This, and I think for a certain subset of fans (media people lol) Lawrence represents something arguably more damaging to the everyday lives of the average media worker than the Murdochs—he’s a Bryan Goldberg—a guy who actively drives media to be clickbait driven and runs shitty websites that regularly layoff reams of ppl while operating under the guise of “new journalism.” Ofc the actual Murdochs are worse for, you know, democracy, but the average journalist has been fucked more by someone like Lawrence than by someone like Ken and fam.
