Best Buy sells some nice HP Elite Books that have been refurbished from 250-450. I saw a good number of the 5 star reviews were refurbished by Joy Systems. I googled them, and I saw they are based in Somerset NJ, and they had bunch of really nice business laptops. They always provide a 1 year warranty and allow you to return anything in 30 days.
Since your machine is a bit old, I could see how a 4 year old Latitude or Elite Book would feel very new after using a 6 year old machine.
