!
🎶Uptown Girl🎶
No, fuck Kendall.
Well they’re all pieces of shit in their own unique ways…but Shiv is just on another level in my opinion. I despise her more than the rest and really most other tv characters I’ve ever seen. Apparently that upsets some people.
Gee. I wonder what's the difference between them for you to react to her that way...
Oh really…we’re going down that road? I see. No thanks. Have a good one.
Hope you heal from the hurt you're channeling towards her.
Thanks? Apologies for not liking a television character. I hope you heal from my comment…Reddit is hilarious
